So I have two Kids, and they asked, "What will happen if the Primarchs ended up in the Pokemon World?"
you know what? BET! I am a writer, I am Easily Entertained, Lets do this. Here you go, the First Installment of the Primarchs in the Pokemon World Starting with the Dark Angels Primarch. Lion El'Jonson
The First Primarch of the Dark Angels. The Lion of Caliban. What will happen to him if he was thrust into a world filled with Creatures known as Pokemon?
The first Primarch finally awakened from a slumber. He remembered an Orbital Bombardment pelted him and his legion, minimal casualties that included him, and now, Lion's back was to something that he has not felt in so long. He opened his eyes, the sky a clear peaceful blue, something that caused him to stiffen in paranoia. When skies are clear, that usually is followed with the Fiery smoke that indicated war and battles. He sniffed the air, and all he can smell is fertile soil, dirt, the smell of fresh foliage. He sat upright, only to find his power armor was gone, and all he was in was his body glove, and he furrowed his brow. Silently thankful he was not fully naked, not that he minded, he was raised in the forests in makeshift loincloths to cover himself, so this was not a new feeling to him. When he finally got up, he ventured into the Forests, and scanned his surroundings. He encountered a bushel of Strange blue berries, grabbing one, then taking a bite, to test its edible capability. he spat it out grimacing in disgust at first. Beggars can not be choosers. he took another bite, this time not spitting it out, and the aftertaste was mediocre at best. He did not get any sense of poison from the berry, it was just something he preferred not to eat. He continued his walk only to see something in his way, crawling upon a tree, and slinking up. A tiny green Caterpillar, only one foot from how Lion measured it. It was a massive Bug in his experience. The Main body was green, with yellow underbelly and tail, large red horn like feelers on its head. and big dark eyes. It would be creepy, if Lion had not seen worse monstrosities. He swiped it off the tree, to examine it and it screeched, wiggling out of his grasp, scared from the massive Primarch grabbing it from the tree.
"CATERPIE" it yelled out and before Lion could react at the weird name, it spat out some string out of his mouth, blinding Lion temporarily. Lion grunted, the sticky webbing stuck in his face cursing to himself, as he just let go of the strange green bug and pulled the string away. A Caterpillar creature who uses blinding sticky web to get away from danger. It was good for Lion to know for later. He did not begrudge the poor thing either. It was a natural response to deter any form of predator or big organism that seemed threatened. While he scraped off the last bit of web, he turned to see a small boy, around the age of maybe 10 or 11, holding a bug net, a hat with a veil over it and some khaki outfit. Lion flung the web down upon the ground and he focused his gaze at the boy, wondering why the child was in a forest filled with what sounded like large birds, rats and large foot long caterpillars that spat web for defense. He was definitely glad he was wearing his body glove if children are around here.
"Hi Sir! I'm Rick, you want to Pokemon battle with the Pokemon I just caught?" He asked, holding a spherical red and white object in his other hand.
"I do not fight children, boy." Lion spoke directly, moving past the youth and uninterested in what the boy offered.
"well, I mean, we will not be fighting, sir. It will be our Pokemon! Look! ill show you!" Lion turned to see Rick open up his ball only for it to reveal an almost identical Caterpillar that he encountered not too long ago. He glared at it, then he stared up at the boy and then pointed at the creature.
"What did you say this was called?"
"A Pokemon, Sir. this one is called a Caterpie." Lion stared at the child as if he grew another head. He has fought battles that no one would be able to survive, he has traveled across the stars, and crusaded in the name of the Emperor, but this felt like he must have eaten something that is actually causing him to hallucinate.
"Sir, do you know what a Pokemon is? If you Don't Professor Oak lives in Pallet town and he can give you information on it. Wait, tell me you did not walk through Viridian Forest without one! That is Dangerous." Lion stopped his study of the little Caterpie and he squinted his eyes.
"I have been through even worse conditions than a bunch of weak creatures, boy. Now, Tell me where this 'Professor Oak' is." He spoke dangerously, and Rick now paled with slight intimidation. A Large man in only long thermal underwear, giving him a glare that made the poor boy shake.
"Y-y-you continue down that way, sir. Follow the path and it's a town at the edge of the water."
Lion did not stay long enough to say good bye to Rick. Rick just stared dumbfounded as the Large Primarch left into the forests, disappearing as if he melded into it so effortlessly. Lion Strode out of the forest, making a direct route to this Professor of Pokemon.
The Lion did not break a sweat venturing from the Forests, down the roads and into Pallet Town. It really was a small place, he walked a few paces to notice the large white building with circular windows, some of the people staring in confusion at Lion walking through the route, empty handed, no pack, no clothing except for what seemed to be a one piece Thermal suit that protected him. He went through the door of the lab and he was met with a few Scientists, all of them wearing coats and writing things down. when he came in, they turned and stared, wondering where the man came from.
"I am looking for a Professor Oak." He declared, his voice echoing in the halls. An Elderly looking Gentleman with short gray hair and kind eyes turned to him, his lab coat draped over his blue shirt, his smile inviting, but Lion did not welcome it one bit. He Sized up the Professor as Oak Began.
"That is me, Welcome to Pallet town! How can I help you?" Lion stood up to his full height and Oak dropped his jaw, at how massive this man was. Lion stood a Considerable ten feet, looking down at the 5 foot 9 Professor.
"Dearest me, Good Sir. you are a considerable size." He exclaimed, before he clears his throat, and Lion just grunted, still unsure of this man.
"I was told you can help me understand what this Death world is about. These Creatures known as Pokemon and children befriend them to battle." Lion said and Oak nodded his head.
"well, I would not classify this place as a Death world, but you came to the right place if you are looking for information regarding our world, Sir." Lion did not believe it. The bugs here were a foot in length, the Creatures here wanted to attack and fight, and they were quite aggressive to even him while he walked here to Pallet town. Oak walked to a table and picked up a small red Data slate, then walked back to Lion, handing it to him.
"I have studied Pokemon all my life, and I have done extensive meticulous research on these wonderful creatures known as Pokemon" Lion listened opening the data slate, waiting for it to power up, and then reveal creatures either hidden or redacted, but the list was extensive, up to 150 entries of these creatures. Lion rose an eyebrow entering into one, but it was still cloaked and redacted.
"It has been my dream to fully complete this pokedex and to gain every bit of information of every pokemon." Lion turned his head back to Oak and he gently regarded the Pokedex.
"If you researched these xenos known as pokemon your whole life, then why haven't you fully completed this dataslate?"
Oak fell silent, confused on what Lion called Pokemon. Xenos. what are Xenos exactly. the Professor Parted his lips trying to answer when the door opened again. Lion turned his head to see a young girl, again, slightly older than the last child Lion saw, possibly twelve, and she looked slightly frantic, panting heavily. She dropped her jaw at the massive height of the Primarch, only for Oak to gesture her to come closer.
"Lara, hello, how can I help you?" Professor Oak beamed, but Lion kept his stoic face studying the child. She had short mousy brown hair, her blue eyes wide and slightly afraid of the massive man next to Professor Oak, but when Oak reassured her that the man will not harm her, she put her straight brown hair into a Scrunchie.
"I hoped to get my first Ever pokemon, Professor." She said timidly, her eyes on Lion, slightly intimidated by his size and aura. Lion looked at Professor Oak as Oak gave the child an apologetic look.
"Well, I am afraid you were late, so I can't give you a starter pokemon." Lara lowered her head solemnly and sighed.
"Aww," she turned away about to walk out the door, when Lion pointed at the girl.
"Halt, girl." He called out and Lara froze, then Lion turned his gaze to the professor.
"Can this child go out there to find one on her own, or is it too dangerous?" He asked and Oak blinked as he stammered.
"well, I mean, if She has an adult that has a pokemon to help her, that is fine but I still highly recommend—" Lion did not let Oak finish his statement. He walked up to the girl and Lara whimpered at the sheer size of the man.
"Come, we shall get you your xenos partner." He walked toward the door but Oak called out.
"Wait, You Do not have a pokemon, sir Lion! I Do not think you should—" Oak saw Lion turn his head ominously at the Professor and Oak shut right up, stammering as Lion casted a glare, as if daring Oak to stop him.
"I-I-I want to give you two at least 5 pokeballs to begin your journey. y-yeah, that is totally what I mean to say." He said, a sweat breaking from his brow as he walked over holding ten empty pokeballs giving 5 each to them. Lion softened his gaze, looking at the tiny spheres in his hand, observing them, as Lara jumped up and down happily.
"I shall do my best, Professor." Lara exlcaimed gleefully then skipped out the door. Oak looked at Lion as he left taking the child with him.
"That man might be even more dangerous than a pokemon itself." He said, wiping the sweat off his brow. Never has anyone given him such fear as Lion el'Jonson.
Lion was a bit more wary and more assertive to the Pokemon. When a flock of Spearow flew away to give him and the girl Lara space, he immediately grabbed one, the slowest one of the flock, and he ignored the loud squawking and pecking, as he held it in one arm, then took out his pokedex with the other. the poor thing flailed, screeched in his arms, but he scanned the Spearow with no effort. The Machine let out an Automated voice:
"Spearow, the tiny Bird Pokemon. It has to flap its wings at a high speed to stay airborne" Lion turned to the girl and held up the still fighting pokemon,
"Do you want this creature as your partner?" He asked, the spearow biting his fingers, to no avail at his iron grip. Lara looked mortified at the man holding the poor thing like he was prey and she stammered, trying not to grimace at the pokemon's struggle.
"Um. No thank you." She said nervously, hoping the man lets the Pokemon go. Lion sighed loudly, then opened his hand, the Spearow squawked at his face, but Lion swatted it, making it cry out and fly off.
"These Routes have limited pokemon, girl. Now is not the time to be picky." he uttered, slightly frustrated, as he grabbed a Mankey by the scruff of the neck. It puffed up and Actually punched him. He blinked at how audacious this pokemon was. He tossed it, as Lara stared at Lion now looking slightly pouty.
"Do you have to be so mean to the Pokemon, Sir?!" She said, stamping her foot and Lion looked down at the girl, seeing her concern and nervousness. it took a lot of her to fully stand up to the Lion. He looked away grunting, not even gracing her with a look
"I am not concerned for my treatment of them." He gruffly answered until he heard the child stop her walking. He turned his head, and looked back at the small thing. She had an angry look on her face, slightly pouty her eyebrows joined together in a youthful glare. This threw off Lion immensely. No one at any age dared gave him a criticizing look like that. It was as if HE was the one being chastised.
"Do not give me that face, child." He commanded.
"No! You have to Be nice to the Pokemon, or else, I am not helping you find your own Pokemon!" it was Lion's turn to furrow his brows and glare at the kid.
"And what makes you think I need your help to gain any form of Xenos partner. I do not need one to survive this Death world." Lara sat down, her legs crossed and she crossed her arms.
"Fine. I will not move from this spot until you agree to be nice to the Pokemon!"
"Petulant games do not work on me, girl. Get up, now!" Lion growled, and Lara turned her head away in a huff, her eyes closed making Lion fume. Are Children in this Death world So stubborn and immature?! When he was her age, he fought chaos beasts four times his size, and did not throw tantrums like this. He went to chastise her more, until his ears picked up the register of feet. A quadrupedal creature from the sound of it, and despite its small stature, it sounded intimidating. Lion wasted no time moving in front of the petulant sitting child and readied any form of defensive stance. Lara noticed this and she looked around, wondering what the Lion sensed. She got up, only to see rustling out of the leaves, a pink creature, with large pink and green ears, a little tooth sticking out, but a face that showed it was ready to fight. Lara gasped.
"A Nidoran! It's also a male!" Lara exclaimed. Lion took out the dataslate and the Pokedex scanned the pokemon and uttered the robotic voice:
"Nidoran, the Poison Pin Pokemon. The Male Nidoran's ears detect distant sounds, and extends toxic barbs when angered." The Nidoran growled at Lion, a Brave little thing wanting to attack Lion who is ten times larger than this puny little Pokemon. He will give that to the creature. it must have this bravado due to its poisonous nature.
"Lara, You should be careful, This beast is poisonous." Lion stated, putting his Data slate away, but then he saw Lara pointing out.
"I want it! I want this pokemon as my partner!" She said happily. Lion was taken aback by how excited this girl was. to try and befriend a very obvious Poisonous creature to battle and journey with. It baffled him to watch her move up, as if the warning from the Pokedex was only a second thought to her. The Children here, were brave, he thought to himself. The children here, were built with no fear. The Nidoran growled, lowering his head and ready to attack. Lion set into instinctive action, and swiftly moved, knowing this is a sign to charge. The Pokemon charged indeed, and Lion Braced himself. The little creature tackled his leg and Lion was baffled by how much the small thing can hit. He lowered down to grab it, but it jabbed him with the horn, making Lion grunt, the poison seeping in his now wounded hand.
Sir Lion!" Lara yelled, but Lion held out his hand. His Primarch constitution should be able to shrug off the poison fine, but With how the Pokemon was attacking him with that horn, Even he had his limits. He kept defending, bare knuckle fighting, taking poison stings and his vision starting to blur at the amount of toxins his body was taking. This was strange. He should be easily able to shrug off this amount of poison. He was struggling, Stumbling slightly, but he did not give up just yet. The Nidoran charged again, and Lion snarled Batting the Pokemon away, and it hit the ground hard, Lara gasping as Lion stumbled again, falling upon the tree and feeling the poison course through his veins.
"OH NO! Sir Lion, no!" She yelled and Lara turned seeing the Nidoran struggle to get up, but lower his horn as if still not backing down without a fight.
"It's…up… to you…" Lion struggled to say, as he was feeling himself a little woozy, his eyes drooping as if he needed a sleep. Lara nodded, then she looked up at the Nidoran and took out a ball, enlarging it in her hand and stepping in front of Lion, ready to catch this fiesty Pokemon
Lion woke in a groggy daze, yawning as he got up. He felt better than ever, as he sat up still in the grass, Lara was looking at him in shock.
"Sir! You are awake! you were Sleeping the Entire time! I was scared." She said, as Lion rubbed his eyes. The Sun looked it was going down and Lara was giving him a concerned look.
"I am fine, girl. The creature? what happened to it." He demanded, his face showing he was ready for a battle again. Lara smiled, holding a ball up to him and Lion looked at it, and he stared at her, as she giggled.
"I caught it. My first ever Pokemon. and I could not have done it without you, Sir." She said, holding the ball as if it were precious. Lion sat up and sighed, but then Lara spoke again.
"I could not leave you alone in the forest, you were wounded a lot from the Nidoran, and I am so sorry." She said with a saddened look on her face. Lion waved dismissively.
"I have suffered worse, girl. However, Your job is complete. You caught your new companion. and I want to say a few words before you go off on your journey."
"Yes?"
He got into a kneeling stance and he looked straight at the child, his hand on her shoulder and he focused his gaze, then spoke in a voice gallant, and moving she did not make any move but to listen:
"Your bravery, and your determination gave you this creature to be your companion in your journey. That Creature, no, that Pokemon will reflect your will, your strive and your goals. Remember this day, Lara, be a Trainer that will not yield in the face of Adversity, which was shown in your courage to face this beast when I fell. Do you promise? Do you Promise to set yourself to these heights and to know no Fear?"
Lara straightened up, the small speech bolstering her small self as her eyes sort of twinkled at the newfound bravery that the Lion instilled in her. She nodded her head.
"I will not let you down, Lion Sir." Lion rose to his height and then he let the girl go as she looked down at her pokemon.
"Sir? I think you make a great Pokemon Mentor. I hope you will be okay." Lara turned around, heading to the exit of the Veridian Forest, her new partner Pokemon with her, and into a new adventure. As for Lion. Now what? He turned around, and took a silent walk back to the Pokemon Lab. He had a newfound respect for these creatures. the Pokemon. a Small Nidoran, a creature of only one foot in measurement managed to take Lion down to a slumbering stupor for a few hours. He had to give it to the children who make it their goal to train these dangerous creatures, and to battle with them. Children such as Lara brave enough to face them and to coexist with them. He smirked to himself as he opened the door to the Lab, hearing Oak's greeting.
"Oh, Sir Lion. Welcome back, how did the search with Lara go?" Lion walked up to him and his face softened slightly, before he responded.
"I think I have a way to help you in your journey to learn about these creatures. I feel it will benefit us both."
—-Three Months Later—
The Boy Winston looked around the Veridian Forest, his map open and the description of this "Lion of the Viridian Forest" given to him by Oak. A Tall Man accompanied by a Nidoking, Dark Green clothing, and always wearing a hood. He stepped a foot in and he heard a deep voice.
