Itβs the same shit with men calling Carol Danvers βCarl Manvers.β If a female character doesnβt fit the incredibly narrow ideals of what THEY think women should be, then they hate her. And they obsessively insist that sheβs not a real woman.
Iβve seen plenty of women with this body-type, AND this type of face.Β Plenty. But I guess they arenβt good jack-off materialβ¦. so they shouldnβt be allowed to exist. These men will claim sheβs notΒ βwoman enough" and is just ~βbeing made into a manβ~
Oh, and the MCU version also isnβt showing T&A, or bold lipstick/mascara, and is wearing the same practical outfitting as the male charactersβ¦. so of course sheβs already anΒ βESS JAY DOUBLE-YOOβ character, or whatever.
So I decided to compare my body to She-Raβs, because a frequent thing Iβm hearing is that sheβsΒ βflat-chestedβ.
Iβm a 24 year old woman, seen here with super stylish, totally-adult penguin pants. I make She-Ra look like the bustiest woman alive. I honestly see more sense in the claim that her hips arenβt as wide as most womenβs are, and she has broader shoulders.
And, well, shit. I guess women who have narrow hips, or a small ass, or broad shoulders, arenβtΒ βreal women.βΒ Just like how Iβm not a βreal womanβ for having a flat chest. I mean, I guess She-Raβs other big crime here is not wearing lipstick?β¦ and god forbid, having thick eyebrows? (Which a lot of real girls do).
God forbid any of these girls/women get ANY representation at all.
βIf we canβt jack off to you, then you shouldnβt exist.β
In the end though, it all comes down to demographic. There was a He-Man reboot a while ago, that fans of the original series lovedβ¦. but it didnβt do well, because the actual children of 2002β the demographic it needed to appeal toβ didnβt like it as much.
Jee, itβs almost as if you gotta appeal to the current generation, not the nostalgic piss-babies.
Even a creator of the original She-Ra is defending her reboot, rejecting the idea of anΒ βideal female body,β and mentioning that the toxic nostalgic fanbase are seeing things through a pre-pubescent lens, having imprinted on the original She-Ra βlike baby ducks.β
