Gotta be quicker than thatÂ

Honestly love how much thought was put into each and every pokemons walking animation
From slower pokemon like Slowpoke getting left behind to Porygon glitching out as it hovers along they all look exactly how I imagined them as a kid.
Say what you want about the game as a whole but I think we can all agree that following pokemon is great and deserves to be in every game
If you wonât talk to your kids about Dungeons & Dragons⌠who will?

music theory student rates clefs
bass clef: simple and very easy to draw. not hard to understand how music works in it at all. an easy clef to read and to write in. 10/10.
treble clef: equally as easy to understand the musical layout of this clef. first one i learned. however, trying to draw one is impossible. i know exacty what it is supposed to look like but i canât replicate it for the life of me. fairly easy clef to read and to write in, at least if youâre using a computer or manuscript paper with pre-printed clefs, but if youâre writing manually, good luck trying to actuallu draw the clef. 8.5/10.
do clef: helpful when you donât have a specific key. points to do. nice. 6/10.
rhythm clef: nice. simple. good for percussion or for laying out rhythms, but doesnât do much else. fairly simple. not a bad clef. 4/10.
alto/tenor clef: what the fuck??? this clef is fairly easy to draw, just looks like a B. nice. but trying to read or write in this clef??? good luck fam! very confusing. how does it- what??? what the fuck?? no wonder itâs rarely used anymore. just. what the fuck. what the actual fuck. 0/10.
I WILL DEFEND ALTO CLEF WITH MY LIFE
But middle c is literally in the middle of the staff! And the middle of the clef symbol points you to exactly where that is in case youâre still struggling to find it!
i... alto clef... is a B?
im serious about that âstop saving things for special occasionsâ bit tho like. even if u arenât in your 20s. thats for everyone. its one of the most useful things ive learned lately
stop! just stop. eat the special snack. drink the expensive hippie tea. use the incense or the bath bomb or whatever you paid way too much for because you were feeling really bad and retail therapy makes u feel alive
when we save things for special occasions/rainy days it contributes to us feeling like A.) our day to day existence is lackluster and B.) you have to be feeling a certain level of Bad, or have to reach a certain level of Socially Accepted Achievement, to enjoy things
just give yourself stuff. there are definitely sometimes reasons to withhold things from yourself - as motivation, if itâs something you consciously want to use sparingly, etc - but at least for me half the time it just turns into self-flagellation and also cool things and cool experiences and nice treats just collect dust while i wait for some fabled day when i convince myself i finally Deserve it
just fuckin give yourself stuff dude. lifeâs so mindblowingly short
my grandmother died having only used her china like twice in her life. during the year or so before her death, she was starting to package up and give things of hers to her kids, and gave mom the china while sighing âoh i wish i had used the china more!â and mom tried so hard to convince her to just keep it, then, and eat corny dogs off it if she wanted. she insisted she couldnât possibly, you need a special reason to use the fine china. when nana died, we used her fine china as our everyday dishes for years. i was 18 when she died, and never really stopped having that in the back of my head. now, when i hear myself say âi wish i had a reason to wear/do/eat/use X!â i hear nana regretting never really using her china. and let me tell you a thing: spaghettios taste great when eaten from fine china.
Iâve seen this post making the rounds. Just wanted to add something to it that my sister-in-law once told me:
âA âspecial thingâ can make any occasion special.â
She told me this when I objected to her opening a really expensive bottle of champagne just to watch a movie. And you know, she was right. The champagne was amazing and while we always sit around and watch movies, that bottle made that night a really special occasion that I will always remember.
So, cut yourself a little slack and remember that an ordinary day can become special.
My mother has always had a habit of buying what she calls âlove giftsâ. Essentially she would buy me my favorite snack or take me to get iced coffee or buy me fuzzy socks something like that
Her reason for that was simply because she thought of us at work and wanted to get something as a way of saying âI was thinking about you and I love youâ
Now as a kid I just took the presents but when I got older I felt a little bad
She didnât always buy something small, sometimes it was some new makeup or video games or something else that was more than just a few bucks
When I told her âhey mom itâs sweet that you do this, but you donât have to go do this all the time. You can just wait until a special day or a special occasionâ
She just looked at me and said âbut Samantha, this is a love gift, and I love you every day not just the special onesâ
And ever since she said that I havenât objected again

How to Help a Friend See theyâre Not a Failure
1. Remind them of all the kind and thoughtful things theyâve done for you, and for the other people in their life.
2. Remind them of times when theyâve pushed ahead, and kept on going, even when it was hard.
3. Remind them of the times when things worked out eventually, and their efforts were rewarded, and they reached a personal goal.
4. Remind of the funny things theyâve said and done, and the times when you have laughed, and shared some happy memories.
5. Show them they are worthwhile and are valuable by doing something special that makes them feel theyâre loved.
Nora Charles would love this, with some whiskey.
Wooooow!
@dckhaksar unless you can do this get the fuck out
someone: hi
me: between 2009 and 2012 kesha satirised and parodied the archetype of the female pop star and the drunken party girl image. she has a 140 near genius IQ and studied psychology and comparative religion between recording her first album, the irreverent and heartwarming satirical masterpiece âAnimalâ. time after time she deconstructed the pop star image with a trash glam aesthetic that was authentic to her music taste and she frequently honoured her motherâs country rock/hippie mentality that informed her unique working class upbringing. âRainbowâ is a Butterly moment and the magnum opus of her career that honours her country rock beginnings and amplified the vulnerability of her songwriting. âWarriorâ is one of the most underrated pop albums of all time. she wrote every lyric to nearly all her songs and when you actually listen to the anecdotes in the verses of âTiK ToKâ itâs clear sheâs writing about real life experiences of parties in Nashville/California instead of just generic party song lyrics about being in the club. she really did brush her teeth with jack one morning in vegas, in this essay i will

To be fair Pokemon element logic is rooted in normal logic.

Reasons why Millennials prefer e-mail to phone in a work environment:
1) We donât want to talk to you.
2) We donât want to pause our music to talk to you.
3) We donât even talk to each other on the phone â why would we want to talk to you?
But the biggest reason is A TRAIL. If I e-mail you back, you can see what was said in the future. You canât tell me I forgot to tell you something because itâs right there. You canât tell me I ânever reached outâ because we can both SEE it. I donât have to trust your recollection.
And, in a group inbox, you can see who has been responded to. I got forwarded a voicemail from my supervisor (through e-mail! imagine that!) asking me to call some lady back for clarification. So I did, against my will of courseâŚand she said somebody had called her yesterday.
Who? When? What did yâall talk about? Is follow-up necessary?
Phone calls back and forth only work in a workflow where the standard procedure is to *log* phone calls in a shared system with a brief summary of what was discussed. Otherwise, yâall need to let us e-mail. Itâs not just about a generation gap. Itâs also about efficiency.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. Any feedback can be proffered via e-mail.
EDIT
Also: letâs keep it real â we multi-task better than you do. If Iâm on the phone with you, Iâm FORCED to do that ONE thing and put whatever you want above all the other things I couldâve been doing. If you e-mail me, I can research what you want (while doing other things), find the solution (while doing other things), and offer it to you in a nice concise package (while doing other things) without sitting on the phone with you in awkward silence looking for the answer to whatever you think is urgent. (Itâs not urgent. Youâre not dying. I know itâs not urgent.)
OP is being kind in saying âi donât have to trust your recollection.â people straight up lie, especially customers.
