i loveeee music, i listen to pretty much anything but 70s-00s rock will always have my heart, especially grunge, punk, and riot grrrl! im a singer, and i play guitar, saxophone, and occasionally drums. i really want to learn bass

so i recently read phm and watched the movie a few days later and loved them both. ive been seeing a lot of posts and tiktoks abt it as well and i have one thought! im not sure if anyone's said this yet tho so i thought i'd share

while im not against shipping grace with certain characters, whatever hcs you have (as long as they arent harmful) are great for you. however! i think its super clear (to me and my interpretation) in the book that dr grace is aro/ace or something adjacent! as opposed to the movie, book ryland never mentions romantic/sexual relationships (if memory serves) and seems fairly uncomfortable whenever sex is brought up. he's appalled at the idea of him and stratt being in a relationship. i personally love the idea of aroace grace (as well as aro stratt!!), and it threw me off a little when he mentioned an ex girlfriend (i believe in the scene abt astrid) in the movie, because i think i subconsciously hc'd him that way but thats just my opinion! i think adult male aroace rep (or aroace rep at all) is really rare and i think he fits it really well!
