to all the yous i loved before
my new piece is up! please leave a like if you enjoyed lol
a bit more personal this time
Do you ever write a sentence and then realize “Nah, that’s too self aware for you” and backspace a bunch of times.
non-writers will never understand the mental illness of writing an entire conversation in your head while doing dishes and then forgetting every word the second you open a blank doc

i want to consume your soul
unanswered questions of yearning and romance
banter is honestly pretty intimate. like allowing the other person to play with your flaws and tease you while trusting they don’t cross the line? chef’s kiss.
enough about bitter pills to swallow
what about sweet pills, ones that glide down your throat with ease, a sticky cherry aftertaste coating your tongue that you easily wash down
you think you’re waiting for love to find you when in reality it has saved you in a thousand different ways since the sun rose today
fog swirls around me quietly in hours of the morning a peaceful presence waving as i go about my day
obscuring my vision and covering my eyes “don’t look, it’ll be easier that way” I stumble through the fog blind
a sudden gust of wind takes away my blanket the harsh breeze slicing my cheeks with knives In pain, I open my eyes Witnessing worldly horrors so contrast yet alike
Sometimes i wish i could flee back to the comforting fog where i was an ignorant fool where ignorance was akin to bliss
but the fog never forgets it never comes back

i want to feel alive again. i want to feel the wind in my hair, the golden hour sun that makes every moment seem worthwhile; the tenderness of human touch; honey dipped words on paper, spilling the secrets of your soul; the gentle sunlight peeking through trees on a sunny afternoon. i want to feel reckless and carefree, like nothing matters more than losing yourself in the moment, like nothing matters more than just- being alive.
sometimes i think about dying just so that i can see the reactions of those around me.
what would those faces show? Regret? Grief? Mere indifference?
i wonder how many people would cry for me. I wonder how many people would even show up to my funeral. If they do show up, would this just be another event to them? Something to show up at and save face by being nice to my parents while they count down the seconds before they can leave?
How many of my friends would think about me at night, unable to close their eyes because they’d see my soulless ones in return? Oh how quickly they’d move on, onto the next friend to fill that vacant gap in the group. Would I just be a couple of fleeting memories, some idle thoughts on a thursday afternoon? Would any of them think of me later in life, and have anything good to say?
This is all a very vain thought process. in truth, I’d want my death to affect no one if possible. If I had the choice, I’d rather just die and be gone, everyone can move on with their lives as normal.
but ofc, i’m much too spiteful to die this early in my life. Regardless of what people think of me, I’ll be here anyways, and living my life nonetheless. If they want to continue this charade of liking me, trying to be friends with me to use me, or just because they feel bad for me, so be it. That won’t change this feeling of loneliness I can’t stop feeling. Nothing will.
A/N: I think I wrote this because I just read a hanahaki fic where instead of the person feeling unrequited love, they felt unlovable, by everyone in their life. Don’t worry! I am not depressed, just going through feels because of this fic!! Everything is fine lol
i’m not unhappy rn with life but i’m also just so done. I don’t know why. It’s a very odd feeling where you don’t know what’s wrong, but you inherently know something is wrong. If you can’t even express what’s wrong, how will you ever be able to fix it?
Then again, my friend tells me I shouldn’t trust any of my thoughts after 9 pm so i’ll take her word for it
I used to think, how could someone let their wips pile up? I'll immediately start on them and get them done asap.
... I see my mistake now.

i need to actually get my shit together omg, how are people so on top of their assignments? I know everyone usually just sacrifices one thing out of social life, sleep, and school, but I don't get how to balance everything ;-;
Pro Tip: The Way You End a Sentence Matters
Here is a quick and dirty writing tip that will strengthen your writing.
In English, the word at the end of a sentence carries more weight or emphasis than the rest of the sentence. You can use that to your advantage in modifying tone.
Consider:
In the end, what you said didn't matter.
It didn't matter what you said in the end.
In the end, it didn't matter what you said.
Do you pick up the subtle differences in meaning between these three sentences?
The first one feels a little angry, doesn't it? And the third one feels a little softer? There's a gulf of meaning between "what you said didn't matter" (it's not important!) and "it didn't matter what you said" (the end result would've never changed).
Let's try it again:
When her mother died, she couldn't even cry.
She couldn't even cry when her mother died.
That first example seems to kind of side with her, right? Whereas the second example seems to hold a little bit of judgment or accusation? The first phrase kind of seems to suggest that she was so sad she couldn't cry, whereas the second kind of seems to suggest that she's not sad and that's the problem.
The effect is super subtle and very hard to put into words, but you'll feel it when you're reading something. Changing up the order of your sentences to shift the focus can have a huge effect on tone even when the exact same words are used.
In linguistics, this is referred to as "end focus," and it's a nightmare for ESL students because it's so subtle and hard to explain. But a lot goes into it, and it's a tool worth keeping in your pocket if you're a creative writer or someone otherwise trying to create a specific effect with your words :)
