I want the rogues and goons to be completely thrown about the arrival of Robin at first. Imagine running from the Bat and you come across this kid in an alley, dressed like a traffic light and very little and just staring at you. And they sort of pause like, what the hell is that thing? And of course, they harbour just a little bit of “aw he’s just a little kid” or “the fuck is wrong with Batman, bringing a kid into this?” before little Dickbin just breaks out into the worst devilish smile possible and fucking proceeds to rearrange their existence.
And it isn’t even just Dick. All the rogues and goons do a double take when they see a new Robin. With Jason, they kind of thought that Dick had somehow shrunk again back to that happy laughing kid only to get absolutely eviserated by a happy laughing kid with the thickest New Jersey accent and uncapped sass. After Jason dies, the few goons and rogues that know about Robin’s death, are fucking relieved when the Bat gets a new little birdie until this new little birdie fucking unpicks their plans in a matter of seconds even before the Bat even arrives and then proceeds to beat the shit out of them until. And at first the goons and rogues don’t even fight back that hard because they are partly glad because the Bat has mellowed out a little and Batman has already lost a Robin and is probably more protective than usual. Then Steph arrives on scene, dressed as Robin and the rogues are a little confused at first. Some goons prefer to get yelled at by their bosses rather than swing for her because, “I ain’t hitting a little girl, boss” and Steph takes absolute advantage of that hesitation. When Damian appears, the rogues and goons are a little more prepared, this Robin is going to be - IS THAT A FUCKING KATANA???
