do you know when and how Ukraine's borders were drawn? do you know what the Donbass is? Donetsk, Lugansk? do you know that 40% of these regions' populations identify as ethnic Russians? that 70% are native Russian speakers? that they have generally favorable opinions on Russia? do you know about the Orange Revolution? do you know about the Lugansk independence referendum, which Ukraine rejected?
do you know about the conservative and neo-nazi, Western-backed Euromaidan coup d'etat that took over Ukraine in 2014? do you know what the Azov bataillon is? who Stepan Bandera is? do you know about Ukraine's airstrikes and killings against its Russian ethnic and ethnic minority populations in the same year?
do you know that these killings continued from 2014 to 2022, with the Ukrainian army's neo-nazi bataillons like Azov killing thousands of Donbass Ukrainians in a bloody civil war, occupying and abusing the population? do you know about the treaties Donetsk and Lugansk signed with Russia in 2022 to establish that Russia would intervene if Ukraine continued attacking and killing its ethnic Russian population?
do you think Russia is the aggressor? what do you think would happen if Russia withdrew from these regions? try answering all these basic questions and maybe we can take your opinion seriously.
you are clearly from the USA. you believe your government is evil and lies to you constantly... except about Russia. probably the DPRK too. i'm guessing you did not think much about China or had a negative opinion of it until recent years either. perhaps you thought Israel/Palestine was “complicated” and only learned about the Palestinian liberation struggle after October 7th. most likely you don't believe the US government's justification to attack and undermine Iran, Venezuela and Cuba, and every other enemy of the United States ruling class.
and maybe you understand that when the USA lies about these wars, other Western/NATO countries join the lie too. so why do you believe the U.S. government and capitalist Western media are telling you the truth about Russia? why do you not check what the enemies of the USA-EU hegemony, and more neutral third parties, say about this war?

apparently the murder happened in 2023 after doing some research but the murderer has been found not guilty.
