The Gaps Between

anyway so it’s been a week and uh. i know i mentioned in the first post that if i come back i might not follow some of you back and i want to touch on that a little more

i.... mean it. i only rp with 11 people right now, and i’m cutting that number down to an initial 5 with possible room for expanding. i’m dead serious. when i first come back, like... the last thing i want to do is immediately experience the shit that made me really decide to take a step back so like??? i’m going to follow a shitload of meme blogs and like muse-building blogs or whatever, but currently i have plans to only actually write with 5 people when i get back, and one of those people is Barely Ever On (bless), so really it’ll be like writing with 4 people

“Like you could make me do anything.” Sebastian has almost been stabbed by Andrew, so he shouldn’t assume anything. To be fair, he hadn’t known about Andrew’s feelings about touching, but all the same, he’s not going to underestimate him. “Yeah, yeah, whatever you paranoid bastard.” But Sebastian does lock the door because he is in fact also a paranoid bastard and it’s just common sense. He then grabs a spoon and joins Andrew on the couch. “You’re so fucking demanding,” he says through a mouthful of ice cream. 

“Oh I’m sure it’s not dangerous that you can barely move. That’s just fine.” Sebastian shouldn’t be getting so heated about this, but he’s got to say something when some kid’s telling him that it’s all fine that he’s basically confined to sitting down for the next few minutes. “Yeah, but it’s a little harder to dodge like this,” he says. Not that Shoto would be able to dodge should Sebastian pull a gun, but just in general. “I’m not much for joking,” he replies cooly. “And I was curious, given that you’re not supposed to be here. So perhaps I’m opportunistic as well.” He was given an opportunity and he’s not going to turn that down, even if this is just a kid. “Thanks.” Not that he sounds pleasant about it, but at least he got something of an answer. “Of fucking course you did.” Kids these days, looking up empty buildings on the internet. “I suppose that’s one way to do it. Doesn’t really tell you much about what happens when people find you there.”

        “I’m still young enough to mix my drinks and get away with it.” There’s a brightness in her tone that makes his clear that she’s grinning throughout, even as she crosses back over and takes a seat on the other end of the sofa. “And it’s free.” Free things are always better, after all. She stretches out, and a teasing note enters her tone as she continues. “Would I be here stealing your drinks if I had other plans for the night?”

        Grey’s hands flex rhythmically at his sides as they walk, half restless and half in response to the ache in his knuckles. It’s not like that’s new, but it doesn’t half smart. He shoves them into his pockets in another moment, and shoots her a sidelong look. “Whatever,” he mutters, “Ain’t like there was anythin’ else to do.”

It was a nice town, with some inexplicable vibe that Thespian found themselves drawn to. They’d loitered there longer than they had with other places; something about the people who lived there was terribly intriguing, like they all had a little extra pride or happiness, and Thespian had even gotten a job. An actual job. First time for everything, but bartenders found out secrets faster than therapists, and Thespian was deathly curious about the place. When a young man entered the atmosphere seemed to shit just barely perceptibly, like the pride swelled, and Thespian looked him over unabashedly and slowly before drifting over to where he sat, a playful smile showing in place of a normal greeting. “I haven’t seen you around here before.” Not that they’d been there that long, but long enough to recognize people. “I’m Thespian. What can I get you?”

Alright, I think I’ve decided what I’m going to do. I’m going to post everything from my queue right now just to get it out, and then I’m going to take a minimum of a two-week hiatus, and then I’m going to drop at least half of my muses and start a new blog.

          “Can’t a man break into someone’s flat under false pretenses and enjoy a nice cuppa naked as the day he was born?” Technically a man can do all of those things, but that in no way means he should ever be allowed to. Sebastian tosses Andrew a bit of a smile, raising his teacup as if in toast. “Hey, welcome home. I ordered pizza.”

it isn’t uncommon to see women come in & out of the gym, or to see them in the practice ring sparring with one another. what he hasn’t seen, though, since he first started coming here, is any woman show any sort of interest in sparring with any of the men– not that he has anything against that, of course, it just hasn’t been a sight to be seen until now.

he stands off to the side, watching the pair spar– or more precisely watch her drop her partner to the ground with relative ease & with moves one normally wouldn’t see in a gym. once the pair are finished, mike waits for the young woman to climb out of the ring before approaching her. “i don’t think i’ve ever seen kevin get his ass handed to him so quickly before. that’s impressive.”

        “I get it.” He does— he really does, much more so these days than he ever did back then. Now that he has the girls to look after, it’s… different. He’s more conscious of safety and all that entails, and can’t fault Michael for wanting to keep him safe back then. Even if it fucking sucked. Felix moves himself a bit closer and reaches out until his fingers brush against Michael’s— carefully, because he doesn’t really want to startle the guy right now. “Michael, look. A lot of things are seriously fucked up, but we aren’t. That’s a start. We’ll work up from there, hm?”
