Hey everyone

As much as I wish it didn’t happen, my car died today. It was a 14 year old Kia Spectra5. She was an absolute trooper.

So i’m going to have to find a used one somewhere. That means i have to dip into my savings and/or whatever money I have.

I just want to remind everyone that commissions are open and that I have a Ko-Fi you can donate too. (I recently reblogged the posts yesterday.)

I don’t want to flat out ask for money, nor would I. But if anyone was considering donating/commissioning at some point, now would be a very convenient time to do so.

So due to the severity of the situation, we went looking for deals today and I’m happy to say that we found one! The car we found was a 2009 Mazda6 with 139,000 miles. Even though its a little sporty, it was a good deal and it works well! This should last for awhile until I can afford a better used car!

My parents were kind enough to offer to pay for it for now, and in return I’ll gradually pay them back for it.

Thank you to everyone for the support, even if the situation ended up being short for now.

I’m keeping in mind that this is a used car that is almost 10 years old and has a lot of mileage, so fingers crossed for a good lifespan!

We found out today that something in the steering column needs to be replaced. After labor costs and ordering the part, the cost is about $900. For me right now it’s currently doable, but that means I’m pulling from money I saved for the college classes im taking this year.