"It is dangerous to be here without a Pokemon, boy." Winston turned and he widened his eyes at the Lion. Dark Green hood and the cloak trailing behind him. A Nidoking behind him, walking in step, barely reaching the man's hip and on his belt was satchels, bags and three more pokeballs strapped on him, each of them bearing the Dark Angels crest that showed those pokeballs were his. The Nidoking huffed as Winston swallowed the lump in his throat.
"um, Hello Sir. Professor Oak told me to seek you out, that you are the Lion and you will help me find my partner Pokemon." Lion removed his hood, and Nidoking moved behind the Primarch, in a military precision.
"If the Professor sent you, you came to the right place. Which Pokemon do you wish to find here?"
"A Pikachu, Sir!" Lion turned his head slightly and he made a guttural growling sound, mimicking the sound of the Nidoking's growl and Nidoking made a nod and walked ahead moving further into the forest.
"Come, boy. they are further out west." He said and Winston hesitated slightly. which caused Lion to pause. He was a boy no older than 10, of course, and He looked nervous at first. It reminded him of Lara that day.
"Bravery will come to you, boy. Do not falter, and take a step, for it will be the first step to your Adventure." He told the child, Nidoking stopping and turning to the two. Winston straightened up and hearing the man's words. He took a step and he followed The Nidoking and the Lion to find his first Pokemon, and his first step to his adventure in a World of Pokemon.

My Dreams have been recurring. It went to the point, that I had to tell Magnus that I kept dreaming of the Imperial palace, trying to see if he had any pointers on moving further in my dream. Unexpectedly, Magnus did not give me any form of advice. In fact he seemed to avoid the conversation altogether. When I try to press him further on it, he would teleport away. It irritated me to no end.
My dream melted into the Imperial palace again, on that Chaise, surrounded by superior Golden elegance. This was the Third time this week I have arrived to the Imperial Palace. I only had to dream of it, and I was there. Like Clockwork, I got up from the chaise then walked down the hall. The usual Custodes was there as always, patrolling the halls. I walked in step, content he did not know my presence, or he was simply ignoring it. Either way, I am grateful. Perfect soldiers created by the Emperor himself, that is a fight I do not want to be stuck in.
I saw my Destination and I stepped out of the line with the Custodes and I ran down the adjacent hall perpendicular to the one I was down in. I kept my pace, I ran, which felt more and more sluggish, a typical feeling I always felt when Dreaming. When I turned, there they were, the emperor in His Armor, and Malcador in an old robe, his staff in hand, as they were looking down at a table. The Emperor this time looked up and I shook my head, raising my hand.
"Wait don't send me back! I have so many Questions. Please.—" I begged, trying to step closer.
He did not listen.
"You do not belong here, Faline. Go Back"
His eyes shone and I was greeted with brightness. I gasped, and tried to block it away, only for me to wake up in my bed, the morning light hitting my eyes just right and my alarm only 2 minutes to ringing. I groaned, covering myself in my blanket. Every time I was closer to the Emperor, and even Malcador, I was just sent back to the waking world. I did not understand how I was able to even contact the Emperor and Malcador when it was confirmed I had no abilities. I heard Oliver in the living room singing along to the song Out There. He must have Hunchback of Notre Dame on background while he was making breakfast. He was the more talented singer out of the two of us, so I did not mind him singing. I just stick to the guitar, learning it at an early age by learning to play Dave Matthews Band songs. It was actually nice to hear after the dreams I have been having. I remembered Oliver was staying with me for a bit, for Angron to be better accommodated with Being alone after the Surgery. It was one week of him living on his own, and if he can be independent without the Nurse, Oliver will be dismissed. I opened the door, only to see wings folded off the chair and Sanguinius applauding at the small show he was getting while eating Oliver's cheesy eggs and toast.
"Hello Sanguinius, Hey Oliver." I announced myself, holding my robe before putting it on and Oliver grinned, pointing at the plate of my own eggs and toast. Walking to the kitchen and taking it, Oliver can easily see my hint of annoyance on my face.
"Morning, Sis, good dreams?" He said, as Sanguinius was casually eating the egg looking over. I sighed as I took another bite rubbing my eye slightly.
"I dreamed of the Emperor again. I was in the Imperial Palace once more, and every time I am closer to Him and Malcador, they wake me up.I do not know what it means but I have been dreaming nonstop of them." I said, Oliver chuckling at that as if it was some kind of joke. it was Sanguinius' turn to show concern, his brow knitted as he placed down his plate but Oliver spoke up before the Angel said anything.
"Faline, if I dream of a sexy tall tan man every day, I would not be fretting. I would get all dolled up before bed, make a good impression." I stared at Oliver, unimpressed and Sanguinius looked slightly awkward at the fact Oliver called his Father sexy.
"I doubt dolling myself up would get the emperor's attention anytime soon, Oliver." He chuckled as Sanguinius spoke his opinion.
"My Father works in strange ways, and to allow you access to the Imperial palace even if in dreams, it means of course there is something he is willing to let you access as less and less Primarchs are needed to arrive here in Selleton." I looked at Sanguinius, and nodded, confirming his speculation.
"Regardless, I am just more focused on what the Emperor wishes me to see. Every single dream is of him and Malcador and I cannot access them."
"Who's Malcador, sounds like one of those evil Wizards people fight in those DnD games." Oliver asked stopping the VHS now, since we were all Talking. Sanguinius did not answer since he was taking a bite of his egg and toast.
"Old man, holds a Staff, just as Powerful as the Emperor, his Advisor, I think?" I tried to remember what Malcador was to the Emperor. He is also known as the Sigillite." Oliver looked at me, then at Sanguinius who nodded in confirmation and Oliver just shrugged as if giving up on learning more Warhammer characters. To be fair, it can be overwhelming, so it was so valid of him to just give up. Sometimes it is hard for me to make sense of everything that Sanguinius is so used to
"I guess. This Warhammer stuff confuses me." Oliver said in defeat. I chuckled, shaking my head as I went to walk back in my room when suddenly I felt a slight pressure of my head. It was familiar, and I knew exactly this was Magnus trying to telepathically speak to me. I tried to open my mind again, and closed my eyes, before Magnus' voice echoed in my brain.
"You need to come to the Meeting hall in the Town Center, this is important for you. It is regarding the Nook" Magnus' voice echoed as if it were in an empty room, but it sounded so clear in my head, like he was right there in my ear. I blinked my eyes open, the pressure easing up, rubbing my head when Sanguinius got up, his face wrinkled in Concern.
"Is everything okay?" He asked, and Oliver got up as well, confused.
"Magnus told me to go to the Meeting hall. I am not even dressed." I said, and Oliver looked on, slightly puzzled.
"So, Magnus talking in your head, what does that feel like? Faline? Sanguinius?" Oliver was genuinely curious. Sanguinius chuckled, trying to find the right words to describe telepathy.
"You can imagine getting your brain stroked and your ears popping slightly, that is how it feels when Magnus enters your mind." Sanguinius described, and Oliver grimaced. I decided to just add in my own experience.
"Okay, imagine a voice massaging the inner part of your brain, but it doesn't feel good. His hands are a little too rough. to me, that is what it feels like, I am never going to get used to telepathy." Oliver had a horrified look on his face. He shuddered slightly and clutched his brain.
"Whatever, That does not sound pleasing at all."
"Yeah, sort of why I'm not moaning when Magnus talks in my head. Not Exactly ASMR." Oliver looked so done with the conversation waving his hand dismissively, now wanting to change the subject.
"Anyways," He said, with a forced sigh "Hurry, girl. who knows what that old bitch wants." Oliver called out. I grinned moving back in my room as Oliver shut the door of my room. it did not take long for me to get ready, only for me to come out, fixing my long sleeve dandelion top, and looking at Sanguinius and trying to be as tactful as possible.
"Sanguinius, I know this is.. a touchy subject for you, and I am not talking about the wings." He turned his head to the side, and I sighed, taking the silk Scrunchie to my hair, and fashioning it to a bun and Sanguinius frowned. He knew what I was going to talk about and he turned away.
"Believe me, Faline. I had my own concerns as well, While I am not as impulsive as my legion the Blood angels, I assure you, I do not think you have to worry about me consuming blood as a result of the Red Thirst. I take it you and Oliver know of my affliction? Can you keep it between the three of us?" Oliver stared at Sanguinius then he opened his mouth and closed it.
"Yes, we sort of Talked about it and I only had this to say; What in the Twilight?" Oliver said then Sanguinius turned to him in slight confusion.
"What is Twilight?" he asked and Oliver lit up as I rolled my eyes. Of course Oliver will try to make a Fan of Sanguinius to that series. There was no stopping if Sanguinius shows interest. but I showed my obvious disdain for it as Oliver was starting to explain it.
"A Book series I refuse to put on my shelves, no matter how many times Oliver texts me to put it in the Java nook." I said putting on my socks and shoes. Oliver gasped defiantly and he rushed to my closet.
"And you are just gonna let them gather dust in your closet, how DARE you!" I gave Oliver a look, challenging him to try me. Oliver just groaned as he looked at Sanguinius, dropping the subject, and to finally give the Primarch some reassurance about his insecurity.
"I am a nurse, I am good at keeping things confidential, its like part of the oath I took. Your bloody secret is safe with me, hun" He said, reassuring the angel. "Now, Let us go and make Miss Selleton uncomfortable.."
"I think Miss Selleton took a trip away from Selleton after the events of Angron." I said, and Oliver called out.
"From what Angron told me, she might have, seeing as how she almost set Angron upon the town." Sanguinius said. "I am glad Angron is slightly calmer last I have seen him, and believe you me, last time I seen him, he was not this cooperative." I nodded, hearing Sanguinius, a sound of relief in his tone. He seemed to be more relieved the longer he has been here.
"That was part Nail removal, part Oliver Treatment." Oliver proudly said, making Sanguinius chuckle.
"Anyway, get yourself ready." Sanguinius folded his wings but then he held out his hand, bringing it out to Oliver with a soft and grateful smile. "Oliver, I want to thank you for the breakfast and show. It was delightful." Oliver beamed, taking Sanguinius' hands, giving him a smile in return.
"Oh anytime! You were in such distress when you arrived, I just wanted to make sure you were welcome, the Oliver way." I smiled and closed the door, leaving them to shake hands. It seemed Oliver was also a positive influence on the Primarchs. First Angron, and now Sanguinius. Perhaps I did not have to be alone in this journey, and that seemed, so relieving to think about.
Oliver, Sanguinius and I walked in the Meeting hall, and it consisted of the two Park Rangers Lion and Leman, along with their new recruit Corvus, Magnus and Perturabo on the other side of the meeting hall, Perturabo's Tablet propped up on a table, Rogal Dorn and Fulgrim in the front, with Miss Georgia Selleton as members of the Town Council, Angron, Curze and Ferrus were amongst the chairs in the middle of the Meeting hall. Jaghatai Kahn was amongst the front and Lorgar was in the back. I was slightly shocked the Kahn was here, but it seemed Magnus brought him here due to the urgency of this meeting. It seemed Miss Selleton made this meeting only for the Primarchs, since I did not see other Selleton residents here. My mind immediately grew suspicious on the purpose of this meeting.
When I walked in Miss Georgia went to talk, only to stop her tracks to see Sanguinius, his wings neatly propped behind him, and she covered her mouth, at the sheer awe of an Angel in her midst. I turned to see her staring at his wings and Sanguinius had a slight curl of his lip, of discomfort. I just waved at Miss Selleton, trying to get her attention before…
"Miss Selleton, you wanted to talk about the Java Nook behind my back?" That snapped her out of her transfixed state of staring at Sanguinius' wings and give me an indignant look, as if caught in the act.
"I do not know why you are in this meeting, this is meant to be a closed meeting, and you were not needed." She said with annoyance, as Sanguinius sat down and Oliver moved to the front and sat casually.
"Well, You did mention the Java Nook, and it does make sense to bring the Business owner of that establishment." Magnus stated out loud and Miss Selleton sighed.
"So you summoned her with your… psyker magic?" She asked. It seemed from how she spoke she has done more research regarding the Primarchs. How she said psyker magic, she still baffled by how any of these Primarchs worked. She was still staring at Sanguinius' wings, as if she really wanted to address them, but not sure how to go through with it.
"The Java Nook is my business, so I am here. You can not dictate what I can do with my business without me, Miss Selleton. So what's good." I said, sitting at the front with Oliver. Sanguinius moved to Lion, Leman and Corvus, hearing the tension with me and Georgia. There was silence, and the only sound that can be heard, was Angron's soft but purposeful breathing. The Nails were slightly bothering him, but I did indeed hear the small chuckle from Angron's lips, hearing my challenge to Miss Selleton. She squinted her eyes.
"Fine." She cleared her throat, then swept her eyes at everyone in the meeting hall.
"If you all are going to reside in town, perhaps I can hire you all to assist me in a Project I hoped to accomplish. I think men like you all are more than capable. After my trip, I managed to gain the abilities to Improve Selleton, upgrade the Buildings, put it back on the map. Getting rid of things that lag it behind."
"While this is a well intended Endeavor, Miss Selleton," Rogal Dorn started, "The town itself has had a steady Upkeep due to the Revenue of the Diner, the Park campgrounds, the Bar, and the Java Nook. Along with the Revenue starting back up in the Theater and the Iron Will Workshop. While you are stable in that regard, improving the buildings, and creating revenue in once abandoned shops could regain recognition in the town.
"Yes, with the Java Nook creating the less Revenue, there are things that we can replace that are more important than that. Like the Horse Ranch and the Farm."
"Fine, Then turn the only place that holds resources into a city appointed building itself. Turn the Java Nook into a library itself for Selleton. Meet up with Faline to do such. A town with Resources and archives is a thriving one indeed." Magnus Spoke up and I covered my mouth. This is what Magnus wanted me to see. To see that Georgia is slowly trying to take away my life passion, my work, and the very reason I stayed in Selleton.
"Actually this is a Strategic idea." Fulgrim spoke up. "The Java Nook becomes the Library, it opens up the town to resources required, more Revenue, upkeep, and The Books are not deemed useless if we scrub the Nook entirely. Not to mention Faline will be paid by the City itself not by the consumers. Her Cafe can be considered a side job, which is not illegal in any way."
"The Java Nook becoming the Library is not the major priority." She said waving a Hand dismissively. "My focus is the reopening of the horse ranch, the Farms, and the Butcher. Then the Renovation of the Church and some of the major Sites, such as Selleton's Statue, the Diner, the theater and the workshops."
"Fine, we can open those establishments." Perturabo stated loudly, crossing his arms, Magnus lifted the tablet and it floated to Miss Selleton, making her jump at the psyker magic and she cautiously grabbed it. "Opening and adding a library is a project that will not hinder the projects you laid out. Faline simply can do all that on her own." Miss Selleton swiped on the Tablet, seeing all of Perturabo's designs of each of her planned renovations and buildings. She looked up as she put down the Tablet then looked back up her face soured. Perturabo's face looked at how she put the tablet down, as if she kicked his puppy.
"That is more paperwork and funding for Selleton that we do not have." Selleton spoke urgently. "I would rather spend my funds in creating more revenue and traffic before even mentioning anything related to a library." Georgia looked right at me, as I crossed my arms.
"Faline, since you have decided to crash the meeting, I can use your assistance into something more purposeful, if you want to accept."
"Sure, as if running a business in your town is not purposeful enough," I rolled my eyes with sass and Georgia curled her lip. I just crossed my legs, my eyes darting up and down Georgia's face,
"Perhaps Faline, since you are the cause of these men coming to our town. You know of a Primarch who can make this a lot easier? hm?" Miss Selleton focused on me and I looked up at her, and I glared suddenly.
"What in the hell is that supposed to mean? Why do you ask this of me. What have you done for me that warrants me helping you in this?"
"Oh, probably the fact I have been gracious enough to give you space in town for your business. Not to mention the fact you have been the common cause of all these super powerful and dangerous men to come and claim a space in this town. All of them have committed atrocities and I am shocked none of them have laid waste to this town with their strength and powers."
Oliver rolled his eyes, "Its almost as if they are men and not a bunch of toddlers, and can control their strength." Georgia snapped her gaze at Oliver now.
"Trust me, I am close to it." Perturabo Grumbled, and Georgia glared, only for Perturabo to glare back
"Anyway." She said, trying to ignore Oliver and Perturabo's snarky but true comments.
"You can just be in charge of bringing the last of the Primarchs to help with this project and I can possibly consider—"
"Okay, I will stop you right there, Miss Selleton" I stood up. "No. I am not going to be your Designated Primarch summoner, just so you can gain benefits of these men in your town. That is NOT how this works and not why I have them here. and I am not going to do anything for you, if you are going to be dangling anything like that just so I do what you want."
