Master Sergeant Roddie Edmonds was a soldier captured by the Germans in WWII. At his POW camp near Ziegenhain, Germany, German officers asked him to identify all of the Jews at the camp. Edmonds ordered all of his men to step forward. When a gun was pressed to his head and the German officer threatened to shoot him if he didn't cooperate, the Master Sergeant remained resolute, saying "If you shoot, then you'll have to shoot us all."
