it’s one thing breaking someone’s privacy, it’s another tagging them in the breakage of said privacy. jesus fucking christ 🤦🏻‍♀️

And it’s another being so unable to separate reality from fantasy that you would berate someone for being with their partner during what is a very stressful, lonely time when they would most need to lean on each other. I love fandom culture. I love obsessing and fantasizing. I love writing for Rami and his characters. But I only do it because it is a common reference point for all of us. I could write generic smut for made-up characters. The reason fandoms exist is shared experience. We all think Rami is gorgeous. We all know the sound of his laugh. We all know the way he pronounces his “s” sounds and that clipped LA accent that drops the ends of his words, so the dialogue comes alive. We know Merriell’s cocky strut. We know how animated Finn is and how much pain is behind Elliot’s blank stares. These are things we collectively draw on that make reading and writing much easier and interactive. They are only a reference, a stand in. So I find the absolute disgusting hatred that gets spewed at Lucy for existing in a 10-foot radius of her own partner completely ridiculous. They have been together for years, they are in love, and I will not participate in or countenance through silence that type of hate-for-sport. That’s not why I’m here. Lots of people I’ve met through this fandom have been lovely toward me, and hopefully I’ve built up enough of a relationship that this is taken as it is intended, which is with love. It’s disappointing to see. I could say nothing and just keep my head down, but the behavior is wrong. And especially now when his and/or her mental health might be precarious, being separated from work and family and friends. I can’t imagine the pain it would cause me to hear those who claimed to love me hurl abuse at my husband. Or how much it would hurt him. Humans should not behave this way toward one another.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you a billion more times for saying this. I couldn’t agree more. To see this type of berating and bullying behavior come from grown ass adults is so troubling and sickening and i truly hope anyone who has this harsh of feelings, towards a woman who they don’t even know, is able to wake up and see that Rami’s personal life is just that, personal. If you’re going to make accusations towards a complete stranger simply because they are partnered with someone you fancy, then you need to take a serious look into who you are as a person and I hope you are able to wake up and come back to those of us who love and support Rami no matter who he is personally involved with. When I made this blog and began writing for this fan base nearly a year and a half ago this shit was still going on and I hope it dwindles out soon so we can all enjoy it again.

having to be “mature” at a young age sucks bc you aren’t really “mature-mature” you’re a child playing at a maturity bc you don’t have the foundation to be the bigger person when conflict arrives so what you do is ignore it bc ignoring a problem and being happy about a resolution look the same to your inexperienced eyes. Then you get adults praising you for a development above your peers but you aren’t really developing. You’re stagnant. Your peers will grow up and experience things and make mistakes and grow from them but you will keep yourself in this box, ignoring things ignoring ignoring ignoring until one day you have to face the fact… it wasn’t maturity you had. It was fear. And now you’re an adult too and you make all of your choices based on an emotional risk/costs analysis bc you don’t know any emotion other than fear & you have to start healing from your own childhood by making peace that you weren’t really a mature child. You were just a child who was given too much to carry & didn’t know how to say “no”.

Passover Seder with Rami HCs

A/N: Hello all! Sorry I’ve been MIA for a while. I will post my other writings starting tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy some Passover HCs from your resident Jewish Rami stan. I realize some of you have probably never been to a seder before, so I’ve tried to explain it as much as I could. Chag Sameach!

****************** -Passover was just around the corner, and you decided to take your new boyfriend Rami to your family’s annual seder.

-Rami had never celebrated this holiday before, and felt a little guilty about going because he’s Egyptian, but nonetheless wanted to come and meet your extended family.

-So, on the first night of Passover, the two of you arrived to your parents’ house, prepared to eat a lot of food and have a fun time.

-Rami had met your parents before, but he was now being introduced to many grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, all of whom took a liking to him almost immediately.

-He even agreed to wear the traditional yarmulke at the dinner table. You keep telling him how adorable he looked in it.

-After greetings are exchanged, you and your family all sit at the table and begin the seder. Rami sits between you and your mother.

-Your father recites the opening blessings, while you quietly tell Rami all the steps before. Your mother pours everyone a cup of wine, and you encourage Rami to drink it at the same time as everyone else.
