Having fun making Hello Kitty Space Marines conversions :D
Not sure if the full Greek odyssey will ever make it to the Reaper store, but I managed to snag these 2 months ago. The first reaper models that appealed to me in a while.
Also: the hot water + reshape and then dunk in cold water technique sadly, did not work on these guys. I must've repeated the process at least five times but alas, floppy spears!
Another early model of mine, the gelatinous cube from the ‘Nolzur’s Marvelous Miniatures’ line. I struggled with this one. The cube itself didn’t take paint well. I ended up mixing paint and alcohol and trying to paint it like that.
I suspect if I used ink washes instead of just thinning paint it might’ve gone better.
The top of the cube comes off, and the inside allows for one of most of the standard PC minis to fit inside. (Bigger races like the Goliath and Dragonborn had trouble fitting).
The other mini in the photo is the human male druid, from the same line.

Sir Daniel Fortesque from Klukva Miniatures.
Chronomancer Melharra of the Koryntekh Dynasty, the Agebane. I was eager to paint up the tentacley cryptek and introduce her to the battlefield. I love all the special effects and anti-gravity tricks used to make her look ethereal.
I 3-D printed these warhorse skeletons for an upcoming adventure in Candlekeep Mysteries called “book of the Raven”. The models on these were incredibly delicate and finicky to print, but I eventually got it to work. Models by Asgard Rising Miniatures, print and paint by me.
Finally painted one of my beholders! I’m not keeping this one though, it’s up for sale in my etsy shop. The color scheme is based on the Xanathar even though the sculpt definitely isn’t.
I like the inclusion of clear parts in a lot of the nolzur’s miniatures but the eye cap for this thing is a mistake imo. No matter how nicely you paint it up that cloudy craggy-edged contact lense will make your beholder look like it has cataracts! Which might be cool for the zombie beholder but not this decidedly alive one.
This is the third beholder I've painted.
I might have a problem :T
I just really like them. Maybe its because each gets to be unique and different.
Maybe it's because they're such iconic monsters.
Maybe it's because, unlike regular minis, the eyes aren't tiny little specks that require perfect pinpoint precision to paint.
Anyway, I really like how this one came out. I played around a bit with the airbrush on this one, and tried out doing a little bit of purple undershading in which I think turned out quite well, though it could've been maybe just a touch lighter in retrospect.
I printed the support piece separate from the mini and base, so I could do it in transparent resin and give it a purple stain. My thought is it's meant to be a sort of psionic pillar of anti-gravity or something. (because psionics are purple, as we all know).
I also had a go at making a glow effect on the base around the support, something I've been nervous to experiment with so far. I'm always worried about ruining a paint job I spent hours on, but since this base is a simple and quick paint job it was the perfect bit of low-stakes practice.
This model is Beholder by Lord Of The Print.
