I created this when Opening Night was only just a fresh wee bairn… but found in drafts so here I am birthing this baby now! And a terrible edit to make this photo look like they are playing some sort of dice game… you’re welcome, I guess…
AM’s Opening Night loaded dice edition
A get-to-know you game with outrageously complicated rules, yet almost no fucks given for whether the roles are followed.

1: Find a list of songs released during the first year of your life. Pick the ONE that generates a big emotion for you (love/rage/sad, etc). Explain, or don’t :)
2. list TWO songs you like or love with “two” or “2” in the title (maybe try for “too”, “to”. I’m happy to accept artist name, or a prominent lyric here too 😅)
3. name THREE favourite bands/artists to stand on your Olympic medals podium (gold, silver and bronze). Which songs would you have them sing as their national anthem ? (I think the Winter Olympics might have been on or nearby when I wrote this)
4. name FOUR things you thought you’d be a fan of 4EVA. Bonus points if you are willing to state whether it really was 4eva, or turned out to be 4 a while…
5. Which FIVE people (living/dead/fictional/real) would you’d invite to a 6 person dinner that you were throwing. What dish would you ask them to bring? (If you don’t wanna answer the dish question, maybe add your own flourish to this party - e.g. what board game would you play? Would you allow them to choose their own seats? Who do you think would be the first and last to offer to help with the tidy up? Etc etc)
6. Name SIX good things that have happened to you in the six months so far of the year 2026.

at the risk of spamming people… I clicked on the virtual dice link to double check it so worked, and, well, I got a 2. So, as I am a rule follower till I die (except for my when my contrariness-tendencies rouse themselves… which is often)… here’s my answer for two:
There are so many, actually. It's hard to choose two, so I'm goiing with these, and avoiding further thought cos this is harder than I thought when I came up with the idea.

I became very attached to this song after first watching the Get Back series. It felt like magic, watching this come to life in that room.
And, I have had a little snippet of a fic (set around LaCigale 2018), that I've been toying with for a few years, so I thought I'd share given the connection.

The Sinéad O’Connor version is exceptional and, I think, the most well-known version for a reason.
What an incredible human being she was, and her legacy continues of course. The tear in the music video is iconic… her voice, her guts, her individuality and her humanity.

Firstly, let me congratulate you on creating a crazy new tag game - I’m sure that Alex will be proud that his lyrics are going on to inspire further creativity 🙌

Finally I decided on 2-4-6-8-Motorway by Tom Robinson Band as it’s a song that was played to me when I was little and brings back some happy memories of singing along on long car journeys 🥰

I got 5 so my 5 guests would be Miles and Alex and they would be forced to be honest all evening 😏 my grandad who died 10 years before I was born because he sounds like a really cool dude for a man of his generation, he used to openly show emotion and cry! Princess Di because I get the feeling she would have been gossipy and fun, and Jacob Tierney just to thank him for creating one of the greatest TV shows ever!
