Would you rather have a Phineas and Ferb summer or a Gravity Falls summer?
would you rather have endless fun forever or have satan attack you every day
Me when I remember something I said ages ago that was wrong or my values no longer align with

Jiang Cheng will crouch down, pet Fairy, give her a couple of cookies, smile, give her a kiss on the snout, stand up and with the most serious look tell you that the dog is fat and spoiled because of Jin Ling.
video game with a flaccid -> boner meter in the ui but the whole game it never changes at all and nothing makes the boner meter go up so youre jusg aware of the protags flaccid penis the whole time for no good reason
to be clear in my thinking this would only work in a completely nonsexual game, of course it Could have a function in some sort of porn game depending on the sorta porn youre going for but thats not really my idea here. this concept only works to me if its completely useless and unrelated & the protag isnt even sexualized even a little bit, otherwise i think it loses its charm. you just have to know about their penis and you have to wonder why the entire game and you have to try and figure that out until you realize theres no reason and youre just aware of their penis because the dev is probably fucked in the head or something like that. and then by that point youve reached the highest level of connection possible with a game developer aside from maybe ambushing them from behind and drinking all their blood until they die. and thats how we fix the gaming industry

I know we talk a lot about the literacy crisis and the horrible anti-intellectualism happening rn but I think we need to talk more about how much of an entitlement complex the stupidest among us have developed
What gets me is they posted this *after* looking up the definition. So they know how easy it is to just take five seconds to look up a word you don’t know. And yet instead of going “yay I learned a new word” they still felt the need to complain.
Bro they got geep in Ohio

Can we pour one out for batmanshole?
hello fellow non-Black tumblr users. welcome to my saw trap. if you'd like to leave, please name one (1) Black woman author who is not Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison, bell hooks, Octavia Butler, or N.K. Jemisin. bonus points if she's published a book in the last five years.
For my own future reference, and for anyone else who wants it, a list of authors mentioned in the notes. (I cannot promise this is comprehensive, there are a lot of reblogs and I might have missed some.) I've included a link for each author, where possible I've tried to find one that leads you to their books, prioritising own websites/publishers, falling back on wikipedia otherwise.
If you find any mistakes in the links let me know and I'll edit. This post will be in two parts, because I literally broke tumblr with how many authors there were. I think it's about a hundred and fifty.

Hell yeah!!!
Hey non-Black people this is not an ally test! You don’t win an ally badge if you can name another author! It’s a reminder to seek out more diverse reading material AND a reminder to acknowledge the underrepresentation of Black women in the publishing industry!
This has been my main argument against "AI" from the very beginning.
OpenAI scraped the entire web. All of which had been a labor of love from humans. Wikipedia is the backbone of a lot of LLMs, and that was volunteer human labor. They stole it and now they're selling it back to us.
And worse, they're trying to destroy the free sources that they stole from. It's destruction of human knowledge on an unprecedented scale. The burning of the library of Alexandria has nothing on this.
Until death, all defeat is psychological.
