I haven't seen anyone posting about this, but this is why esim donations are so important. This picture was shared by @mirna_elhelbawi both on her instagram and the eSim Donors broadcast channel (also on instagram). please consider donating an esim, as israel is actively trying to block palestinian voices from being heard. for more information check here, Mirna's own instagram, @connectinghumanity_, or gazaesims.com. there are esim plans as cheap as 10 dollars, and on her website you can find discount codes. they are running low on all kinds of esims but the top three on their priority list right now are nomad esims (middle east region or israel), holafly esims (egypt), and simly esims (middle east). you can check the order of priority on here, as it varies weekly.

Today we announce the launch of Poems for Palestine: Recent poems by nine Palestinian poets & actions you can take to stop genocide now. Pub
âThough few of us could memorize an entire essay or story, poems come readily to the tongue and can be chanted or read aloud at gatherings, shared and re-shared on social media. They vibrate between us, move between languages, and connect memory to memory. Yet they are not only our shared sonic landscape, but also a visual one, with poetry written on stickers and placed beside bus seats and on lampposts; written on cardstock and held aloft during protests; penned elegantly for signs in windows. Poetry can be composed as quickly as a news story, and yet it resists the language of normalized oppression, searching for ways to help us see past the dulled passive voice of contemporary news coverage.â
With poetry from: Refaat Al-Areer, Fady Joudah, Hiba Abu Nada, Olivia Elias, Samer Abu Hawwash, Maya Murry, Ahlam Bsharat, Basman Aldirawi, Ghassan Zaqtan,

So I can't edit this to show what it is exactly, but I basically just got shamed by a Facebook "friend" for offering to share this link to get laundry supplies for my birthday. So now I'm miserable and that wasn't what I'd wanted to happen at all.
So if anyone would like to cheer me up, this is my family's Homeless Supplies list. I need as much of the laundry and disinfectant stuff as I can get. Clothes for me (or even my mom, because she still needs pants) would be a huge help, as I lost 40 pounds last year and most of my stuff is too big or it's full of holes. Food is much appreciated by all three of us.
Can't help? Reblog. Don't care/don't want to help? Don't be an asshole about it. Just ignore me or block me or whatever. But I am thankful to everyone who has helped, everyone who continues to help us, and everyone who is inspired to help. It's basically a waiting game with disability at this point for us to get housing, so all I can do is wait and hope.
But yeah. If you can help, or even just reblog, it would remind me there are good people in the world, and I sorely need that as much as I need anything on the list.

Luke the Dog (1913-1926)
Luke was an American Staffordshire Terrier who belonged to Roscoe Arbuckleâs wife Minta Durfee. Arbuckle began using the pup in his films with Mabel Normand, and later his own films, including many that also featured young Buster Keaton.
Luke loved Buster and Buster clearly loved him back, as he chose him to be in one of his own early two reelers; The Scarecrow in 1920.
When Roscoe and Minta broke up, Minta kept the dog, as he had originally been a gift to her from Roscoe. Roscoe got visitation rights however, and Luke retired from performing. He died at age 13 in 1926.

Al Jazeera bureau chief Wael Al-Dahdouh mourning the loss of his son Hamza, another Palestinian journalist who was assassinated today by an Israeli strike in Gaza:
These are tears of sadness and loss. These tears are what differentiate between us and our enemies. We are imbued with humanity, while they are imbued with murder and malice. Yes, we shed tears, but these are human tears, generous tears of dignity. These are not tears of fright and submission. This pushes us to reiterate that we will keep going. We have embarked on this journey before my son Hamza was born.
Wael had lost 12 members of his family in October of last year, including his wife, daughter, son and grandson who were killed by an Israeli strike on Al Nuseirat refugee camp where they were sheltering.
This brings the number of Palestinian journalists killed by Israel since October 7 to 109. Keep in mind that journalists Mustafa and Hamza who were literally chased and assassinated, were not only wearing their press vests, but they were in a car branded as a press car too.
This and the many examples before it should leave no room for doubt that this deliberate targeting of journalists and their families is a very calculated move that Israel for some reason thinks will suppress and hinder advocacy for Palestine.
Our role, be it by speaking out about Palestine or sharing online or protesting or whatever else we can do, is a role so necessary to tell Israel that we are inspired by those people's determination to tell the truth and if all Israel does is kill them, their beliefs and what they fought for will live in us forever.

Arthouse Muppets
Art by Bruce McCorkindale
What did you do while the children of Gaza were dying?
I argued with their killers.
What did you say?
I said that the innocent deserve innocence. That the sound of laughter is better than nightmares, and briefer. That the cost of killing may be higher than the price of dying.
Did they listen?
Do killers ever listen? They are deafened by their weaponsâ drone and by the grate of their own voices raging, denying.
Why were they angry?
They said that they needed to feel safe.
Safe from the children?
They said there are no children in Gaza, only young combatants.
And the babies?
They said they are little snakes that will grow, and it is better to kill them in their nests.
And what of the teachers? The singers? The artists? The fathers? The mothers?
They said that all who live there are terrorists. And as for the mothers, they said it is they who bear the little snakes.
Did your protestations do any good?
No. I lost my breath, I lost my words, I lost my heart. But had I not argued, I would have lost my soul.
Did any children survive?
In body, yes. In spirit, it is not sure.
The children who lived, what will become of them?
Their eyes will sear holes in the night sky. Remember this when you look at the stars:
that it is the burning eyes of Gazaâs children that hold your gaze.

Itâs feels so insignificant to have this struggle but Iâm getting my period soon and thereâs no place to buy cotton/pads or the specific painkillers I get and itâs so so cold my pre cramps are already killing me. It makes me feel so helpless. [@/ Dicktator117 on X. 12/28/23.]

This link here will lead you to this post of where you can support/send funds so that period care reaches those who need it in [Palestine] and other areas as well.
