And people take that as some kind of genius gameplay integration when in actuality, it makes him seem so incredibly shallow and backwards! If anything, it's contradictory to everything else about him.

So he's actually this really intelligent and grounded individual who's jaded because of the world he lives in but also he can betray his entire fucking country and leave his friends behind because of a woman, a group of people he resents.

Can you imagine Virion betraying Chrom and Ylisse because Pheros put the moves on him? Or Laslow leaving Xander's side because Corrin was within a few feet of him? Or Sain joining the Black Fang because he just thought Sonia was so fucking sexy as she abuses her child?

Hmm... I think it's cute how Pent and Canas both geek out over one another and immediately can't wait to tell their wives, and I thought it was cute how Serra drooled over Lucius. I remember asking my brother if Sain showed any sort of jealous trait in any of his supports so I could gauge whether I could make a comic about Sain getting his own vice thrown back in his face, but our only example is with Kent and he's super willing to let Lyn go in that one, so I called that idea a bust. Sain would probably just cry dramatically until Serra paid attention to him again, which she would be into, because they're both losers.

I only got to C rank with Isadora and Harken, so I don't think they ever figure that out in my playthrough canon, but it was gearing up to be juicy and I will be googling the full chain later.

I also found it charming they acknowledge that to farm the Marcus / Merlinus support, Marcus had to have been on guard duty the entire time.
