i love this because it's like. why did paleolithic peoples paint the hunt. perhaps to celebrate and honour brave deeds that kept the community alive. perhaps to bring luck for future hunts. perhaps to instruct those who came after how to slay the beast. perhaps to remind us we can: that the mammoth is not unkillable.

this graffiti, too, serves those purposes!

In my archaeology class we learned that part of it was a manifestation ritual, a way to succeed first in a spiritual sense before doing so physically.

Ah yes, every queer person is legally required to make this zine at some point. I had the creative juices flowing while playing D&D but had to do something that wouldn’t require too much thought.

It’s very like me to create the zine cover before I even finish my first draft of the zine. So far it’s shaping up to be what it’s like as a transgender man in online queer spaces with a focus on the transandrophobia coming from within the community.
