Never been more disappointed in the health care system in the uk than in the past couple of years. Everything fragmented and ran in silos no basic communication between hospital teams and social care teams. Being pushed from pillar to post when trying to find the appropriate help. Causing suffering for all involved and usually a decline in physical and mental health.
The work of an unpaid carer saves the NHS and social care system so much money and they take advantage of that to the point of mental exhaustion for the unpaid carer resulting in another person needing the NHS services.
Something’s gotta change and as a scouser I can only pray Andy Burnham is the person to do it. But what politician can you really trust these days?