"I mean this." Selleton said, trying to de escalate the tension that she caused. "You have the means to bring these superhuman beings upon my town, all of them established themselves here surprisingly well, and even have been contributing to the town. Your ability to will them into being, surely you know at least one of them are expert Administrators, and I mean this one, the Primarch of the Ultramarines. Roboute Guilliman." She said, holding up a Printed image of Roboute himself and she smiled. I was not impressed. She intended to use me to gain the upper hand in Selleton. I felt the looks of the other Primarchs and it was not until Sanguinius finally spoke in curiosity.
"Miss Selleton, is it? I do not think Faline bringing us here is merely for solving Town problems. From what you have said, a lot of us have established a life here and have kept to ourselves."
"That was until One of your brother's decided to turn my town into a Battlefield and try to tear us apart in a rage that could not even be controlled by his brothers." Miss Selleton snapped. Angron growled like an irate Rottweiler.
"The keyword is try. If I remember right when you ran off after causing such a mess, we managed to placate Angron!" I called out.
"You were the one who read my novel. I did not ask to come here initially," Angron pointed out, causing Miss Selleton to scoff. Angron growled at the blatant dismissive tone, clearly not amused. I turned back, pointing at her, to make a point.
"Exactly, You meddled in things that was clearly not your business," I added, my hand regarding Angron as an example. "You stole his book and read it, when it was clearly marked not for anyone to read openly. All of that chaos was caused by you. And now what? Now you want to add them to your business by treating these men as your working monkeys?"
Selleton glared. "That is NOT what is happening here, Faline, and I suggest you do NOT twist my motives for MY town. If these Primarchs are willing to live in Selleton, they can help with projects that have been left behind due to the death of my husband."
"Then work with who you have now!" I regarded my hand to the rest of the Primarchs. "Do not fall to me for bringing more in just because you are too dumb to accrue numbers!" I finally yelled, and Jaghatai coughed in his fist at my insult. He caught Miss Selleton's look and he grinned looking away. Miss Selleton slammed her hands down on the podium and she pointed at me.
"I Let you have the Nook out of the kindness of my husband's heart, much to my disapproval. I kept your little business in my town due to the memory of Winchester. You will stop your little tantrums, Faline, or else I will ignore my Husband's kindness and perhaps make sure you never run a little coffee book business again. And none of your members of your little reverse harem you have forming will save you."
I dropped my jaw at the sheer audacity of her statement. Her face was smug, thinking she has won. I saw looks of sheer disgust from the Primarchs, Rogal and Fulgrim looking at each other, as if they were holding back. It was Oliver's turn to drop his jaw and rise up indignantly about to cuss her out.
"Oh you did NOT just call my sister a—" But before he finished his sentence, He heard the sound of the chairs scooting back, and I turned to see every single Primarch rise from their seats. Fulgrim and Dorn, even as Council members of the Town, Rose from their seats, and then Starting with Lion, they all walked out of the Meeting hall. Miss Selleton drew back, realizing her mistake, called out to each of them
"Wait wait, I did not… That was not meant for—" She called out and Rogal turned to her shaking his head, raising his hand to silence her.
"That was uncalled for, Miss Selleton." He chastised. "She has done more for us than you think and if you assumed any of us despite our differences and conflicts are going to let you insult her, denigrating any of us in such a callous way, You are wrong." he stepped down and he walked out with his brothers. Oliver was the last one to walk out and I stopped in the center of each of them, my head pounding from the sheer stress of it all. Oliver joined the group and he spoke up.
"That was honestly so bad ass. putting her in her place like that.
"She is in no place to insult what Faline has become to us," Lion said directly. "I care not if she is the mayor of this town."
"Then make your own town, duh, We do not need her!" Oliver waved. Some of them actually went to agree, Ferrus, Sanguinius and even Perturabo, but I shook my head.
"No." I spoke up. "I stayed here in honor of Winchester Selleton, and with how much all of you have made the effort to be here, I cannot do that to you." I said. "Sure there is so much I still need to help you all with, but the mere fact starting new, it just won't be right. I am staying here not because of a promise I made to the man I thought of as a father, but also You all. please. You have all endured wars worse than an old bitter woman on a grieving power trip. Can you all hold fast for me?"
"I will." Konrad lazily rose his hand. "Merely because Miss Selleton's demise is soon. I can't wait to watch her lose her final breath." Lion glared at the Night Haunter and he pointed a finger at him.
"You will not lay a finger on that woman! We have been through this!" Konrad rose his hands in mock surrender and wheezed, which sounded more like Laughter than coughing.
"I never said I was going to lay any hand on her, Brother." Konrad said sneering the last word, as if taunting him now, moving to Lion. "I already told you how she will die. I have no part of it." Sanguinius frowned deeply at his brother's mention of Miss Selleton's Death and he turned away, slightly, his eyes up on a faraway stare only to blink then look at Konrad. I just sighed.
"We have already been through this, Konrad." I said, "There is no possible way her death can happen." Konrad turned away from me, and I groaned Sanguinius now stopping him from walking off.
"Konrad, surely you do not want that to happen think of—" Konrad darted his glance at Sanguinius and he moved over to him and shushed him.
"Things will turn out better, brother. You know this." was all I heard when they both walked off. I was just looking at this entire conversation, blinking in pure confusion as their speech was switched to a brand new language. This had to be either low or high Gothic, but I could not make sense of ANY of the words they spoke. It seemed the argument was getting a little heated, and I looked at Oliver who was just as confused. When we heard Wing beats, Sanguinius and Konrad moved to the other side of the park now talking, to leave the others alone, and I cleared my throat.
"Anyway." I looked back at the Rest of them "Um. I think I want to continue the process of turning the Nook into a Library. Magnus we can leave a petition on the Nook counter for those who want to sign the petition," I finally said.
The Nook was closed for the night, and Magnus was about to leave the nook when I called out for him. I have been nervous to ask him of my problems with my dreams. Perhaps he can help me though. I can tell he knew what I was going to say, so he crossed his arms, a blank expression on his face. I sighed then spoke up to him, finally telling him.
"I have been dreaming of the Emperor and Malcador." His eye was cast down away from me, and his arms relaxed slightly as he walked over to the library part of my Nook. I thought repeating myself would work but it seemed he was still thinking of that.
"That's nice." He said with a curled lip, an expression on his face showing displeasure instead of any excitement.
"You are still bitter about the Emperor." I said not as a question, but as a statement. Magnus looked right at me.
"You do not need mind reading abilities to know my feelings toward Father, Faline. That is exactly it. I have had a great time without having to worry about him addressing his presence upon this town."
"You used to be Good and close though. I thought telling you, you can help me with this and see if I can talk to him"
"Yes. The Key phrase in that sentence, is used to. Faline." Magnus said, his fingers close to each other as if plucking those two words out of my sentence and showing them to me. "I tried to warn him about Horus, I have done everything in my power to remain loyal and tell him of the impending doom that has come with Horus becoming the Champion of Chaos. And What did he do to me? He Sent Leman and his pack of rabid hounds upon me. Burned my home, destroyed it while all I can do is watch. Watch until Leman broke me into pieces."
I remembered that memory, the recollection he had me watch in the dream we shared and I frowned, looking away.
"Horus was the one who told Leman to kill you right? The Emperor merely wanted to bring you into Custody."
"I knew that." He said.
"Then?"
"He Still Sicced Leman on me. Do you know Leman's purpose in the Imperium? He is the Executioner. He is the very Primarch that handles the destruction anything that the Emperor wants scrubbed from the records, the very Legion that deletes anything undesireable from archives. He set the Space wolf upon me, that was the message! Why do you think I did not take the Emperor's half hearted apologies? He was not sorry."
"The Emperor did not—"
"Do not Defend the Emperor of his betrayal in front of me!" He declared, his voice taking in multiple voices and the cafe shaking from the sheer power of his psyker energy. I moved back, my heart pounding just from the recollection of what we went through in that dream. I swallowed and then I looked up at him, his hair was slightly raised, and his eye was glowing slightly in irritation.
"Magnus" I started, trying to placate this situation. My Hand rose "We have worked together in my nook for the time you have been here," I said calmly, Magnus' hair slowly lowering back down upon his shoulders. "we can say we are close to friends, maybe best friends." Magnus' eyebrow shot up at that, making me slightly hesitate. Was it something I said that was untrue about that? "I am just going to say it how it is, Magnus, please."
"Then say it, Faline. I am sure you have a great opinion of me." I could tell it was sarcasm, and I knew he did not even bother with speaking those words, since his voice was now around my head, much like when he telepathically spoke to me. I looked at him, then I took a single step to him.
"Magnus, you are a talented psyker and perhaps one of the most powerful men I have seen. but you are arrogant, reckless, and have been called out on that bullshit by multiple brothers! You think you know everything, you gave up your eye to something you did not know the complexity. At least when I know something I make sure I research everything before I lecture it. You were immature on your journey to abilities and that helped lead to the Burning of Prospero. You are the Very personification of Icarus and his wings. You flew too close, and got burned." Magnus was still, something that made me slightly worried, his eye closed, then he turned away, looking away from me and he let out an exasperated sigh.
"Why won't you let me heal your wrist?" He knew the answer, I can tell from his tone. It was a tone that wanted to hear the answer not from the mind but from my own lips. I gently touched my casted wrist, and closed my eyes.
"I…" I stammered, trying to keep myself calm. "I am still nervous about the magic you have. I get scared of things I don't know, and while you are so familiar with Psyker magic, I am not. But Do you blame me, My first introduction to psykers I was in bed for one week and experiencing seizures. I am scared.."
That was all Magnus needed to hear. He turned fully, his back to me now.
"Magnus, please, I just—"
"I need space, to reflect." He declared and he disappeared from the Nook. I jumped, as the psychic energy just dissipated from the air. I Ran out of the cafe and then looked around. the Air was chill, as the weather as cooling since it as getting close to winter. I had no way of sensing Magnus or even finding him, so I looked ridiculous calling out…
"MAGNUS!" I let out a breath, the cold air making it visible as I ran down the street to the Iron Will Workshop. This was the only place I know to find Magnus, and I peeked in, only seeing Perturabo, a large lit cigar in hand, staring at an operating machine, with a judgemental glare at it. His button shirt was open, revealing the white tank, and his Cybernetic cables were loose, his face focused on the machine he was working on. I knocked gently at the glass, and before he took the cigar to his lips, he turned and looked right at me. He pressed a button, then the door opened automatically, I was slightly marveled at the efficiency of it. He stared as I walked in, the cigar resting between his lips.
"I heard you calling out to Magnus, what happened?" He spoke, his eyes back to the machine. I peeked to see it was a 3d Printer, and he was observing it, and how it printed the test Print, a Small boat.
"Magnus and I were talking about his arrogance to his magic. And, I made him mad. He left, I thought he was in the apartment."
Perturabo nodded, the printer making a soft noise, and Perturabo glared at the 3d Printer and groaned, turning his back away from it, mumbling about making a better one with better output. He leaned forward upon the desk, then there was silence, and then he turned back to me.
"He is in Egypt right now. He just told me." He stated, and I dropped my jaw.
"How is he—"
"He is a Psyker, Faline." He said gruffly, sitting upon the office chair, and then pulling out his designing kit, the pencils, the measuring tools, and then swiveled upon the chair, looking right at me, his cigar still in his lips.
"Magnus has traveled across the corners of the Earth when he wishes and has been since he arrived." He spoke, the cigar now in the ash tray, propped nicely as it just continued to let out a small stream of smoke.
"We have heard the notion that we are to be free to enjoy our new and second life, without the war. Magnus took that literally and decided to travel to anywhere he pleases. Around this world, bringing back knowledge, schematics, new tidbits of trivia from his endeavors.
"And you?"
He casually pointed to his shelf full of books and sketch pieces, all filled with either his own designs or designs he has saved for himself.
"I have Indulged." is all he said, while he was still working on his 3d printer design. "What did you say to Magnus to cause his impromptu travel?"
"I told him he was too arrogant and it was the cause of his downfall and betrayal to the imperium." He stopped and looked over at me, sizing me up and then looked away shaking his head and sighing.
"So you told him something he already knows." I slumped my shoulders at his comment, exasperated.
"He already knows it, yet he still acts like this. you would think with us being some form of friends or something he would fully reflect on the actions he has done and.. I dont know."
"Being a Friend is not going to be the main contributing factor to fully rewire Magnus the Red on what he has been since he has been created." He countered. "That is not how Magnus Works. He is a powerful psyker, and He will not put himself down from that pedestal, humble himself and actually think of the underlying causes and the effects that followed. You do not know Magnus as much as you think."
"There was a time where he hoped to advance humanity to excellence. just like all of you. All of you, wanted to spread the Imperial Truth with your father." I said, my hand on his shoulder, and Perturabo sighed his eyes closing, as if it were a sore spot, but instead of moving away from my touch he took my hand,
"That was before. Not anymore." He said, swiveling again to face me, still holding my hand. "You do not have that Form of Magnus anyway. When the Space Wolf Primarch tore him to pieces, his personality shattered with it. You have the form of Magnus that is stuck in tragedy, Grief, reliving every single memory of our actions. This form is going to remain in that tragic state, and he will forever keep the notion, that he did nothing wrong."
"Every Magnus feels like he did nothing wrong." I said. "He yelled at me for trying to tell him the Emperor just wanted to bring him to Terra, not kill him.."
"I am well aware of the burning of Prospero. Magnus and I spoke on it during times of rest. but this Tragic form does not want to hear any reasoning."
"That isn't how you work with your pain, Perturabo." He kept his gaze at me and his face slightly hardened
"It is what we are designed to do. we are Warlords, not men, tools, Primarchs." he let go of my hand now and turned again to his work on the desk,
"That is not how you work on your pain, Perturabo." I repeated, and he kept his drawing. "This form of Magnus can not be stuck in his memories and wish it can be different. If he is in a constant state of grief, He has to be able to face it,"
"Tell him that. Not me." he spoke directly. Despite his hardened look, he could not work on his design right now, he seemed distracted, lost in thought. I thought that would never come from the Iron warriors Primarch. He switched on a radio, and it started to play some music. I recognized the song to be "Time in a bottle" by Jim Croce and he lowered the volume.
"Something tells me you needed to hear that too." I said, softer this time. he did not answer, his hand to his head, as I moved closer, and he groaned, feeling his hand move to my waist and then pull me close.
"Stop trying to read me, Faline. I never said anything of the sort." He said, but he made no move to push me away.
"You don't say anything, Perturabo. You show it with your actions, hoping someone notices. I notice it." I said to him, sitting down across his lap and his face flushed red at my action looking away.
"Actions speak louder than words." He muttered, staying still in his chair, and holding me. My legs draped on the side. He lowered his head, I can feel the beginning of his Cybernetic Cables on the top of my curls. The song continued on, as he just closed his eyes.
"Bo?" I asked him softly, and he hummed, acknowledging me for a moment. "Can you look at something for me, pretty please." He stopped the embrace and then I pulled out the very paper Magnus liked to put in my jeans every single day. It seemed every time I went into my pockets my Crude drawing of the Upgraded nook was there. Like a Reminder of what I wanted to do, a recollection of my goals. He unfolded the paper looking at my mediocre design of the Nook. He was silent, looking at my crude drawing. I was slightly embarrassed with him looking at it, but I pointed
"It is a dead Project. The library I wanted to upgrade from the Nook, the cafe I wanted to keep in there. I do not have the money or the resources for it." Perturabo turned the page of his design only to reveal a blank paper and while I was still in his arms, he started on it. Every stroke, light or heavy with the pencil, I watched him do it in real time, watching him factor in calculations and measurements. THIS was Perturabo. An Architect that just focused on buildings that he can visualize or reference. The Very action mesmerized me, as he then looked back at me, him stopping his drawing for the moment.
"You have had this design this whole time and did not want to bring it to me, why?" Perturabo asked.
"I was afraid to ask, I did not want to bother you with it. I knew you were busy and I did not want to pile anything on you."
"Get out of that mindset. This is nothing compared to what I have done in the past. If you want my honest opinion, I would rather do any of this, than deal with what I have done and what I had to endure."
I stared at him, he was able to enjoy his time alone, designing, fixing, repairing, anything, and he himself was keeping his mind away from the very life I took him from when I read his book. His Past self never would have a woman in his lap while he was designing something as simple as a library. Instead his mind would be utilized for War, siege, destruction. He is calmer when only fixing machines, making new ones, grumbling about dumb 3d Printers. It as as if he was telling me this by designing my library.
"I do wish to say. it is more than what I envisioned, Perturabo." He stopped momentarily, and his head rested on mine, his hand now moving again.
"I know."
"You do know this is your true purpose, Bo?"
