Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
A/N: I absolutely headcanon Kirishima naming one of his sons after Bakugou, change my mind.
Sunday couldn't come fast enough, and even though it was only for professional reasons, seeing Kirishima again couldn't come sooner. You were just so excited. You had decided to first meet at an ice cream place, since you couldn't drive. You would take the bus there and then ride back with them for the day. You denied his offer for an uber again, stating it was ridiculous, and then offered to treat the family to ice cream. At first he said no, but one of the little guys had heard the conversation and was already telling the others they were getting ice cream. You laughed lightly at the memory.
As you were getting ready, the briefest thought of wearing your Red Riot spandex shorts passed by. You meant it when you said you were a big fan, his merchandise was littered throughout your house. A poster here and there, clothing (of all sorts), a little figurine shelf, shark oven mitts from the beach, etc. You thought wearing the shorts would be totally weird, but to satisfy your inner fangirl, you wore a Red Riot sports bra with a thin red muscle shirt over top, that covered most of your thighs too, and then in your last moment, decided to wear the shorts anyways. It was only right! They matched! Normally you wore them together, without the shirt, for when you went hiking. Plus, the shirt covered them mostly. Slipping on your red and white Nikes, you slipped out of the house, hair in a bun and a white purse by your side. You loved summer, everything about it, and knew it would only make the start of the job more fun. You were gonna have a blast with these kids.
The closer you got, the more nervous you were. How stupid were you to wear his merchandise? He was gonna think you're a weirdo, and you'd lose the job before you even started. There was no turning back however, especially as the bus started and headed to the next stop. It wasn't long until you were there, getting off the bus which was just a block away. You headed over, feeling light on your feet, the anxiousness over the clothes couldn't dampen your love for kids. The ice cream parlor was in sight, and you recognized the bright red hair that stood out. The little ones all had charcoal black though, and you only knew they were his because, well… where to begin?
There was the small one, climbing up his arm, the other one saying "Daddy" over and over again, and the other–currently having his attention–being consoled to what must be his ice cream on the sidewalk. It was comedy gold, really. Laughing, you headed over, quickly helping him with the younger one on his arm. He was a little startled at first, but realizing it was you, he let out a breath of relief. The smaller one was nervous when you first started to help, but then really looking at you, he immediately gasped and hugged you. "It's the babysitter!! Yay, ice cream lady!!"
Kirishima chuckled, and so did you. "Yeah, hi guys! Nice to meet you all!" The pouty one behind you sniffled a little and you remembered the scene. Turning around, you looked at him. "Hey there, I'm ____! Nice to meet you!"
Rubbing at his eyes, he stepped a little closer, "I-I'm Luca. I dropped my ice cream…" He looked the most like his dad, except for his hair. It seemed to kinda lay flat, but still had the spike look to it, dark charcoal locks pulled back into a small bun. Absolutely adorable in his little muscle shirt and basketball shorts. Sandals, of course, they all had sandals on.
"I saw buddy…" The small one in your arms turned around to look at him as you squatted to get on his level.
You chuckled a little, "Don't worry, I totally am too. Do you wanna get another one…?" Luca nodded real sad at that, "Alright, we gotta ask your daddy first though." Again, he nodded, walking over to Kirishima.
You were smiling at him while you stood, then turned your gaze to the mountain of a man beside, to see his response, only to find his eyes on you. They were wide, and his mouth in a wide, open mouthed smile, like happily surprised. Luca was trying to get his attention, but Kirishima just waved him off, "Y-yeah, it's fine with me Buddy. P-perfectly fine.."
You blushed a little under that gaze, but looked at the boys. "Alright, I totally need to get my own ice cream! So it's on me guys, let's get some ice cream!" They all cheered, and Kirishima collected himself.
"Thank you, I was trying to order ours when Luca dropped his and well, things just went from there.." You laughed lightly, herding them to the line with him.
"Don't sweat it! It's my job now, isn't it?" He laughed too, eyes still wide and on you.
Finally, after a few hectic minutes in the line, all the boys had ordered their ice cream, and now you looked at him expectantly. "What? I'm not getting any if you're paying."
"That's ridiculous, just order."
Putting his hands on his hips, "Nu uh, no way."
You laughed again, already for the 20th time, at his childishness. "Fine, I'll order for you."
"You don't even know wh-"
"Can I have a Rocky Road waffle cone, 3 scoops."
"Yeah, that's what I thought." You smirked a little, satisfied in your victory. After that, you order your own ice cream, and wait by the pickup side.
"How did you know?" His voice seemed to lower a little bit, and he was a little closer. The gravel undertone put butterflies in your stomach, and blush dusted over your face.
"Vanilla, Chocolate swirl, kids cone!"
"That's mine!" The kid you learned was named Katsuki shouted. Saved by the ice cream. Quickly, you walked up and grabbed it, handing it to them. You stayed by the boys as the rest of the ice creams came out, chatting with them, learning about them. The third one, the youngest, was Mica. The oldest was Katsuki, and the youngest, Luca. None of them really spoke about their moms, although with the topic of dinosaurs, it'd be hard. You were curious though.
After everyone had gotten their ice creams, you headed to one of the tables. As everyone sat down, you were surprised to find Kirishima sitting beside you, even asking Luca to move for him. To which the boy moved to the other side of you, effectively pushing you to Kirishima a little more. You were nervous, extremely, especially knowing that the little mischievous glint in his eye signaled he'd ask his question again.
You tried to keep conversation with the boys, but eventually they were finishing their ice creams and playing with each other, and you no longer had your protection, only a slight physical distance now that Luca was gone. "So," your face lit up and the butterflies returned, "how'd you know my favorite icecream?"
You scooted away a little more, to which Kirishima just leaned over to get closer to you. Your face was bright red, effectively matching with your shirt. "I told you I was a fan.." you mumbled.
He chuckled again, and ugh, the sound. "I see, and what kind of fan are we talking about, hmm..?"
Before you could respond, gooey cold hit your back and you jumped with a small scream.
