im gonna be honest here- i still don't really get why the magnus archives combined the fear of spiders with the fear of mind control. to the best of my knowledge spiders don't have mind control powers, and none of the other fears got so specific with their relevant animals. is it just that spiders are a very common but not particularly abstract fear and they needed to find a more philosophical angle for that one? or do spiders have mind control powers for real but no one told me yet?

I try to avoid shitposting in general but sometimes people deserve recognition for their genius.

I find it so strange that people think things can't/won't happen because they're illegal. I have never lived in a world where legality made a lot of difference to whether or not something happened.
