Twilight Princess Replay-Along Interest Check
Hello fellow 'Twilight Princess' fans!
Remember when we said to stay tuned for more events on this blog? Well, the announcement of the 'Ocarina of Time' remake maaaayyy have thrown a spanner in the works of one we plan on running later this year. All we know for now is that the remake is going to be a 2026 release, but knowing Nintendo, they love to release big games for the holiday season in November.
The problem is that TP's 20th anniversary is November 19th, and we wanted to run a three week event starting from that date (as if we're all booting up the game on release day) where we replay the game together and celebrate it as a community, but now we're facing the possibility of our event getting overshadowed by the release of the OoT remake 😱
So without a confirmed release date for the OoT remake but a pretty good guess of when it might be, we wanted to ask you...
Would you still participate in the Twilight Princess Replay-Along Event if it overlaps with the OoT remake's release?

To give you an idea of the structure of the TP Replay-Along Event, the basic idea is this:
Week 1 - The Fused Shadow Saga
Covering the beginning of the game all the way to drawing the Master Sword.
Covering the Gerudo Desert all the way to to the City in the Sky.
Week 3 - The Tyrants Saga
In which we beat Zant and Ganondorf, but also focus on all the fun side content there is to do.
Since the focus is on revisiting the game, we plan to encourage a more casual approach to fan work contributions: you can create anything you like that's related to each saga during that week, and/or just live blog about your experiences, and you're welcome to join our discussions about each saga of the game at the end of each week.
It is worth mentioning that since we are a Midlink-focused blog and will be running this event in the Midlink Discord Server (part of our motivation behind this is to get people inspired for Midlink Week 2027), we are going to have a bias for these characters and their connection, but we still want to celebrate 'Twilight Princess' in its entirety. If you don't like Midlink, this might not be the event/blog for you, but that doesn't mean you can't celebrate this game's 20th anniversary in your own way 💖
