Since I last posted anything, I used write a fanfic called "fake plastic trees" on a03 and I thought I should spoiled the plot I was trying to make.

The story was from inho's pov, how he met Gi-hun while being on duty , and how they got closer to each other. Jung bae obviously included

In this world, Inho never joined squid game, he has his mother and his brother with him still.

Throughout the story, I was trying to leave clues how maybe this alternative world isn't what it seems.

The ending of it, was going to be that inho was imagining the whole thing.

Squid game did happen, and Gi-hun is dead.

To cope with this lost, inho starts daydreaming. In later chapters , I was gonna write how he sometimes snaps out of these daydreams to continue his duties of being the front man.

The guards and the vips would start to notice this behavior, he's distracted , he starts forgetting meetings and stop answering calls.

The vips end up replacing him

With someone being the new front man, and Inho still coping by just being stuck in his own head most of the time, he suddenly snaps out of it

In a small apartment that he rented out, and a small handgun , he decides to stop daydreaming about Gi-hun and this make believe world.