"Purpose…a purpose overlooked because as soon as someone has seen the genius, the hands that can create, created a sword, and that was the box I was thrown in." He said. I recalled reading of Dammekos mentioning his choice to make a sword. From his early life he was paraded around, his genius, strength, and his computer like mind only used for conquest, war and power. I can see the hatred. I saw the way he shunned any form of affection. So this new part of him, the one that hugged me, that allowed my touch, that let me sit on his lap as he drew my library, this was new to him.
"Calliphone saw this side of you."
He scoffed looking away. "She also could read me better than anyone else on that planet. I never admitted this to anyone, but, I think she was right. Tasks and assignments that caused multiple casualties, the hardest, most grueling route, hoping to be noticed of my efforts. Only to be overlooked."
"You took a lot of time reflecting didn't you." He shook his head.
"Perhaps the Armor of Contempt is no longer needed here." He said, looking down at the paper, staring at the half finished design of my library. We were silent, and I finally took the initiative. I took my hand and placed it on his face and he looked at me, still stoic, still grumpy, but his eyes finally softened.
"This side of you is beautiful. And if you keep showing it, maybe the others will see the Architect that always wanted that recognition."
He was Silent staring at me still, as if trying to find some form of deception, his face flushed slightly red, and he glanced back down at the Library design.
"It was the right decision to show you. Perhaps the first time I gave you something of my work, you would see."
"Is that why you gave me Tippy the pig 2.0?" He looked back at me, his face roughened at the name. I slightly smiled, he scoffed.
"You named my upgrade on your tip jar Tippy the Pig 2.0?" He grumbled and I laughed in return. Something about Perturabo saying the words Tippy the Pig 2.0 just amused me. I can tell he was not, just by pinching the bridge of his nose. "You need to work on your naming, Faline." I gasped now, my own hand on my chest, offended at that.
"Says the man who named himself Perturabo." I sassed, giving him a comeback that i knew would grind his gears. He glared at me again, despite the closeness we were sharing.
"That was my name," He said. "No one can sway me from it" I finally stopped my laugh and then nodded, sighing from the slight levity. There was silence again, and his eyes fell to me again. He was not smiling, just looking into my eyes. I touched his face again, then his arms pulled closer to me.
"Why do you want this, Faline? Why are you like this with me?" he asked, as if he was still trying to find the answer. Or maybe he just wanted to hear the answer come from my lips. I will oblige for him. He is not used to this affection, I can tell by his inexperienced way he was holding me.
"Because I want to. Because I see you." I said to him. Perturabo stilled in my arms. I smiled, and he stared at me again, his face flushing red from the embarrassment of it all. There was something human in Perturabo that made it adorable when he blushed, he was shy, and i understood. He never experienced affection like this, and I was giving it to him freely. I was more than willing to guide him if needed. He was a smart man, so he learned quickly. My hand still on his cheek, I leaned in, meeting him halfway, and he took that as a cue. He leaned in and then met his lips with mine, kissing him gently, his face still red from the affection.
"A Poor excuse, I believe." he said, resting his forehead on mine, his eyes still showing restraint.
"No it isn't. It's the truth, but if I find a better answer that you think will be better than what I gave you. I will tell you." I whispered, He sighed, then leaned me upward, my head now on his chest. I can hear both of his hearts pumping wildly. He was not used to the closeness but I can tell he was enjoying it. His face may not show it, His actions were showing his gratitude. He began to draw again, and I was content in his arms, my eyes closed, and all I can hear is the sound of the radio, playing some random song, and the scratches of his pencil sketching what I envisioned my Library to be. I did not know, I ended up falling asleep in his arms, and he did not dare disturb me, he just worked, and I was where I wanted to be at that moment. It was not until I felt him gently rouse me from my sleep and I woke up, my eyes heavy still as I felt him get up.
"Come, Let's get you home so you can sleep." I nodded, and I closed my eyes again, the cold air blocked by a blanket, as he carried me home, All I remember was the sound of the door closed and Oliver saying "aw, how cute" then Perturabo grumbling to himself. Meanwhile, I was now back to a heavy slumber.
From Darkness back to golden elegance I returned to the Imperial Palace. At this Point, it was time for me to get the answers I need. No more going slow. No more stepping with the Custodes. As soon as I was able to move in my dream, I jumped out of the chaise and ran down the halls. Something was strange, however. The usual Custodes patrolling was not there. I did not stop to look, though. All I had to do was reach the hall and see the Emperor and Malcador.
Suddenly, like a flash of lightning and heavy weight, a felt a hand grab me, and slam me on the ground, making me scream. I was pinned with a single hand by the Custodes, his spear to my neck, I shrieked, my legs flailing until the sound of a voice made the Custodes look up. I turned my head, to see the look of the Emperor, his dark brown hair neatly pulled back, his laurel crown resting upon his head, and in his famous golden armor he stood a terrifying and impressive height. He looked to be close to 12 feet! I knew he had to scale the Primarchs in Selleton, but if the Primarchs were this size as well, things would be so different. They were giants. I dropped my jaw as I was picked up and placed on my feet, my eyes still marveling at the majesty that was The Emperor. He did not seem to mind my staring as he was looking at his Custodes.
"Unhand her. She is no threat." The Deep voice echoed across the hall. Without any objection the Custodian just removed his hand from my clothing, I was still frozen like a deer in headlights, my jaw practically on the floor, as I was still staring at the Emperor. His eyes finally fell to me, and my eyes just widened. the power of him, the strength. he was emanating it, passively. I continued to just be stunned by the sheer intensity. Finally I managed to muster words, trying to formulate them in front of the Master of Mankind, and all I could say was this.
"Blah.."
He did not react, only turned and motioned me to follow. My Legs worked, thank goodness. So I stepped with him, his strides longer than mine as I kept in pace with him. He broke the silence, as he continued to walk down the hall.
"You must have stubborn determination if you keep returning to this dimension, Faline." He spoke, his voice echoing across the halls of the Imperial Sanctum. "Your articulation however leaves much to be desired. You have a lot to say but when you are in my presence, it is similar to a blank chalkboard."
I finally managed to stop thinking of the word blah, now finally able to speak before him as something seemed to lessen around him. he seemed aware of his influence on me, and I sighed, trying to regain my composure, not look like an absolute idiot in front of the Emperor.
"You are elusive as a Unicorn!" I said and I heard the small chuckle escape from his lips. He was amused by the first words I said to him in his glorious form. This made no sense. He was in a Surgeon form and I did not fumble myself like this to him. "Sorry. Anyway. I have so many questions that I want, no need to be answered. You know this was inevitable when we met in the Hospital, that is another question." He stopped, keeping his gaze away from me.
"You are able to lay out every question, every grievance, and statement with limits." He ordered and I opened my mouth, then shut it. He was able to let me lay out Everything bothering me? I knew he heard my thoughts, as my face showed acceptance to this challenge.
Bet, is what I thought before the words fell through like a waterfall.
"Why did you donate the books to me? What is the true reasoning with this project? Why did you make the Books able to be read by anyone if the Primarchs came out? How did you get the world to normalize Wings on Sanguinius? Why am I unable to have abilities? Did you save me from Konrad Curze? Why did you remove Angron's Nails so easily when you could have done it the first time? And most Importantly, Why am I the one to deal with the Traumas and insecurities of YOUR sons when they are YOUR sons to begin with?"
The last one caused him to turn his head. He can sense my anger in that one. I faltered slightly, then he spoke. "Alright, that is enough, Little Faline. I will—"
"No no no, I am not done." He looked back at me, getting more haughty now. "You claim you wanted Warlords and Men to lead your legions, only for you to cause such little interaction, and cause the greatest damage to all of them, causing half of them to go traitor. And so what, you wanna dump them on me, as if I have all the answers to their complex questions?"
"Are you saying I was wrong to choose you in their new journey?" He spoke now directly and I glared.
"I am Saying, this is typical Deadbeat Dad Behavior! You were part of the cause of the Horus Heresy and you just decided to dump them on me?! I have had my own deadbeat dad, but at least he didn't fuck me and my brother up more than you did your sons! I am saying, I have dealt with Assholes like you and You are all the same!"
In an instant, I felt my body gain pressure my legs buckling then falling to my knees, my eyes closed and i can only feel the floor beneath me, cold and solid. I gasped out, trying to get back up, but it felt like I was in a Hydraulic press, feeling like I could be squeezed any time soon. The Emperor turned calmly, but his eyes were a cloudy red, looking down at me, silently fuming.
"I gave you a chance to speak your peace, but instead you chose war. You do not want to declare war upon me, girl." He spoke, the pressure immense, as I cried out, still on the ground, unable to move. "I have been generous to help Angron's nail removal, I have saved you from the Eighth's attack, kept you shielded from the Aura of my sons, made sure the world does not fall into terror at the Presence of my Primarchs, and this is how you act, biting the very hand that gives you mercy."
"I am sorry.. I am sorry.. please.." I cried now, gasping for air, trying to look up, but the pressure was too much. I can feel my nose bleeding from such power. "I am sorry!" I shouted, and he squinted his eyes, as he kept his pressure on me.
"I will admit your rage is well intended. You have forged bonds with the Primarchs, and you are angry for them, but it was needlessly thrown back at someone who can erase you with the snap of fingers. Impulsive. Direct. I am usually not a Man who gives second chances, but Remember this lesson. Do not repeat your recklessness." The pressure was lessened.I breathed out, and coughed, my hand planted firmly upon the floor as I struggled to get up, and finally I was only able to get on my knees, still exhausted from the demonstration of his power. Tears streaked my eyes, as I just finally realized the entire situation. I was an Ant compared to him, I was nothing compared to him. It was an experience I never wished to go through again.
"The Deer is a symbol of renewal and a new life." He began as if beginning a lecture and none of what transpired happened. He turned away, and I looked up, still on my knees as he continued. "A guidance of tranquility and opportunities never given. If their symbol of renewal is tarnished by raw human rage, then what will this send. I gave you those books to give my sons a new perspective on their selves. I chose you for this. Yet your horns dare attempt to Gore blindly due to events you can not change, and actions already done that you can not control."
"If they are with me in Selleton, technically the events have not happened. You transported them to a distant past After all of the major events of the Horus Heresy, and are having them live a life without any form of guidance or any form of resolution to their trauma.
"There IS guidance. You. You are the common factor in this entire Project, yet I have only seen your fear, your hesitation, your fury."
"I am trying, I am still one woman, Emperor. I am still just one powerless useless human that is amongst leviathans of power, rage, grief." I lowered my head. "Not to Mention, none of them wish to talk to each other, hardly any of them want to unite again and finally settle their grievances. You have seen it."
"They need you. And you need them." The Emperor finally stopped his cryptic answers as I sat there more Confused.
"I feel so alone in this." I said.
"You have 4 of my sons left to come to this world."
"5 if you want me to include Horus." I asked him. His stoic face soured at that.
"Do not mention Horus, he will not be a part of this." Despite his authoritative and booming voice I can hear the hurt. Hear the lingering pain. I frowned seeing that pain, but he masked it quickly seeing how I was close to empathizing with him. He seemed to be silently calculating and he turned to see out in the halls, Malcador the Sigillite. I turned to see him as well. they had a nonverbal conversation and I was sitting there in the silence and it was not until I went to get up, and The Emperor looked back at me, ready to make a decree to me. everything was brightening. This was a sign I was now awakening soon.
"I will freely bring down a Primarch to aid you in your trepidation. This Primarch will be one who will move things forward and help you find your true abilities when it comes to my Sons. Be on the Lookout. And be Ready."
"Wait, which one. You have to tell me, please." He did not, the brightness was now blinding me, and I turned to see Malcador moving closer and the Emperor watched as the white light replaced everything.
"Wait!" I called out, and all I heard was the emperor's voice in my head. His Telepathy was smoother, less forceful, as if his hands were gently caressing my brain and knowing the right spots. It was a stark difference to Magnus telepathically speaking to me. calmer, softer, like something wrapping my brain in velvet, how are Telepathic bonds so different from each other?
"Return to Selleton. Forge your bond with my sons, continue your influence on them. Your brother is worthy enough to assist. When you dream of this palace again, I will Speak to you. Hopefully without the horns again"
"Faline… Faline!" I heard Oliver's voice echo as I opened my eyes, and Oliver had a look of relief, as he put down gauze upon my table. I looked to see my waste basket filled with blood and I panicked. looking at him.
"What happened?" I said, only to move my hand to my face, to find dried blood upon my face. I went to speak only to see Oliver look at me with concern.
"I heard you tossing and turning, and then I turned on the light only to find your nose bleeding immensely and seizing upon the bed. You are So lucky I was here, and had to keep you from choking in your sleep." He said, handing me a large cup of cold water and I took it drinking from it. I felt so weak. I went to get up, not realizing my broken wrist did not ring out in pain. I sat back down, only to look at my wrist cast and I held it out.
"Can you cut it? I don't feel any pain from it." Oliver nodded and quickly unraveled it, when it was finally free. I moved my wrist freely. The Emperor fixed it. He healed me, I looked down. I remembered the hurt Magnus had on his face to show he wanted to help me, to aid me with his magic. The Emperor was the one to heal my wrist.
"I did not want him to heal my wrist." I said to myself, only for Oliver to take it, and squeeze gently checking if there was any bruising and lasting pain. I shook my head telling him there was none, and I sighed.
"I finally talked to the Emperor. It did not go so well." I said with a weak voice, as Oliver walked to the bathroom holding a bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide and then some clean gauze.
"What did you say." he said, wiping the blood from my face, and i stopped him and then did it on my own. He shrugged as he prepared the gauze.
"I called him a Deadbeat and an asshole." He froze, most of it with shock and he dropped his jaw.
"Faline Tanya Cross!" He yelled indignantly. I dropped my jaw at him calling me by my full name and I hit him
"Oliver Cornelius Cross!" and He gasped, offended as he hit me back. "OW! I am sensitive!"
"You Are lucky you are just sensitive after pulling that. Do you KNOW how powerful the Emperor is? Do you know his list of powers?" I rolled my eyes as I got up.
"The Answer is yes.. His list of powers is yes." I said, opening my drawers for some clean clothes. Oliver turned around looking at me through the mirror.
"EXACTLY! That bitch is Powerful beyond reason, and you called him an Asshole?! He could have snapped your dumb ass out of existence, then what." I groaned, looking up as I grabbed a new shirt and then slammed the drawer shut.
"I know! I know! I just was so angry. you know how much I hate people not getting to the point. It is annoying!" I said, as Oliver groaned. I looked in the mirror, seeing the dried and caked blood on my face and shirt, and I just frowned. Another Psyker causing me seizures and suffering. I sighed. It was then I heard the sound of loud banging on my door and I jumped at the forcefulness, practically almost knocked it down.
"Damn, who is that?" Oliver said as he got up, and Angron's voice was heard outside the door.
"Oliver? Let me in. The nails, they are annoying me!" He growled out, and Oliver sighed,
"Duty calls, come in, bestie, sit down on the couch and I'll get you." He walked out of the room, and I followed, watching as Oliver regarded Angron to my couch and he went to the other side of the living room to grab his medical Supplies. Angron was breathing heavily, his teeth gritted as he was squeezing his palms, his leg tapping the ground.
"Hello, Angron." He grunted and he looked at me, noticing the blood on my face and lips, and he sniffed the air.
"You look like you were punched in the face. Who did this to you?" He said and I sighed.
"I didn't get into a fight. I dreamt of the Emperor and it resulted in a nosebleed and a seizure." Angron's eye twitched as he snarled again, the leftover nails now getting slightly unbearable.
"I'm coming, Angron, I'm coming, here you go." Oliver said, moving on the couch and then swiftly removed the bandages, the nails buried in a nest of red hair. I frowned as Oliver was quickly tending to Angron's lasting pain.
"I am sorry that you still aren't fully freed from the nails, Angron. I tried the best I could." I said, somehow feeling guilty to see him like this. He opened his eyes, as Oliver continued to work on him.
"Faline, Think of it this way." He gritted his teeth in between words. "The flare ups are rare now, and the nails only get unbearable when I do not take care of them. I would rather take occasional flare ups, than constant agony." One sharp pain and he gripped Oliver's hip making him jump, squeezing gently for comfort. I handed Angron my deer plushie, and he squeezed, biting the head.
"Bestie, take me to dinner first before you grab me like that," Oliver joked, and Angron just huffed as Oliver gently placed an ice pack on his head. Angron just grumbled, leaning forward, and squeezing the plush as Oliver redressed his bandages. I grimaced at the poor thing being mauled by a Nail ridden Primarch.
"If you continue talking, Angron, it might distract you from the pain." Oliver said, still working as Angron looked over at me.
