if you're bored and want to do something simple but fulfilling I recommend wikisource's proofread of the month. you can help public domain works be transcribed to be more accessible for everyone! even just validating a few pages helps a lot and there's a bunch of simple guides on the site.
Extreme doomerism would be easier to take if its loudest advocates weren't, largely, uninvolved people who will be fine regardless
Okay nice story about how everything's fucked and we need to give up forever and embrace self-destructive nihilism but before we continue can you clarify if you've actually experienced the horrors or just watched them on TV? Watched them on TV? Okay can we skip to the part where you weirdly frame having to see the news on social media as almost more traumatic than having to live it & promote your podcast
I’m so late on this… I’ve been a bit sick to draw, but everytime I draw Ran from now on, it will be dedicated to Wakana Yamazaki. Thank you for imbuing this character with such a lovely mixture of kindness and strength 💖 We miss you!
a convo I had with a friend a couple of years ago replays in my head endlessly
me: shit, it's getting cold, finally time to lounge in my pride cardigan friend: … you know, I know you're queer, but I've never seen you with a flag or any pride gear before! me:

As an asexual-aromantic, I’m tired of being told I’m “heartless” because I don’t feel love the way other people do. So, this pride month I’m partnering with Organization XIII

i’m really not even sure how this discussion started at “movies for children are often works of art in their own right, but as an adult who enjoys a challenge, i have no real place for them in my movie watching” and is now “movies for children exist”
The real problem, I think, is that way too many people (even those in support!) mistook your original post for a rec request, and not a vent about what happens when you put out actual rec requests. Presumably, when you’re actually asking for recs you’re a lot more specific than just “nothing for kids, please.”
Nigerian Pride 🏳️🌈🇳🇬
I meant to have this out yesterday. Happy belated pride. :)
I'm glad you all like the Nigeria Pride post!
Originally, I went in worried the opposite would happen. Growing up, I've been taught that Nigeria, the country, is homophobic. (I was born in America.) But over time, I learned that there's tons of other queer Nigerians; some are out, and some are in the closet 😭.
I'm also not used to this much attention, lol
Thank you all!
