He had more or less forgiven Johnny and only started their rivalry again when Johnny started Cobra Kai. As soon as Chozen showed him he had changed, Daniel forgave him. The minute he found out Mike wasn't working for Silver, he had no problem with him. And honestly, even if he decided not to forgive them, that would be reasonable. Why does he owe forgiveness to people who tried to kill him??

The only people he didn't forgive were Kreese and Silver because they were grown ass adults that terrorized him as a child for no reason. People are really out here saying with full confidence that he should have just accepted Terry's apology. Miss me with that bullshit.

The plot:

Silverusso:

I'm so conflicted about Silverusso tbh. One one hand, it's very morally objectionable to me since Silver is an older man who manipulated and abused a minor/very young person, so shipping them makes me uncomfortable. But on the other hand, the idea of Daniel having been in an unhealthy, traumatic romantic/sexual relationship with someone when he was young makes for a really fascinating story and provides a lot of interesting insights into why he acts the way he does in the future. Also, I'm a hoe and I love Silverusso smut because of the D/s dynamic going on so...

Damiko:

I truly love Damiko so much. They connect on such a deep level and seem like an extension of Mr. Miyagi and Yukie. They are 100% my favorite canon ship.

Johnny/Bobby:

I have nothing against this ship at all, but I like them as friends and don't really see them as anything else. I like the dynamic of Bobby being the reasonable friend trying to curb Johnny's impulsiveness.

Lawrusso:

Thank you for the question! In terms of Lawrusso, my favorite era is post-TKK/when they're in their 20s. I just graduated college so I find that time period pretty relatable (especially the job search grind 😭). I also really like reading anything where they're both still trying to process trauma from their pasts and need to work through it together. That's what my current WIP kinda focuses on, so it's been on my mind a lot lately.

And I was kind of excited about seeing them at a high school reunion and stunting on them because I was assuming karma would make them miserable in the future, but then I paused for a moment and realized that they're all probably fine because they're white people and racist white people rarely face consequences 🙃
