D.gray-man chapter 257 spoilers

1. Its been 14 years. 14. I kept checking the updates solely for this moment.

2. Since its been 14 years ( or 15?) , i might not remember it right, but i swear i remember actual panel in the manga where both Bookman and Lavi innocence were found by someone? I cant find it now..

If that's the case, how did Lavi have Innocence on him?

Even if im imagining things, and both Lavi and Bookman did have their Innocence on them, Isnt innocence supposed to be reacting to the Noahs? Why would it just ...sit there? Why did the Noahs not just destroy it immediately? Its sus.

I actually always wished Lavi would somehow burrrn Sheril and everything in a mile radius in epic inferno... ahah.

I think there are three major things going on here and why/how they still had their innocence on them. 1) The goal with taking Lavi and Bookman was never to kill them. Sheril wanted information about what happened 35 years ago and about the 14th Noah, information that Bookman liked had/has in the Bookman Records. (Chapter 202) And Sheril had a good manipulation tactic in his hands, Lavi, Bookman Jr. with even the comment about being able to train another. Destroying his Innocence wouldn't do anything to manipulate Bookman Sr. Lavi is a better tool. 2) The over-confidence of Sheril I think is another factor. He felt he was in complete control and what going to get what he wanted. He had a parasite in Bookman Jr., who wasn't looking so good when finally got pinned to the wall. He lost his situational awareness and thought that he has a Noah would be easily able to overpower the two if needed. He didn't think that Lavi would fight back and/or to what lengths he would. Lavi saw a moment to activate his Innocence and took it. 3) Final point, which gets brought up in 257 when all this plays out, is that the Noah are supposed to leave the Bookmen alone, and certainly not kill them. Tykki brings it up. This is probably why when we saw Road and Lavi fight during the Ark Arc, it was more of a mental battle than a physical one.

All together, it wasn't something Sheril was concerned about, and it burned him (literally).
