Welcome to June!! The first week this month will be INTENSE as the themes for most of the days will be about protecting our values, re-evaluating our truths and philosophies, inciting change and cutting away old beliefs that are no longer needed. This energy is the massive tidal wave build up of energy I foresaw last week with the first quarter moon. Collectively these transits have a lot to say with the protests going on and collective disdain for the government and authority. Anyway get ready for the huge shifts to come along with a lunar eclipse! This week is not playing games!

These are ways that I personally devote my energy, thoughts and actions to the goddess Hel. I am sure there are hundreds of other ways to honor her, but these are just what works the best for me and my craft. 

✧ Leave offerings of fruit, dried flowers, small bones and darker crystals like oynx and black spinel.

✧ Visit local cemeteries, paying respect to those that have past and experiencing the peace and beauty of life becoming full circle.

✧ Decorate the home with bones, dried roses and wolves. Wear dark jewelry, or jewelry with wolves and skulls. 

✧ Spend time confronting the fear of death, and meditate on the idea that death and the concept of dying are not scary, but rather a natural process of life.

✧ Dedicate time and effort to helping those who are less fortunate by volunteering at different shelters, soup kitchens or other non-profits.

She is a very compassionate Goddess, who looks after the dead. She doesn’t just punish those who die in dishonor, but looks after those who die of childbirth, stillborn children, sickness and old age... etc. Helheim is not a horrible, cold, empty place for those who have done no wrong. It’s a place of rest. She cares for those souls. As I will not be dying in battle, I look forward to meeting my Goddess Hel in the afterlife.
