like i said, i'm late so maybe someone has already discussed this, but i just wanted to put out my opinion. spoilers ahead obviously.

so we know kiri was born from grace's avatar body and the kids were speculating who the father was and whatnot. but since kiri has such a big connection with eywa in this movie, i figure that it was some sort of immaculate conception between eywa and grace.

just before grace died, she said to jake that she could feel eywa, and that she was real, (i am paraphrasing). so i think when they tried to connect grace's human body to her avatar one, something happened between eywa and her which led to a spiritual pregnancy of sorts. this would explain the actions around kiri and why she is able to feel eywa more than others, as well as control her, ie the scene where she protected herself and aonung.

the woodsprites surround her like they did jake in the first movie, which also means a pure soul and good heart, but could explain this connection between eywa and kiri, specifically with the waves when she sleeps and the seizure she had underwater when she had connected her neural whip to the metkayina's eywa, tree of souls. possibly the connection becomes too much in her body and overwhelms her due to already being connected biologically and spiritually.

anyway, like i said this has probably been theorised before but i just wanted to put my take out there. i am in love with both of these movies and cannot wait for the third one. i am so excited to see where they go with this, wherever that may be.
