It was funny at first for a while but goodness….. I see Tyler fanart that’s deeply meaningful and the comments are all ‘Tyler! Haaha Tyler x tree’ or some bullshit?? STOP OMG. STOP REDUCING HIS CHARACTER TO DEATH. HE IS SO MUCH MKRE THAN THAT. AIDEM TOO???

Ashlyn doesn’t make friends just because she dislikes people—I actually think the reason she really is shut off stemmed into a more so hatred. She just doesn’t have friends because ‘when you have hearing like mine, you hear even unpleasant things’, or something close to that. This makes me think that Ashlyn was probably bullied as a kid; probably verbally, unlike Logan, but still bullied. In the scene where she’s with her parents ( reference photo below ), she does look quiet but I think she’s just naturally shy.

I think in elementary school she maybe did want to have friends but I think she’s socially inept (stemming from her autism, she could have bad social processing) and kids began to gossip about her. She heard, of course, and just sorta shut herself off from everyone. She relied a lot on her parents and herself for entertainment growing up. I don’t know, though. I just think we haves lot of potential to give Ashlyn ‘weird kid in class’ vibes. Just generally off putting without meaning to be, not good at talking or understanding tones, etc.

It’s also aidlyn this or Tylenol that but guys…. All of these characters have a dynamic with each other. They are NOT rare pairs since they interact all the time?? A rare pair is two people who barely have screen time together. Some people (not specifically this fandom but overall) need to deadass realize that interactions can happen off screen. Yes Aiden and Logan don’t have much screen time okay? Does that mean they don’t interact? Fuck no.

So let me enjoy my ships in peace. Cannot even open a fanart of something other than the main three ships without hearing “ngl, I hate this but you did you” JUST SCROLL???

Anways, Some Logan x Aiden (loden) head canons of mine:

-Aiden is always trying to get everyone out of there comfort zone but mostly Logan (and Ashlyn but I’m not talking about her rn) because he knows next to nothing about his life.

“Hey, hey, hey. Logan,” Aiden would nag as he pokes Logan in various places: the sides, the head, the leg, the arm, etc. “Logan. What’s your hobbies? Like, other than astrology. Do you bake? Cook? What about your favorite flower. Why do your parents own a flower shop?”

And Logan, poor Logan, just has to sit there and accept this poking and nagging. It got worse after Logan’s family was revealed to be ex mafia members.

“Looogggaaannnn,” Aiden would drawl out annoyingly, the poking never ceasing, “were you specifically in the mafia? Or just your grandparents. Or your parents. Who are your parents? Is this why you’re so good with a gun? Have you ever killed someone?”

-They bond over not being able to see shit. Logan is always getting his glasses broken and Aiden always leaves his in too long so his vision gets all weird. They have to ask other’s to read stuff for them; it’s a mutual challenge they have accepted.

-Logan finds Aiden’s scars and birthmarks and such interesting. Aiden has a lot of everything, really. Scars, birthmarks, moles, freckles, the whole jizz. Logan likes to ask questions about them—in a much nicer way than Aiden—about how he got them, as in the scars. Aiden is happy to yap away about each story and how Ben patched him up every time.

-They are both very touchy people. Aiden’s love language is obviously physical touch and I think Logan’s is both physical touch and gift giving. Neither were given much physical affection as a kid (not because Logan’s grandparents were bad, they just don’t scream physically affection to me) so they find comfort in the other. They cuddle and Aiden is always trying to hold Logan’s hand; to Logan’s apparent embarrassment.

-Aiden is very obvious about his affection for Logan while Logan is much more closed off and shy. Aiden is absolutely determined to break through that shell because he’s convinced Logan is masking/faking his personality just like himself. He thinks Logan is the type to get loud when you know him (he’s right,, they just haven’t gotten quite there yet).

-Yapper x Listen but also yapper x yapper. Aiden is always talking with Logan always listening but sometimes they’ll find a topic that interests both of them to where it’s continuous talking between the two.

-They like to play video games together. Logan is significantly better than Aiden but Aiden likes to cheat so Aiden mostly wins. Also Aiden cheats by pointing of stuff going “LOOK!” And after that stopped working he’d lean over and give Logan kisses (mostly on the head) as distraction—it works every time.

-Mostly at home dates but once Aiden dragged them out to a rock climbing event and they had a blast (Logan kept falling and Aiden kept laughing his ass off).

-Both were naturally night owls before the PD so they also bonded over that. Logan likes to bring Aiden to look at the stars when they’re in the PD world because even though the stars are barely visible through the red sky, they can still be seen. They’re also far different from regular stars so Logan likes making guesses about how they work or why they’re different (head canon for the PD btw)

-Aiden is devastated he’s shorter than Logan because he can’t rest his head on top of Logan’s head. In turn, Logan refuses to do it because he slightly finds Aiden’s pouting funny (and cute but he won’t admit that). Aiden also likes to tug on Logan’s shirt to make him slouch a bit so they’re closer in height. Short x slightly taller dynamic go!!!

-Loud extrovert x quiet introvert my love. Aiden will order things for Logan occasionally because he’s used to ordering things for Ben and likes the feeling of being helpful to people; even though he’ll occasionally purposely fuck things up, he still does enjoying helping—that’s why he bought all the stuff for the group; not just because he was rich, but because he wanted to be of use.
