I am blessed to have @TheRightGreens juicing for me. I would not be able to have fresh juice without her help. This baby is not the tastiest juice of choice, BUT I know I need it. So I am getting it all down today!!!
Daily routine! 🍵
It's so important to get the basics in daily! 🍵
Changing to a completely different lifestyle and integrating new habits is very hard. It's scary. The unknown. For me and many others, it's life or death. Although I'm comfortable with my current habits. I must change. That is, if I want to survive. Being comfortable is no longer an option. Moving towards change is imperative. I'm going to walk and tip toe, but I am moving towards overall wellness. Clean eating, fitness, financial wealth, mental health, healthy relationships, all that is included in wellness. I am tired of being sick and I believe I've allowed a lot of outside influences impact my health. No longer. New mindset. New thoughts. Different perspective. Focused! Discipline! Consistency!

I'm trying to design and establish my daily routine. It's something I struggle with. I have a few things that are part of my normal practice, but I am working on long-term consistency. What is your daily routine? Do you have a morning routine? A bedtime routine?

Always Chasing...
Why do I always find myself chasing the next fad diet or a new plan that will miraculously make me how I see myself in my mind (another blog)?  Geesh!  I tell myself it’s just to get me to a starting place.  I just need help losing the first 10-15 lbs. and then I’ll be motivated to do it on my own. But, I get suckered, buy them, lose 10+ lbs. and then something “sweeping” happens in my life and I’m back to my emotional eating habits that not only put the weight back on, but leave me feeling tired, depressed, and all the other adjectives that fit.  As much as I’m tired of chasing…I need something…I need something to motivate me enough to say enough is enough…my life is more important than anything that is “sweeping” across my journey.  I would have thought that being told that I had 18 months to live was enough.  I would have thought undergoing chemo for 2 years would have been enough.  Losing my hair, skin and pigment changes…severe fatigue and extreme pain…all of this should have been enough, right?  I’ve lost and gained 30 lbs. over the past few years.  How do I keep it off?  I need to not only lose this weight to make it easier on my lungs and heart.  I need to recondition my body, so that the simple tasks of life are no longer a serious strain.  I want to be able to walk to the kitchen without passing out, walk up the stairs with ease, go to the mailbox without my cane.  So, do I chase…until I get the permanent results that I need and want?  Or do I just stop chasing and take whatever comes with my health and that state of my body?
Decisions…
Decisions…
Decisions…

Progress OVER Perfection
I am a perfectionist. There are times when it's a gift...and times when it's a curse. Â I struggle with this tug of war and often it is a problem. Â But as I prepare for my life's RESET (2015) it's imperative that my REstart on my wellness journey consist of progress vs. perfection. I'm learning how to let go. Â Face it...acknowledge it...let it GO! Â This is not just for life's experiences, situations, etc...those are key as well, but I'm in need of constant reminders for my health...my wellness...my peace of mind...my being. Â
If I didn't eat the way I wanted to yesterday...okay...I'll plan better tomorrow. Â If I didn't make it to water aerobics like I planned, okay...I'll go to the next class. Â I'm learning that it's okay. Â There's no need to allow obstacles to defeat me. Â Especially when there's truly so much going on in the world. Â So much going on in MY world. Â Â
I am choosing progress over perfection.Â
I shared this affirmation last week with my Unicorn Fit group and immediately transferred it to a post it note where I could see it every day. Â The daily reminder is helpful for me...it's necessary. Â And, I believe it's slowly making a difference.Â
I've chosen progress over perfection!