"What did you do to warrant seizures and nosebleeds?" He asked me continuing the conversation about the Dream of the Emperor. I sighed in defeat, knowing there is no getting out of this one.
"I called the Emperor an Asshole and a Deadbeat." I admitted, bowing my head slightly. Angron actually let out a laugh, one that actually got him distracted from the nails bite.
"I would pay to see that. Could not have said it better myself. After the so called choices that tyrant made for me, Those are tame compared to what I wished to call him." He jumped and growled out as Oliver accidentally touched a nail and Angron gave him a warning glare.
"DON'T" he snarled and Oliver rose his hands in surrender.
"Sorry, Angron." He said, but when he wrapped the last of the bandage on his head he got off the couch. "But No. Faline should not have called The Emperor asshole or a deadbeat. She is not a primarch." Oliver said and I scoffed now, hearing Oliver not taking my side in this.
"And why the hell not, You let Angron but not me?!" I said, and Oliver shrugged.
"Angron has a legitimate reason to call the Emperor names. Not to mention he has the constitution to handle what the Emperor gives him. You just got big mad and frustrated like you always do, and called him an asshole." Angron nodded smugly, like a brother who got away with being scolded and I slumped my shoulders.
"There is such thing as picking your battles, Faline." Angron said, leaning back now and holding his head. "I will go and do something to distract me from the nails, Thank you, Oliver." He said, now calmer, but I can still see the Nails irritating him.
"Take care of yourself, Angron. I do not want my Bestie going on another needless rampage. okay?" Angron nodded, raising his fist and Oliver raised his, bumping the Primarch's fist with his own, before leaving the Apartment. Oliver smiled, and then looked over at me. I remembered that the Emperor told me that Oliver was worthy of assisting, and I decided to let him know.
"The Emperor told me that he was aware of you helping, and he wants you to continue helping." Oliver gasped a little too excitedly and he beamed slightly.
"Oh my goodness, What else did he say about me? Is he watching me now?" He said, now posing dramatically, and making me laugh.
"No, He found out your middle name is Cornelius so, He is no longer interested." I teased and Oliver hit my shoulder making me laugh more.
"You suck" he scoffed as I walked back to my room to get ready for the day and to wash the blood off me.
"No you! Now leave me alone to get ready. I got a Nook to run."
Magnus took the day off, much to my expectancy, and honestly, I needed to work the Nook alone. It gave me and Magnus some needed space after our fight last night, and I needed to keep myself calm despite all of the stress that has come in waves. I watched the only customer who was reading a book casually while drinking a black coffee. We exchanged glances and he nodded as I gave him a hospitable smile, before Lion walked in. A Dark green compression shirt on him, fitted black jeans and some heavy boots thudded in the cafe as he walked to the counter.
"My usual, two Spiced chai, Dark roast coffee with milk, please." He stated to the point.
"Coming up, So, who are the other three drinks for?" I asked, placing down a drink carrying case and he just leaned on the counter.
"Sanguinius, Corvus and Leman. Frankly I am glad Leman is straying from alcohol this time, so I will give him the commendation for that." He stated bluntly, looking at the man reading across the room. I looked back at the man with Lion. The man was not anyone I knew, but he was a new customer. His beanie and glasses fit his head nicely, and his plaid outfit gave him warmth in this now cooling weather. Winter was coming soon and I usually loved to take out my scarves and my jackets.
"Okay, Echinacea for you, Chai for Sanguinius and Corvus, and Dark Roast coffee with milk for Leman. Oh, When you see Corvus can you tell him this is 'nummies for the Primarch tummies?' He will know what I mean okay?" I joked but Lion gave me his signature stoic look, raising an eyebrow, and I slumped my shoulders.
"I would rather dive my head in the Eye of terror before I say those words, Faline." I gasped, slightly hurt he wont do my favor.
"Oh come on, Please" He continued to stare at me. "It is a funny joke between us!" Lion turned to his carrying case, picking it up effortlessly.
"I have known you for how long, and you still have not acknowledged any of my jokes?" I said to him and he sighed outwardly.
"I have known you long enough to know you make jokes. just none of them are humorous." I gripped the top of my chest offended at his statement.
"Lion el'Jonson, you wound me so. My heart is broken. How will I cope, knowing you sting me with your stoic callousness." I said teasingly. I then noticed a small smirk poke from his lips as he gave me his payment then picked up the carrying case, the four cups in hand.
"I am sure you can manage just fine, little one." he said, then looked down at the four cups, before turning to the door.
"Fine, Leave me in my sorrows and Pity." I said teasingly and he nodded, silently walking out.
For some reason, I did not really acknowledge his smirk but that made me pause. Lion is a stoic man, a man that is direct, secretive, and given the time needed, he would drop what he was doing to help me. the incident with Angron was evidence in and of itself. while what I have with Perturabo was him indeed yearning for the affection he so needed and hoped for in his childhood, Lion's was easy and natural. I frowned, walking to the coffee pots to check on them, and deep in my thought I did not hear the bell ringing for another customer. I turned and I relaxed seeing it was Oliver. He sauntered in, obvious in a good mood, and it made me smile slight.
"hey, sis.." he said with his usually effeminate voice. I went to grab a cup, I already knew what he was going to ask. A Hazelnut roast latte, with four sugars, his favorite hot drink.
"You look a lot better than this morning." He said, pulling his wallet out of his bag and I just sighed.
"I'll Say. That nosebleed was work, along with the Emperor deciding to plant a random Primarch here without my knowledge or preparation, I can't even begin to read Roboute's book. Because what if that book is useless?" Oliver grinned at me, pursing his lips leaning on the counter.
"Well Whichever Primarch, I'll be fine either way. The emperor knew what he was doing in making handsome sons." he said waving girlishly. I shook my head.
"Of course you would. You have been eyeing every single one of them." I teased. "What will it be Oliver? Actually, I dont have to be told, I know what you like." I said as I went to get the Ingredients for his upcoming order.
"You know I am thinking of taking the last four books out my closet and then just put them upright on my bedside table. A sort of celebration for making it to the home stretch." I said. Oliver nodded his head, and the only customer adjusted his glasses and put his book away, and then he walked over placing some coins in Tippy the Pig 2.0 and thanked me for the service. I waved.
"Have a good day!" I said, then looked back at Oliver.
"Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream and Sprinkles for Angron and a Black coffee for me." Oliver said with a bounce to his step.
"Alright, one hot cocoa for Angron and one—" I stopped. The Black coffee really threw me off. Oliver hated black coffee. I turned around to my brother, or maybe that is not my brother, my face wiped from its smile to a full on cautious frown, as this maybe impostor was looking at me with Oliver's face, smiling and pursing his lips.
"Why are you staring at me?" Oliver asked and I frowned. He did the mannerisms of Oliver his face looked like my brother, but there was something in my heart, in my head that told me; this was not my brother.
"Where is my brother?" I then finally said it. Oliver frowned, his face went from girlish to stoic and serious. It was uncanny valley and it made my skin crawl.
"He is fine." The deep voice was something that made me shake. Hearing that voice coming from my brother, a man I have known for my whole life it felt so surreal.
"No Hard Feelings, Faline Cross, just something we were told to do." I sat there stunned, and what broke me out of my frozen state was that customer that came out not too long ago, running down the street. I went to go after, but the Oliver impostor bolted next, bursting through the door and joining the customer with him. I went after them, in a full on chase, until their disguise wore off, and i was looking at twin men, completely identical to each other, down to the teal shirts they wore. I knew exactly which Primarch or Primarchs The Emperor placed in Selleton, these two are the last on my mind and I did not expect them to be chosen by him.
"ALPHARIUS WAIT!!" I yelled, but they did not let up. I noticed, they winded down the Street, away from the other Primarchs. They were Leaving the town.
"Wait!" I yelled desperately, only for them to turn a corner, and into a dead end. They both ran, and when they turned the corner, I noticed in Omegon's arms, my box. The box filled with the last of the Primarch books. My heart Sank as I tried to catch up. When I turned in the alley, they were already gone and I stopped, my breathing labored, as my tears stung my cheeks. looking up at the roof, Alpharius' disguise now hanging on the ladder. I gave the roof a defeated look, as Sanguinius peeked in the alley and then moved to me urgently, his wings covering me.
"Faline, what happened." He said looking at me making sure I wasn't injured. I looked up at him, tears streaking my eyes as I pointed to the roof.
"Alpharius!" I called out, and he looked up, staring at where he was pointing.
I proceeded to throw this Chapter out because GAH! I am sorry! Things have been so beyond hectic. I am a Permanent WFH employee now, so I should be fine now, but GAH, plus my anxiety got to me,
I am currently working on 15 and I think that will be the chapter Before another Break. I need it..

“A-alright, dear… whatever you say… *guilty whining*”
🤫P.S. Actually, I tried to color it, but the sketchmarkers let me down, and Lehman's nose decided to float a little.🥲

Fulgrim
“An audience? How curious.”
Fulgrim is perhaps one of the prettiest things you have ever seen in your life. Deep purple tail, golden jewels and pearls all over him and a voice so beautiful it would put the most talented singers to shame. It makes you almost forget the sharp teeth and the fact that hearing him sing puts you in a trance like state. You almost feel out of your boat the first time you heard him and by the look on his face he knew exactly what he was doing.
Has little interest in devouring you and more in the finer things that are hard to come by in the wast ocean. He will gladly put on a performance for you in exchange for something valuable. A big fan of novels and will risk drying out, leaning on your boat just to enjoy another chapter. As soon as you enter the water he follows you around the reef, forcing your attention on him and making sure that you would come back again for more.
Don’t underestimate him because of his looks though. Fulgrim is not as frail as he seems at first glance and growing up in harsh conditions he learned how to survive end can kill as easily as he can captivate a crowd. His teeth and claws aren’t just for decoration.
Even his sons have the same mannerism and looks as him. Most of them don’t understand why he keeps you around but they know that if anything happens to you they will be in massive trouble.
Lion El‘ Jonson
“What is a human doing here?”
Lion caught you while he was patrolling the borders of his territory and while you were no threat to him he certainly wouldn’t let you go unchecked. His forest green tail is almost invisible in the kelp forest that he inhibits and usually everyone stays away from the treacherous currents that frequent that area. It takes some time to convince him that you were indeed just fishing for food and in a way he relented, still suspicious.
Every time you go to that spot Lion is already there as if anticipating your arrival, observing you. It’s hard to make conversation with someone as secretive as him but at least he’s good at getting your hook unstuck if you ask nicely. Swimming through the kelp forest with him is certainly an experience, having him pulling you along till you can look at the school of fish and all the small creatures that inhabit his home.
Lion has a habit of being fiercely over the things he likes and missing a day and not coming to your spot means you will get interrogated the next time where you have been and it’s almost as if he’s getting attached.
Legends say that the caves that Lion and his sons are guarding hold immeasurable treasures inside of them but those who ventured inside never lived to tell the tale. None of his sons confirm if it’s true or not so perhaps it will be a secret forever.
Perturabo
“Think better before you venture that far out on your inferior boat.”
The first time you saw him you got startled since the last thing you expected was a man with gills, trying to dislodge a piece of metal from the side of your boat and looked offended as you protested. Trying to hit him with a paddle resulted in him catching it and throwing you easily into the water. You could only watch as a huge dark silver tail disappeared into the depths of the open sea and you were left with a damaged boat.
Taking a piece of metal with you was perhaps the best decision since Perturabo lives in a treacherous area with a lot of sunken ships and yours could be next. He wants materials, trinkets that he can study and work with so as long as he gets what he wants he allows you to fish there.
It’s far fetched to say that he likes you but he listens with hidden curiosity when you talk about your home and gives you some reluctant advice on how to improve your boat so it doesn’t sink. Maybe someday he will show you some of his creations in exchange for a priceless relic or a waterproof book of course. Besides he sees it as a chance to replicate and understand some of the devices he had found in shipwrecks and you are going to help him if you want it or not.
His sons don’t even dare to approach you when he’s nearby. Perturabo had put some kind of claim over you and he has no trouble ending everyone who tries to take what’s his.
Rogal Dorn
“Excuse me. I see you have some scraps that you don’t use. I would like to have them.”
The flash of yellow surprised, considering that it’s hard to find something that colorful in the cold sea but you honestly didn’t expect a polite, straightforward merman asking for some fishing line. Too stunned you gave him the fishing line and in exchange he gave you a massive fish that fed you for two days. Your next meeting went also straightforward but this time you managed to ask him for his name: Rogal Dorn.
Rogal is up for a fair exchange of goods. He brings you fish that is hard to come by in icy climates, you bring him materials regularly and you manage to co-exist easily. You might be surprised how advanced his culture is in regard to building things. Every time when you meet him, he doesn’t forget to remind you to dress warmer as it would be unfortunate for you to fall sick. In a way that’s how he shows care and it’s quite sweet.
He remembers things pretty good and always inquires how your friends and family are doing or if you succeeded in a certain endeavor. While you don’t know where he even learned how to maintain a boat, he certainly helped you fix your on occasion and helped you make some improvements to make it less likely to sink and more efficient.
Now every time you set out into the waters there is at least one of his sons who accompanies you from a safe distance to not disturb your fishing but also to intervene if you would fall into the water.
Konrad Curze
“You pass my judgment. You won’t die tonight.”
Honestly Konrad looks terrifying with his black eyes, pale skin and too sharp teeth that could easily tear a chunk of flesh out of you. Luckily for you the creature with midnight scales that is looking at goes only after fishermen who committed atrocities and crimes, creeping up on them at dusk and tearing them apart. He had only approached you out of curiosity since no one dares to fish at night in that area, afraid of a bad omen.
During day time he lurks in the deep sea, where no light comes through since it’s too harsh on his eyes and you always need to dim your lights when he’s around. After he’s done with his nightly activities he often follows your boat around, sometimes pointing out things that you have missed. It’s strange to speak with someone who sees the future and the crimes of others but it seems your company is good for him.
Clearly he had not many interactions with humans since keeping one alive is harder than just killing them. Konrad tried to be gentle, not to scratch you or hurt you on accident. A few times he had given you some pretty shells and trinkets, waiting for some kind of response. When you gave him something in return he seemed to be in thought as if he didn’t expect you to pass some hidden judgment of his. At least you will live another day.
His favor doesn’t stop his bolder sons to nudge your boat to scare you for their entertainment. As long as you don’t fall into the water that is infested with those creatures you should be fine.
Sanguinius
“The rocks are quite sharp here. Please be careful.”
Unfortunately you had cut your leg while being in the water and were bleeding all over the place, trying to get back onto your boat. Something moved in the water and you before you knew it you were grabbed by cold hands, that gave you the extra push to get into your boat. You knew that the smell would no doubt attract creatures. You just didn’t expect to attract something as big as Sanguinius, with a tail as red as your blood.
He almost looked harmless, almost ethereal if it wasn’t for the fangs in his mouth, the red rim around his iris and the hungry look on his face at the sight of your blood. Thankfully he has a lot of self control and admits that he had been following you for a while, trying to get a glimpse at your locket and the small portrait inside of it. Most paintings he finds in wrecks are already rotten or damaged but yours is still whole.
Believe it or not it gets lonely being seen as only a pretty thing and he is glad that he had found someone who will indulge his interest without worshipping him. With others he’s a perfect son, with you he’s just Sanguinius. After you introduce him to the craft hours are spend practicing, painting everything from plants to fish to you on your boat. And when you need to return time the shore he looks longingly after you.
Most of his sons are as disciplined as him, never attacking humans and getting their fill of blood from other sources. Most if not for a small part of them, with an extraordinary bloodlust that you should be wary of.
Vulkan
“Please don’t be afraid. I won’t harm you.”
It was the end you thought when your foot got stuck between a few pieces of stone as you tried to resurface. Your lungs were burning as you tried to free it desperately until two hands gently dislodged it and pulled you back to the surface and the strange merman held you, asking you if you were alright and comforting your panicked tears before moving you to the shallow waters as far as he could go.
Despite his huge size, Vulkan is a calm giant that will gladly help you out if you are lost and protect you till you can dock somewhere. It’s surprising how you didn’t notice him at first even though he certainly stands out with his pitch black skin and dark green scales, covered in all kinds of fancy jewelry that glints in the sun. Don’t be fooled though, Vulkan is not docile and is capable to defend himself and the people he holds dear.
Vulkan will gladly trade with you with too! Anything from land in exchange for fish, pearls and sometimes even handcrafted trinkets from him. One of the best Primarchs to swim around with and he will gladly teach you how to dive so you can see all the beautiful reefs and fish. Evenings are often spent floating around togheter, him allowing you to sit on his tail and sharing fruit with each other while enjoying the sunset.
