like yeah, dumb move borrowing money from a loan shark dumbass, but also?? they didn't want to tell us because they were going to deal with it on their own time, it was their problem. they didn't ask you to take on their debt, in fact the arc literally starts with homie straight up dodging when lida asked if something was wrong because urbain's phone got a notification while they were in a meeting.

the entire arc was corbeau pushing urbain's debt onto you because urbain was dodging them, it wasn't pushed onto you because urbain needed you to pay it off for him. corbeau was pressuring lida and mc into submission bc thats how he gets lackeys, im like 90% sure he was planning on using mc and lida as hostages so urbain would stop dodging him. why else would you invite someone that's indebted to you into a hostile environment for them?? even if intimidation is literally their brand, that shit is still questionable in ethics.

like its lowk a lot more productive to hate jacinthe (shes so pretty but dear god im gonna throttle her) and corbeau than urbain (at least until homie becomes quasartico ceo) bc corbeau is the one that cornered team MZ into it. i deadass rejected corbeaus offer to take 900k debt for urbain and he straight up threatened me?? and lida was the one who took the deal! i was really mad at her when she did that, i was so ready to jump his ass.

also, people keep bringing up the eternal floette thing. did u skip the dialogue after he asked to go up even if he lost?? urbain straight up explains WHY. it wasn't just "pls i want to do it", he says it'd be better if he's the one that goes up with floette because mc has zygarde (WHO IS WAITING ON THEM) and if anything goes wrong up there, mc can still count on zygarde to save urbain. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT FUCKING HAPPENS.

imagine if mc was the one who went up there and shit went the same way it did in game. urbain does not have a bond with zygarde the way mc does. urbain would not be able to save mc, mc would straight up die with ange and the entirety of kalos..

AND HE GIVES YOU FLOETTE IN THE POST-GAME ANYWAY SO IT DOESN'T MATTER. HE'S JUST A GUY. LIKE AN ABSOLUTE BOYFAILURE BUT LIKE STILL.

also i play as harmony so thats why this is about urbain rather than taunie. i love my team mz boyfailure please be nicer to him.