His sons are also pretty nice, most of them took after their father and are used to interact with humans and being around them, trading with them for materials and making long lasting friendships.
Corvus Corax
“The night is rather peaceful.“
You felt eyes on you every time you went out during the night. Something was lurking in the dark but it never attacked, never showed itself and you were convinced it was just your imagination when you once saw pitch black scales so close to your boat. At some point you started to throw small trinkets into the water as a small thank you for watching hing over you and you were surprised when something threw a pearl into your ship.
Corvus usually hides during day time in deep waters, coming to the surface at night to look at the stars and the moon while the world remains silent around him. He didn’t mean to befriend you but the peaceful air around you had drawn him in to observe you and after all those trinkets he felt like he needed to give something back. He approached your boat not long after and introduced himself, becoming your companion for many nights, humming melodies and leaning on your boat.
Although while Corvus doesn’t have a luster for blood, he’s not passive either. He’s aware of what can happen at sea and will intervene when he notices a crime being committed and bring the perpetrators to his own brutal justice. He was given claws and knife sharp teeth for a reason and he intends to use it for good.
You mistook several of his sons for him a few times since they all seemed to share his black tail. Usually they appear in the distance when he’s not around as if being send to check upon you.
Roboute Guilliman
“It would’ve been tragic to just let you die.”
It had been a bad idea going out when the wind was picking up and it threatened to rain. Certainly you regretted it when a wave knocked you into the water. The boat was drifting away from you and when you went under the waves again, you saw something approaching. It grabbed you and pulled you to the surface and held you against its chest, keeping your head above the water and you clung to it because your life depended on it.
Guilliman has a strong sense of justice and honor. Leaving you to drown when he can prevent it went against those principles and he had held you above the water all night till he could safely retrieve your boat and pull it back to the docks to the safety of your people. Weeks later you saw the same ultramarine tail in the water as he actually came back to check on your well being. It’s a good first step to build relations with humans too.
But Roboute isn’t only a politician. He enjoys learning about history, art and music because those things are the soul of the culture in his opinion. He gave you one of his golden bracelets and in exchange you gave him yours, symbolizing a connection between you two. He has a lot of responsibilities but when he can spare some time, he enjoys visiting you. Not as a regent, but as a friend.
His sons are as steadfast and just as notable as him. Sometimes a much smaller, older mermaid comes to visit with Roboute and you were kindly introduced to his mother figure Euten, who helped to raise him.
Ferrus Manus
“Need a hand?”
When your boat broke down in the middle of the ocean you knew you were screwed. Abandoning your sinking boat you tried to swim for the nearest shores but at some point your muscles were giving out and you thought you would be swallowed by the sea. You hardly hoped for help but it came anyway in the shape of a merman with a silver tail that had pulled you along to the shallows.
Ferrus lives in harsh conditions, diving deep and fighting massive squids for food where only the most adapted survive to see another day so it was no wonder that he had decided to save you when he saw your refusal to die. While there are certainly more friendly living conditions Ferrus refuses to abandon his roots and continues the tradition of descending into the treacherous depths to prove yourself. The countless of scars on his body certainly show that he had a lot of successful hunts.
Now since he has befriended you by saving your life he comes back up to the surface more often, one time even bringing you the beak of a giant squid as a gift for his long absence. In return you gave him a necklace with a shark tooth as a pendant, a reminiscence of your own successful catch.
Clearly Ferrus was seeing something in you even if his own sons saw you as weak. They don’t mingle with humans and honestly have very little to do with you besides a few individuals.
Leman Russ
“Don’t fall into the water. Wouldn’t want for you to freeze.”
There were legends that under all that ice lived a massive creature, ferocious as a wolf and as old as the glaciers themselves. You hardly paid them any mind until you went out, drifting besides the ice in the eerier stillness and a massive creature with a light blue tail rose from the depths and jumped over your little boat before disappearing into the cold water again. From then on you knew that the legends were more than true.
You quickly found out that Leman was a simple creature. Between hunting and patrolling his home he enjoyed the landscape and creatures that lived on the ice and led a content life with his sons. Most of the stories about him came from the time he defeated sea monsters and conquered the ice but just because he seemingly settled down doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be able to repeat all of his great feats.
Lemans culture is quite rich and has its own rituals and customs. All kind of skulls adore him, nearly frozen pelts and fine crafted weapons are always seen with him when he sits on the ice and a part of you starts to give him small offerings too. Give him some good alcohol and you two will be busy for the day, laughing together. He will make sure that his favorite human doesn’t freeze to death and will pull your boat to safety.
Surprisingly his sons were quite merry and generous creatures of you had their favor. They were more than willing to give you all the fish in the world for some booze that humans made.
Jaghatai Khan
“Of course I can swim faster than a boat. That’s what I’ve been training for.”
Upgrading your boat to a faster one certainly made transportation more easy. You swam out, the wind whipping around you as you enjoyed the weather on the open sea, but suddenly you saw something following you, picking up speed till it was swimming beside you. It was a pretty thing to see his golden tail with uneven red stripes reflect the waters when he raced past your boat in matter of seconds. How fast was that creature!?
Jaghatai lives for speed and racing against fish and boats is one of his favorite past times. Politely he thanked you for the race when he appeared beside your boat. There hadn’t been many fast boats in that area and he was surprised that he had met you. But guess people change after the last time he had passed there and he was more than glad to make your acquaintance. Maybe you should invest more in your boats engine.
There will be months where you simply won’t see him. He travels a lot around the world, visiting old friends and seeking new challenges . He will make sure to sometimes bring you presents and trinkets from all kinds of places and will gladly spend evenings telling you about his adventures. It’s fascinating and scary to imagine all the creatures that inhabit the oceans and the fact that he sometimes narrowly escapes with his life.
You kinda expected that his sons would also have his coloring and affinity for speed. In fact you have become one of their favorite obstacles to jump over and race against when they see you in the water.
Magnus
“Wait! Don’t go! I only want to ask some questions!”
You were battling with a fish when a giant red spot approached your boat and startled you let go of your rod. The red shape disappear and you hoped that whatever distracted the creature would be enough for you to escape. Before you knew it though a hand emerged from the water offering you your fishing rod and when you looked down, you were met with a kind smile from the creature named Magnus that looked rather excited.
If he could he would go and find all the records of the relics and treasures he finds himself but with no legs he has no access to the human world and its hard to find likeminded individuals who won’t flee at the first sight of him. It’s honestly disheartening but since you are still around he won’t be against working relationship where you help each other. He will even take you with him to do some treasure hunting together if you want!
Magnus is honestly ready to risk it all just to see the insides of your home and you have to dissuade him from crawling across the whole beach and risking to dry out. As a compromise you agreed to bring him anything you can to the beach. Books, paintings, toys, whatever he wants to study and his eyes always shine when he’s allowed to keep something. His beautiful collection is always growing!
He is nearly never alone, always followed by at least a few sons who share his thirst for knowledge and help him document things. Now you have to worry about multiple people crawling across the beach.
Mortarion
“I really don’t need to go anywhere else. I’m content being here.”
When you went out fishing you didn’t think you would find a seemingly abandoned island that was nowhere on the map. Going through the bushes you soon came to a fresh water spring, and you would’ve gladly went into the blue water, even if it was a tad bit murky if it weren’t for the pair of eyes that looked at you. You didn’t expect a merman with a pale green tail living on an island but there is always a first time for everything.
With his rather bleak world view Mortarion isn’t the most pleasant creature to be around and having been disappointed by humans he had found his own sanctuary through some underwater passages. But with a promise that you won’t tell anyone about this island he might just indulge you.
Sometimes you really wonder how Mortarion lives. Surely the ocean is far more interesting than an abandoned island and a murky spring that is over growing with algae. You had asked him about it one day but there wasn’t much of an answer. He had survived the occasional oil spill and radiation, he will be fine with a little bit of sediment. Besides there is a lot of life in those waters even if you can’t see it from the surface. In fact he’s willing to show you some of it if you come down into the water to swim with him. The fish are rather beautiful in those parts.
His sons clearly inherited his resilience. You jaw dropped when you saw how a few of them ate extremely poisonous fish like they were snack. Apparently those are a local delicacy for them.
Angron
“You should be careful when picking a fishing spot.”
The first time you met Angron, he nearly capsized your little boat. He’s aggressive, the sight of his scarlet tail a sign of trouble. Angron is no stranger to human cruelty and has no reason to show anyone mercy when he was given none. After your small brush with death you are certainly more careful when fishing there but still the prospect of food drives you back to the edges of his home and he observes you with a snarl.
It takes months for him to get used to your presence but since you were only taking what you need and were leaving him a share of your bounty at the old red buoy he at least tolerated you. Angron doesn’t trust humans and after killing his captors he wants nothing to do with them. Only after nearly a year of visiting he started to swim up to your boat, exchanging a few words and taking his share directly from your hands.
There is always an underlying danger when dealing with him and when you offered to remove some painful looking hooks from his tail you thought he would end you. Instead he reluctantly laid down on his back, allowing you to access it under the threat of death if you tried something. In the end maybe you weren’t as awful as he had initially thought and perhaps he would grow to enjoy your company.
After seeing their father not killing you on sight, his sons decided to leave you be at least for a while. Just don’t forget that their teeth can pierce more than just fish and that you have no way of out-swimming them.
Horus Lupercal
“Why the scared look? I haven’t even done anything yet.”
Upon your initial meeting you had mistaken him for a shark at first. You were diving for clams and mussels, picking them up from the sandy ground when a shadow passed over you. Catching a glimpse of white and gray you thought it was just another predator and decided it was time to go when you suddenly came face to face with a creature twice your size that was looking rather smug about catching you.
Horus is confident, charming and coming from an important line he’s s driven by conquest. But life gets a bit dull after conquering the whole sea and battling every sea monster. Luckily for him there is a human coming regularly to the same spot that can cure his boredom. He visits you a lot considering that you are the only human that returns, even if he tilts your boat, making you nearly fall and leaves scratches on it.
Despite what you might think Horus is very curious, wanting to know what lies beyond the sea. A few times he even swam up to the docks, waiting for you patiently to show him things from your home. He often leans against your boat, asks you to swim with him and to tell him more stories of your people while he closes his eyes and tries to imagine that life. On the other hand he tried to think of a way to make you see his world too.
Some of his sons are pretty levelheaded and reasonable which you hardly expected from someone having Horus genes. Others are exactly what you expected having Horus genes.
Lorgar Aurelian
“The stars shine in your favor today.”
When you entered the saltwater cave on your way home you certainly didn’t expect to stumble over a sacred place. The walls were covered in strange scriptures and in the clear water you saw what appeared to be a shrine. Diving down was a bad idea. You were almost certain you wouldn’t reach the surface again, if not for a merman with a golden tail, littered with a few silver scales that pulled you out onto a dry patch of rock.
Lorgar is an interesting creature to say the least. Worshiping his father like a god, building temples underwater and telling you all about fate when you nearly drowned in his home. It’s rare that humans come by his cave but as long as you don’t try to steal anything he extends his welcome to you. He will gladly teach you about his people if you are willing to give him a piece of your knowledge in return.
It becomes a small ritual to come and leave a small offering for a successful trip and strangely it works. The upper half of the cave becomes a bit more lived in after you bring some candles and an old rug to sit on with you and Lorgar is more than happy to find dry patches so that he may keep all the things you give him perfectly save. It would be a shame to let those beautiful books be destroyed by dropping them into water.
A part of you really doesn’t trust some of his sons. There is just something off about them but still most of them are nice enough to be around them. Just watch out for the two suspicious ones.
Alpharius/Omegon
“A human.” “We hadn’t have those in a while.”
It leaves you scared and confused seeing two identical specimens circling your boat but it’s also mesmerizing to see how synchronized they move, how their teal tails shimmer in the light and you almost let your guard down until one of them grabbed you and pulled you into the water. You thought it was the end but they disappeared and when you climbed back into the boat, the big fish that you have caught has been stolen.
Next time you can prepared and vigilant and ignored one of the twins, sitting on a cliff when he tried to talk to you. Alpharius and Omegon could be a threat to you if they wanted. Instead they decided to be a minor nuisance. It’s like a game to them, observing you, trying to sneak up on you or to snatch something. It’s never a lot to drive you away fully away and the fish in that area are quite nice.
Still sometimes they can be quite useful. They tell you where to get a bigger catch, some gossip that they heard from other ships or what spots to avoid unless you want to meet far worse predators that hide in the water’s below. Sometimes they invite you to swim with them but honestly you don’t trust them fully yet. Clearly they have some hidden agenda and you have yet to find out what it is.
You didn’t even know they had sons till you saw a third merman that looked identical to them. As if two of them weren’t enough there are apparently countless of them watching you from the cliffs.
Bonus!!!
Emperor of (Fish-) Mankind
“Don’t flee little one. You won’t be successful in that endeavor.”
The largest specimen you have ever seen with a golden tail and an otherworldly glow. You were awestruck when he swam under your boat and completely unprepared when he took an interest in you. But his blinding presence also makes danger less visible, making you almost forget that your boat ain’t going anywhere until he allows it. He would certainly not have any problem holding you in place or drag it down with him.
He doesn’t appear often but when he does it’s often with smaller golden warriors around him. He often asks you about what is happening on land and what events are transpiring. On the other hand he has a lot of stories to tell you as a being that is perhaps older than your whole bloodline and he always gets that fond smile when you are curious about him or the past.
His custodians as he had called his golden warriors are constantly watching you and every time you touch Big E they narrow their eyes. It makes you wonder what kind of protection someone like Big E needs.
Malcador
“There is a better spot a bit more down the stream.”
It surprised you to see an old man with a grayish tail approach your boat. As far as legends went they should be alluring, waiting to drown sailors but guess there is more variety to them than you thought. A being so ancient that lives close to the cliffs might be considered a prophet. You asked him a question, not thinking much of it till you received a genuine answer. Once you left your eyes off him though he disappeared into the water.
You’re never sure what his agenda is or why he helps you. He gives you advice, asks for little in return safe the occasional book. At first you thought he needed help in hunting but you quickly scraped that thought when you saw him outswim a ship. Whatever he needs or tries to achieve is clearly working since you can’t help but return to his usual spot and so far nothing bad has happened to you so might as well enjoy the fish.
Usually he’s meeting you alone although a few times you saw a suspiciously familiar pair of twins accompanying him and you could swear you saw him swimming besides a large golden specimen.

Mating with Merman! Primarchs (+ Big E and Malcador) | NSFW warning!
I’ve been possessed again so this is my contribution to mermay! Can be read as a stand alone but it will make more sense with Part 1
Tag List: @subtlepoisonknowledge @beckyninja @jackalwolfsoul @stpdeletacc @randomlyappearingartist @celestia042 @the-mysterious-detective @tomatojellyfish @catabibaz0n @aggresivemenace @ladycoraxofficial @yyourmotherr @warhorny-on-main (Everyone can be added, just ask in the comments!)
Fulgrim
When Fulgrim sings, angels weep with envy and reverence and he puts on a great performance just to seduce you. It’s like a sweet trance that falls upon you, makes you forget all the dangers that come from him and you step forward into his waiting arms. He worships you with his mouth, trailing down your body till you are reduced to nothing and then he slowly builds you up again with his cock stretching you, making sure that you sing so beautifully just for him. For a while it makes you forget that you had fallen to his mercy.
Lion El’ Jonson
Your coupling is secretive, hidden behind an overgrown patch of kelp forest where he knows no one ever swims. Lion would never admit of never having a mate before, much less a human one. Your anatomy confuses him and he doesn’t understand what you expect him to do until you take the initiative of guiding him inside of you. He’s in pure bliss thrusting into you, searching the right angles that make you clench around him, making him come way too fast. Panting and still hard he’s more than ready to learn some more from you.
Perturabo
When Perturabo tells you to come to him it’s almost like an order. Somehow he had managed to track you down from the open sea to the shores and you’re likable enough for him to consider you as a partner. He would not risk fucking you in the open since your weak body would probably swallow too much water. You doubt his ability to thrust into you at first but he pins you down in the sand, tearing at your clothes, his massive cock rests on your stomach, making your jaw drop. By the smirk on his face, he will make you swallow your words.
Rogal Dorn
Sex on ice is tricky and outright impossible in the cold water but life finds a way and when summer comes Dorn has already worked out the logistics of mating with you. The pebbles of the stony beach dig into his back, the cool winds whip around you but it only adds to the sensation of you riding him, meeting his small thrusts halfway and allowing him to nibble on you. You notice the way he enjoys the sting and bite him, making him come within seconds, leaving you both panting with exertion. Oh it’s gonna be a long summer.
Konrad Curze
It all starts when you dare to lean over your boat and put a kiss on Konrads lips. For a moment he’s stunned and you’re ready to apologize before he leaps out of the water, pulling you into the water by the nape of your neck. For a moment you panic being in dangerous waters but all the fish had scattered away, leaving only him swinging to you. Your lips meet again, he draws blood and you have to readjust his hands on your body before breaks something. And slowly the terror of the night adjusts, grows softer while you peel away all his layers.
Sanguinius
Sanguinius is like a sweet fruit that lays in the in the shadow of a tree, relaxing, ready to be plucked and you can’t help but join him. You lazily make out as the minutes pass between you before he takes it a step further, pulling you under him, his teeth grazing your neck. You know he would never hurt you on purpose but the underlying danger in his claws, teeth and coiled muscles add to the allure of him and as soon as he tastes blood he falls into a frenzy, thrusting into you like a madman while his eyes become hazy. His love tastes like copper.
Roboute Guilliman
It’s been a while since you saw Roboute so lively, almost restless. It’s mesmerizing to watch his blue tail shine in the water as he swims around your boat. He impresses you, brings you a present and seals the deal with a hesitant kiss. While he’s unfamiliar with your body, he learns quickly, sucking on your nipples, pulling in his claws while he fingers you and finds the sweetest spot that makes you tense in his arms. A part of him knows that you two might be too different but he’s willing to try and learn how to love you.
Corvus Corax
It was normal that he gave you small trinkets when you were out on sea at night. Some of them were like amulets that were there to protect you, sometimes it was jewelry. This time it was a clam that he placed in your hands, waiting for either acceptance or rejection. Corvus will gladly be your oyster knife, pulling you at dusk into the water and keeping you till dawn. He fucks you softly by his standards, not biting you too hard and licks all the wounds before bringing you back to your boat, staying even when the sun blinds him.
Vulkan
The evenings suddenly grow longer the more he spends time with you and even if it’s wrong he can’t help but fall hard for you. Gives you a lot of kisses and the warmth of his body is a great contrast to the cool water. Vulkan is large and lets you take the lead, sitting on his tail and touching him however you want . The last thing he wants is to accidentally hurt you in such an intimate moment. He caresses you with his large hands, feeds you small pieces of fruit and encourages you with words to take him deeper till you both are in bliss.
Ferrus Manus
It’s only right for him to choose a strong partner for mating and when he comes up from the depths of the sea and who is better suited for him than the person who keeps surviving through hardships? It’s a straight forward proposition to mate with him and Ferrus has demonstrated already that he’s perfect partner for you. He supports you with his hands, helping you ride his massive cock and letting him fill you out completely while you throw your head back in ecstasy. It’s utterly perfect and Ferrus knows he had chosen right.
Leman Russ
Teases you the whole winter with only kisses and fleeting touches. If Leman could he would’ve already pulled you into the water for hours but sadly that would cut the fun short. Again when summer comes he already knows all the warm spots he can take you to and give you a good pounding. It’s in his instinct to mate and clearly he found the perfect partner in you. Days are spend simple, hunting together and you taking his cock till the season gets colder again and he returns you back to your home, satisfied and content.
Jaghatai Khan
It’s the kind of love that doesn’t have any roots. Jaghatai migrates with his sons a lot but every time he comes back he makes sure to visit you, not only to bring you gifts from around the world but also to spend time buried between your legs. Those moths are fleeting but passionate, meeting nearly every day at the beach, having him fuck you on all fours in the water or straddling him while his hands help you take his cock faster and faster till your hole clenches around him, till the sea calls for him again and he can’t resist it anymore.
Magnus
The forbidden fruit of knowledge is way too sweet to resist and Magnus is all yours. He observed the animals on land for decades and now he wants to feel it for himself what it’s like to be loved by someone other than a sea creature. He courts you for a long time and when you say yes to mate with him, he’s beaming with excitement. Suck him, ride him, tie him down against a shipwreck, he will endure whatever you give him even if he risks drying out on land. Slowly he starts to understand why people enjoy sex so much.
Mortarion
For many species the island that Mortarion inhabits is the perfect spot to find a mate and create new life. It bustles with life and even he isn’t indifferent to it since he had met you. It’s unexpected that you fall for him too, going into the water with him and letting him indulge in your delicious body, laying you down in the shallow end and pounding you into the sand. After being in toxic and radioactive waters for too long it’s a stretch to say that he will be able sire anything a fish can dream, right? After all there is still a chance it’s possible.
Angron
It takes a different kind of courage, bordering on foolishness to get into the water with such a beast. But the attraction is strong enough for you to risk it all, getting into the water and inviting him to take a bite. It’s a thrill seeing Angron’s red fin flash in the water before he grabs you, his claws sinking into your thighs and nearly drawing blood while he fucks into you from behind. It’s brutal, it’s bloody and you hold onto that fateful buoy for dear life but when he licks along your wounds you know you don’t want it any other way.
Horus Lupercal
The moment he saw you, Horus knew you would be his. But the way his rivals had been looking at you rubbed him the wrong way, making his claws itch. No wonder he fucks you like he’s possessed, leaving bite marks and bruises that would be visible for days and for everyone. He makes you moan, swearing that you would only be his till the end. It’s almost like a marriage vow. Resting his head on your chest while his cock is still half hard in you he feels at peace, knowing that no other merman would dare to touch what is his.
Lorgar Aurelian
How can you say no when he had already decorated a spot on the rocks of his shrine with shells, crystals and pretty stones, rolling out a rug that you had given him just to make it comfortable? Your joining isn’t just sex to him, it’s a collision of two worlds, when he has you on your back and worships you with his tongue between your legs and that’s just the beginning. Mating with him goes on for hours through different stages and rituals. That being said as soon as you joined there will be no one else for Lorgar but you for life.
Alpharius/Omegon
They take you at the same time, luring you into the water for a good time and oh boy it is when you feel two cocks stretching out your hole, taking turns thrusting into you like there is no tomorrow. Teeth graze your shoulders and neck, restless hands explore your body and hold you in place, making sure that nothing slips out of you as they come with a grunt. Of course the little threesome doesn’t need to end with the mating season, you can come to them any time. Maybe you will be up for a second round too.
Bonus!!!
Emperor of (Fish-) Mankind
Rejoice! You have been chosen by someone who is worshipped as a god on land. You should be proud as you are taken into the waters by gentle hands, that take off your ceremonial clothes. He comes alone to you without his golden warriors, taking you to safer shallows where you wouldn’t be interrupted, laying his body on the sand and making you ride his cock till you see stars. He already has twenty sons but with the way he pushes his release into you he might get one more or several quite soon.
Malcador
You were surprised how much strength the old merman had but when he invited you to join him on small cliff you didn’t expect that you would land under him or that he would heave up his weight to thrust into you with fervor. While he may not have the same drive as the younger mermen, he certainly has the experience to make your legs quiver for the rest of the day and you don’t doubt that your moans echo through the whole cliff side. Just let him take care of you, after all the stress of fending for yourself you deserve it.
Horus prowled his oceans, beady eyes seeking prey of one kind or another. He glided slowly through the waters, occasionally breaching the calm seas to catch a deep breath of salty air before he dove back down. There was a throbbing ache in his lower belly, an instinctual need.
He needed to find someone to spend the season with. His pod had broken apart, set off to seek their own. Surely, he could have found someone closer to their usual hunting grounds, someone more than eager and willing who would feed off their scraps and use them for protection.
He could’ve easily taken one of them for himself, even two, but he’d grown bored with their clinginess. It was cute, to a degree, but even he had his limits on their fawning and adoration. He needed something new, something a little… more.
That something new happened to be a distant cry of frustration. His head turned and he breached the water, sucking in a deep lungful of air before diving down, beating his tail hard. He clicked a few times, seeking the source. The cry rippled back through the waters, reaching him with ease.
His powerful tail carried him through the waters with ease, pumping hard. He saw the smaller mer - less than half his size and far more beautiful than him with flaring, blue fins. Her short claws pulled at the hard, biting rope tangled around herself, bound to a heavy anchor. She was well and trapped, some of her fins pinned awkwardly to her body, her tail kicking up a cloud of sand with every struggling flap.
He approached her slowly, circling her. Her eyes darted to him, flicking over his much larger, black and white bulk. He flashed her a wide grin, revealing too many sharp teeth despite the disarming expression.
Her eyes narrowed and she bared her teeth at him, her hiss spewing up bubbles. “I’m not a meal.”
He chuckled, admiring the work. It was an old style of tapping mers, appearing to abandon an anchor, the chain and ropes set to wrap around and hold any stray mers in place. Small mers like this one would use the rope or chain for personal use and end up trapped until the owners came back for them.
He could wait for the boat to return, capsize it, kill the humans for daring to threaten such a little mer. But, his needs came first and her fearful scent tainted the water. His instincts yelled at him to impress her, to rescue her, to protect her more than seek blood.
“Oh, I don’t want to eat you,” he rumbled. He drifted closer to her, following the taut rope where it wrapped around her.
She tried to push back from him, tail flicking hard. The rope tightened around her body and she winced. “Then free me and let me go.”
He chuckled and grabbed hold of the rope. “Hold still.” With his teeth, he bit through the rope, tearing it clean in two.
She tumbled back, arms and fins flailing from how taut she’d pulled herself. Ropes fell free and he pushed himself forward, catching her in his big hands and helping to push the ropes off of her, being none too discreet with how he was touching her. She’d have some rope burns for a while, but she’d barely been hurt.
He clicked his tongue, tightening his grip on her when she beat her tail against his own. “Where do you think you’re going?”
She scowled at him, her fins flaring in an adorable threat display. “Away from you. Thanks, but you smell terrible.”
He chuckled, bowing his head low. “You can thank me better than that, can’t you?”
She hissed and he flinched back when she tossed up sand towards him, clouding herself. He waved his away with his hands, releasing her and giving her the chance to dart away. She swam off, fins tucking in tight as she beat her tail hard.
He grinned, catching a scent of arousal in her wake. Someone was playing hard to get. He took off after her, giving her just a moment. It was enough to let her think she had enough distance to truly escape him.
She swam hard, pumping her tail, gills already burning from her struggle. How dare he think he was allowed anything beyond her words of gratitude! And how dare he impress her with the simple act of biting through rope! Men!
She heard him behind her and ducked into the thick coral shelf, folding her fins in tighter to prevent catching them in the rough coral. The last thing she needed was spilling her blood and attracting some shark to herself. She needed rest, not to be chased and hunted for sport.
He was bigger and hadn’t spent the past hours struggling and fighting, however. It was far easier for him to keep up, despite his bulk and size. He swam over her, grinning with too many sharp teeth when she caught the hungry look in his eye.
Her heart pounded as she saw the reef thinning out. There was nowhere to go but out, where she’d be exposed to him. She let herself sink back, hating herself for how much the chase was arousing her. His heady scent was filling the water and hers was meeting it to her own regret.
He swam down, grinning. “C’mon, get out of there. I can smell you.”
She hated him. She barely knew this man and she hated him already. Her fins twitched out in the instinct to flare and she hated herself for reacting like that. She sank back, gills flaring as she breathed hard. She could wait him out, he would need to surface for air sooner or later and she could use the chance to escape.
But even she wasn’t immune to the call of mating season. She had ways to satisfy herself, but they all lacked the warmth of a partner. She bared her teeth at him, blunt and thicker, more suited to hard shells and his grin only widened.
Her tail flicked once and he snatched her as soon as her torso was revealed. He beat his tail hard, surging up to the surface. She clung to him, her fins flaring out instinctually to keep herself steady.
He indulged himself in another deep pull of air into his lungs - inferior, in her opinion and she scowled at the sudden change from water to air, her gills closing. She barely had time to make her annoyance known before he ducked under the water, running his hands over her sides, squeezing her hips, pulling her body to his.
His tail was far too bulky for the romantic dancing and intwining of fins. Her own fins extended and fluttered, waving gently in the water and sending ripples out. She alone stirred their scents together, swirling them around each other.
With little grace or warning, his slit parted and the head of his bright pink cock extended, twitching as it was exposed to the warm ocean waters between them. Sunlight beamed gently through the water, reflecting and glinting through the surface, making it appear even a lighter shade. Much to her chagrin, he was unsuited to mating deeper in the waters, where it’d be safe and unseen from predators.
As though reading her mind, he grinned down at her, running his hands over her sides as his cock rubbed itself against her closed slit, coaxing it to open gently. “You know you’re safe with me, cutie.”
She sneered half-heartedly at him, though her fins were wrapping gently around his tail and her slit was opening, thick slick beading into the water. It caught on his cock and slicked it, clinging to the hot flesh. “I don’t trust you.”
He cooed down at her, head of his cock angling to her exposed cunt. To her embarrassment, the head slid in with little resistance, the flesh malleable enough to push in and fill her slowly. “I wouldn’t eat you.”
Her gills flared in a hot exhale, bubbles drifting up. Her fins tightened around his body, pulling her down onto him, guiding him deeper. His cock slid deeper with ease, clawed hands clutching at the gentle curve of her lower back and waist, pricking her where her scales met her body.
She reached up, grabbing onto his forearms. “B-Big…,” she gasped.
He smiled, pulling her back and forth gently, rocking his hips. His cock was fat and heavy, but still soft enough to fit and fill her without straining her. Her slimmer body bulged out and her eyes fluttered and rolled, unable to focus on him.
He moved her steadily, letting her scratch and claw at his forearms. The water swirled around them, sloshing as they continued their mating. Their mingled scents would carry for miles, his scent so entangled with hers that no one would doubt who she belonged to.
He grinned down at her, thrusting hard. She was soaked in arousal, hair flowing around her face wildly, unrestrained from any ties or bands. He couldn’t help but admire the pleasured expression across her face. She never was truly annoyed with him, despite her cute fight.
“Big and all for you,” he grunted, spilling his first load into her. She squealed out in pleasure, her hips twitching as she was filled. “Don’t worry, there’s more where that came from.”
Her eyes narrowed and he grinned, rocking his hips shallowly, pearly cum pushing out past his cock. She shivered, whining softly as she settled on him. “H-Hate you.”
He laughed, thick chest rippling with the movement. “Of course you do.”
Inspired by @gh0st-nebulae 's handsome crab! Oviposition
Perturabo grumbled, nearly growling as he trawled over his smoking beach. His heavy crab legs thumped into the stand, forelegs flipping over broken parts and kicking them aside. His woven sack sat around his body, still light from his recent collecting.
A crash seared across his wide beach, black smoke still rolling from its final landing. It’d disturbed him from preparing his nesting area and he was growing more displeased with how few things were worth collecting. Even the few sparking wires he’d come across were barely worth collecting.
Crashes from both sea and air were common around his islands and he was more than happy to scavenge from them, building his domicile to perfection. Even though weapons were few and far between, he still set up proper defenses. The likes of Dorn couldn’t hope to ruin his home, especially not with that soft body of his.
He smirked to himself, using his claws to snap the sturdy metal in two. See Dorn do something that, with all his blubber. His claws couldn’t even pierce his weakest armor.
Movement caught his attention, sharp eyes locking on. Glass crunched and shattered and there was a huff of effort before a body hit the sand with a thud. A sound of pain danced across the sands and he caught a strong smell of blood.
He treaded forward, moving aside broken pieces of their plane. A human was dragging herself forward, one leg oozing blood. It was deep, but not quite gushing yet. He’d seen plenty of humans die and she would, too, if he didn’t interfere.
She was fighting to live, though, pulling herself away from the burning wreckage. She spat out sand and winced when a flame threatened to reach out for her, holding her arm up in defense. Her flight jacket took the heat and she chose to shuck it off instead of trying to save it.
He stepped towards her, crunching the broken wing and gaining her attention, her eyes widening. Blood dripped down her forehead, a prominent bruise already budding. She breathed heavily and he had no doubt her vision was swimming, but she still wrenched a knife from a sheath on her thigh.
He snorted a laugh. “You think that could stop me?”
She pushed herself away from him as he continued to approach, knife wavering. “Y-Yes… no…”
He batted it away, knocking the blade from her hand before he pinned her wrist under his foreleg. She collapsed without any fight, breathing heavily, eyes wide in fear. He bowed down low, frowning at her. “No,” he answered. His eyes raked over her, the torn shirt, the rip in her pants, the glass cutting her forearms, the sand biting her face. She would live, he decided.
She kicked up, the motion weak and bouncing off his plated underbelly harmlessly. “No…”
He reached down, grabbing her in his hands. She gave a futile attempt at struggling before slumping, leaning into him as he carried her off. Yes, she would survive. Her injuries weren’t so bad he couldn’t repair her as well.
Perturabo took his time undressing her and then cleaning her body. There was a fresh pool of water - filtered and warmed by his own clever devices - and he was more gentle than believed as he cleaned her wounds. She woke briefly here and there to struggle against his wandering hands but when he snapped at her, she immediately quieted.
He’d never had a little companion for himself. He laid her down in his soft nest and set food out for her, staring as she slept. He’d covered her in a blanket he’d woven himself one evening, too small for his shell, but more than adequate for one human.
He grumbled, looking away from her. He needed to distract himself for the time being. She would want to heal in peace. Seeing his face had never been very welcoming for anyone, let alone humans.
The human slept and ate and healed over the course of several weeks, using the blanket as a makeshift dress. She slept in his nest, curled up with her pitiful knife clutched in her hand. She ate the food he gave her, even going so far to thank him. She even began helping him repair pieces, her smaller hands useful where he needed fine tools.
It was inevitable, however. A biological need that demanded to be cared for. Usually, he’d handle it himself, but now…
He had a partner.
She was easily persuaded, too, and that was how she ended up under him, on her knees, her face buried in the soft bedding. He laid low behind her, hands exploring her soft flesh. He couldn’t help himself. She was so soft, her body so malleable and human, her legs spread out for him to admire her slit.
He tilted his head, plunging two thick fingers into her. She sucked in a breath and he stared at her, watching her reaction closely for signs of pain. She showed none, so he took the cue to start thrusting his fingers, plunging them in and out of her.
He was large, so of course he needed to prepare her. She was only human, but it made her soft and pliant in a way that he simply wasn’t. She had no hard shell to protect her body and he’d never been more grateful for it. The scar on her leg was still fresh, standing out starkly against her skin and it was a hard reminder that she was human.
Her body was accepting of him, though, stretching around his fingers and already wet. She moaned soft, rocking back, tilting her hips slightly. He acknowledged the movements and responded accordingly, adjusting his fingers and thrusting them for her pleasure.
He almost snorted to himself. Here he was, caring for someone else’s pleasure and enjoyment. She must have made him soften up. Pathetic. He was better than that. Yet, here he was, preparing her for his cock.
He lifted himself up once he’d deemed her suitably relaxed and wet, human slick dripping down his fat knuckles. His plates had already parted and he rubbed the head of his cock with his wet hand, coaxing it to extend out. It was too heavy to stand on its own, relying on his hand to hold up the fat shaft.
He crawled close to her, squeezing the fat shaft of his cock. She glanced over her shoulder and he saw her breath catch at the size before he pressed himself forward, pushing the blunt head of his cock against her wet hole. She’d tensed and he grumbled at the resistance, a lingering heaviness in his lower belly reminding him of why he was doing this.
He pushed into her, grunting at her tightness. She squeaked when the head of his cock entered her and he tilted his hips forward, forcing himself in deeper. Her cunt was wet and soft, pliant to the way he forced himself to fit inside her.
He rocked his hips, pumping them, easing himself in deeper as he stimulated her. She rocked with him, clinging to the nesting material. She spread her legs wider, moaning out as her slick gathered and dripped down the length of his cock.
His hand locked her hip in place, gruning as he finally relaxed his internal grip. “Hold still.”
His eyes fluttered as he relaxed and small eggs slid from his cock, pushing deep into her body. Each one was barely as big as her fingertip, but there were hundreds of them. It was a shame they would go unfertilized, but this was a far better solution than finding a partner for them.
His head tipped back and he groaned openly as they quickened, sliding out of his body and filling hers instead. He could feel her squirming, her gasping and moaning clear to his ears. He groaned low in his throat, rolling his hips, easing the small eggs deeper into her body, filling her womb with them.
She gasped and moaned into the nest, clutching at blankets, wondering distantly how she’d ever gotten here. And, yet, she did nothing but watch as her own stomach grew, rounding out with his eggs. Her body was his to command, another of his projects that he formed with his own hands and claws.

The Day has finally begun, and only 2 hours of sleep was not enough. Getting out of bed I winced at the pain of my broken wrist, and got up, exhaling in frustration. With so much I had to look out for, two hours of sleep is all I can barely afford right now. After meeting Corvus Corax, getting my wrist broken, having to drive 4 hours to and from the hospital, then Angron beating Lorgar into a Pulp, all I can do is just get shut eye that should be enough. After a shower and putting on a white shirt, along with some black jeans, and then grabbing my apron, and brushing my hair on the way out, I got in. I heard Magnus and Perturabo talking to each other, then silent, as I walked in, waved at them casually and then grabbed the coffee pot. I poured a large cup of it then started to drink out of it. The Coffee was hot and fresh down my throat. I did not care who was watching me. My broken wrist held against my chest, and my eyes closed, I can feel some Coffee dribbling down my chin, and then finally, I lowered my large styrofoam cup, and sighed. Perturabo and Magnus stared at me as I wiped my mouth, breathing heavily from the long drink I took.
"Morning Faline." Magnus said as I looked at both of the Primarchs. Perturabo was blank face, his blue eyes at me, as he was holding a book in one hand and a pencil in the other. I waved, trying to get more coffee, but Magnus blocked the coffee pot with some sort of kinetic force field.
"Morning Magnus." I spoke still poking the field stubbornly.
"You okay?" Magnus asked.
"Yup.." I lied, still poking the field.
"Liar" Perturabo grunted. I looked at Perturabo, stopping my stubborn poking and then walked away from the coffee pot.
"And How much sleep did you have, between the arrival of Lorgar, him breaking your wrist, you going to the hospital and bringing Angron back here. I take it it was not much."
"one and a half to two hours, give or take," I replied, "I did not really get enough sleep, from Lorgar breaking my wrist, to now realizing you all might be one bicker away from murdering each other again. Ever since Lorgar arrived it seemed the tension has been high, it is like trying to corral Tornadoes. Superhuman, buff powerful Tornadoes who hate each other, and want to murder each other." I did not know I started to pace back and forth, the coffee now kicking in.
"Who said for you to corral us? Do we look like mindless sheep helplessly wandering around?" Perturabo demanded, still drawing schematics. "We are Primarchs, not mindless savages. I cannot say the same for some of these brothers."
"Then why should I sleep when one moment you all are fine the next, a Primarch is thrown across a room, or I hear Primarchs yelling and fighting and just going chaotic. I only got a taste of it from Angron knocking Lorgar around." I went back to the coffee pot, but Magnus psychically blocked it again, and I glared at Magnus looking innocently and putting away the books. I walked away defeated as I sat across Perturabo.
"The Word Bearer deserved it with how he has been acting and what he has done. Just stop complaining about us, and go get some sleep." He noticed me peeking at his schematics and he stared at me, as I was trying to find out what he was making.
"What are you drawing?" I asked him, and he looked back down spreading out the papers, the schematics seemed to be what looked to be a telescope, drafts and equations.
""I am borrowing some books to design a flawless template of an Operational telescope to observe an upcoming cosmic event." I turned my head to Magnus only to smile, a hint of excitement.
"Last night, we found out a total solar eclipse is coming to Selleton and if our calculations are correct, which usually is, we will be in the path of totality. " Magnus said sitting with us.
"That is actually amazing. That means a lot of people will come to Selleton to witness the Eclipse. I can make Brisket and Mac and Cheese for the event too, we can have a picnic!" My excitement was unnerving to Perturabo, I noticed. He crossed his arms, leaning back on the chair,
"Do you all literally stop what you are doing to witness an Eclipse?"
"I mean, yes. It is a once in a lifetime event. I know you all can live long enough to see like 5 or 6 in your lifetime, but to people like me, we are lucky if we even see one or two. It is an experience no one wants to miss." I said, "I don't know what these numbers are, but this looks like an amazing telescope."
"Of course it will be." Perturabo leaned back into his work, continuing his designing. "I do not strive for mediocrity or any form of second rate telescope you find in those large department shops this place has. The only drawback I have, is the fact I have to go back to Charles for my metal and components and I am at my wit's end with that adolescent whelp."
"Charles? His dad owns the Metal yard and he works there. He is great people, its rare for him to come down to Selleton, but he is quite funny when you get to know him." Perturabo rolled his eyes, his eyes not leaving his design.
"He Constantly smells of Marijuana, he looks like he is about to sleep in that chair of his, eats Doritos constantly, and calls me 'Perturabro'. He is a simpleton who frankly is lucky I did not grab him and slam him on the ground." He ranted then looked over at me. "Of course you would enjoy the company of simpletons."
"I enjoy Your company, does that make you a simpleton in that logic?" I was rewarded with a glare from Perturabo and Magnus smiled at the back and forth, seeing my smile and Perturabo's scowl.
"She did get you there."Magnus said, causing me to chuckle. Perturabo huffed and continued his work. It was then We heard the loud thud of the door being hit. I immediately shot upward, only to see Lorgar run in the Cafe, heavily breathing as Angron zoomed past, abruptly stopped and tried to get in.
"COME HERE AND FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN, LORGAR! YOU WANT TO RUN THAT MOUTH OF YOURS WITH YOUR LIES!" Angron shouted and I walked over to the door, Lorgar pointed.
"Is this Angron being cured of his fury? he is still the berserker we know." Lorgar yelled at me, and I rose my good hand, my broken wrist still near my chest.
"We never said he is fully healed, he still has some nails in his head. He runs like the regular World eaters, without the Khorne influence." I said, as I opened the door. "Angron, what happened, why are you angry." Oliver finally caught up with Angron and he bent over, catching his breath.
"sorry. Could not.. keep up.." he heaved again "with… hes so fast." He said, leaning on the window. "So, Lorgar came up to us, was still butt hurt about what I said to him last night, and he wanted to get in my face. Angron of course pushed him back, and Lorgar justified his actions of turning him all demon and shit to be 'oh, at least you weren't suffering of the nails. ooh you are much stronger.. blah blah blah. my name is Lorgar beat me until I like it.!" Lorgar shouted in the window.
"YOU INSOLENT MEDICAE! I KILLED FOR LESS!" I rubbed my temples until I heard Angron shout out.
"YOU WILL NOT TOUCH HIM, LORGAR HE WAS MORE A HELP THAN YOU EVER WERE. AND HE DOESNT LIE." It was then He went to knock on the window, and I finally shouted out.
"ENOUGH!! I WILL NOT HAVE FIGHTS NEAR OR IN MY CAFE!" I finally snapped. There was silence. Oliver blinked, and Angron looked down at me. Perturabo was not even reacting to such, only working on his schematics and Magnus looked ready to intervene, his own hand glowing.
"Lorgar, you stay in that corner over there and read something." I finally said, and Lorgar stared at me as if I had the audacity, but he obliged, walking to the book area of my cafe. "Oliver, Angron, Fighting in my cafe will not solve anything! Now Leave."
"So you are gonna shelter that lying snake in your little shop?" Angron growled and I shook my head no.
"I am still pissed off with him from breaking my wrist, but right now, he is going to stay Right there, until he is clear to leave. I do not care where you fight Lorgar, just not so near my shop." Angron huffed, and looked up glaring at Lorgar, and Oliver just gave Lorgar the judgemental stare and then Angron stomped off, Oliver following him.
"Sorry, sis. but still. Lorgar irritates Angron's nails, and as his nurse. He has to stay away until things calm down." I nodded and Oliver followed Angron back to the apartments.
"If I were asleep, I would have a ruined shop. and most of you in a fury, fighting. this is why I can not sleep." I said regarding my hand to the windows, the door, and Lorgar.
"A ruined shop is an easy fix for me, Faline. You have little faith in me if you think i am gonna keep your place destroyed by my brother." Magnus stated, sitting back down. "You need to sleep."
"I wish to thank you from protecting me from—" Lorgar started but I rose up a single finger, telling him to shut up.
"Do NOT thank me, Lorgar. You honestly deserved Angron's wrath. frankly, I am shocked no other Primarch is trying to gun for you. except maybe Corvus, but I have not seen him lately."
"Corvus has been around actually, invisible and observing the town, If I remember right, he is staying with Lion and Leman at the time being but I did happen to sense him watching the whole altercation just at the border of the park grounds." Magnus said waving nonchalantly, as if I was supposed to see him as well. "Corvus has the ability to render himself invisible and psychically render himself undetectable to those without any form of true sight. You cannot see him, but I can."
"Regardless, Magnus. It just seems I show my face into Selleton, and Immediatley I am greeted with animosity, and violence."
"Let us point out a few reasons for that, Lorgar." Perturabo said still not taking his eyes off his designs. "You became the First heretic, Gave Angron to chaos, and your own legion turned Horus into the Champion of Chaos. You were the slowest in the Acquisition of your planets you were assigned, due to your blind zealotry, and honestly, we can all agree you might be the weakest among us." I sat down, sighing, and again hearing the bickering of the brothers. Lorgar squinted his eyes and then scoffed.
"I have heard these reasons for the umpteenth time, and I am aware of my shortcomings, but what I lack, I make up for in my own Charisma, my resources, my own adaptability. Angron can be angry all he wants for what I have done."
"So you admit most of your actions was all you?" I asked. "We know early in your life you were manipulated by Kor Phaeron and Erebus, but still, you still had your own interests."
"Of course I did." Lorgar confirmed "and obviously, this place is my own personal hell to be watching my back to make sure the other Primarchs do not attack me due to my own Transgressions, all while being blind to their own. Why is the stone being cast at me, when they are just as guilty of various sins."
"Because You all are still unable to deal with your own sins. Still. No matter how much I talk to you all no matter how many times I get you all to gather, have some merriment, and just be normal men, all of you come back to those raging men who have not only been wronged, but made others suffer from your actions. You Lorgar coming here, made it real."
"Then why did you read my book, Faline. Why did you bring me here, when you know I was the one Primarch that would change the course of whatever plan my father decided to give you."
"I was asked to. I was asked to read your book. You had to come here first before the rest, honestly…" I paused. it was something that clicked in my mind. What is Lorgar was SUPPOSED to be the first Primarch to come here in Selleton, instead of Lion. What if Lorgar had to be the first to atone for his sins, before the rest. I slumped my shoulders, and closed my eyes, now thinking of what would have been different if Lorgar came first. the First Heretic, becoming the first Redeemed. It would have given so much Impact in what Selleton was supposed to be for the Primarchs.
"I should have read your book first.. Before I read the others." I finally admitted and Lorgar just sighed. "It is too late now, isn't it. I will leave the Cafe. I thank you for the temporary reprieve, but I did happen to see something beyond the park, a graveyard. With a church. is it available?"
"No, there is a priest that goes there, but Today, he should not be there. Do NOT fuck with the graves there."
"I will not defile the dead, I am not a monster." He said, as he walked out, and continued toward the park. I rubbed my temples, even with the coffee I was stressed, tired and my mind was not even functioning properly.
"Big Superhuman men, wanting to kill each other.' I mumbled. I only heard Perturabo and Magnus talking amongst themselves, but it was just mindless noise to me. it was then I heard steps, and I looked up, and then I was picked up. Perturabo did not even speak, or look at me. after the initial shock, I finally struggled.
"HEY HEY!! Put me down, Perturabo! Dammit!" I hit his head, but he did not falter.
"No. You are running on two hours of sleep and Stressing yourself out." he said. Magnus was following us as he walked to my apartment upstairs. He opened the door, then dropped me unceremoniously upon the entrance of my house.
"You are not leaving this apartment until you get a good sleep." He pointed down to the ground, finality in his voice.
"Do NOT Tell me.. what to do," I said through gritted teeth "I have my own reasons to stay awake, and you will not—"
"Magnus." Perturabo stepped back, and Before I lunged at him, I felt a familiar pressure in my head, and suddenly, I felt my body go limp and my eyes getting heavy. Magnus was putting me to sleep. I fell to my knees and My limbs weakly flailed, trying to stay awake. I Looked like a tired child throwing a tantrum.
"Magnus, you… son of a…" I slurred my speech, then I fell to the Carpet my eyes unable to keep open. "bitch…"
I woke up to darkness, but this was not my bed. the Bed was a golden chaise, beautiful and ornate, and way too expensive for something of my salary. I darted up, and then looked around, trying to find out what I ended up.Did Magnus transport me somewhere? I turned to see Golden armored men, Towering over me almost three heads taller than me, and beside them, what seemed to be women, their mouths hidden but marching with the gold clad men in step. I moved aside, but I get the feeling they can not see me. I walked behind them. the Entire Architecture of the Imperial Palace made me just marvel and awe at how immaculate it was. Who built this place? Was it Rogal Dorn? I kept in pace with the Custodes and sisters of Silence, still looking around, until I noticed they stopped and led me to another group, saluting then the patrolling began again. I looked in the door of what they were guarding, and I noticed two men. Ones I recognize. The smaller one, had to be the Sigillite. Clad in brown, a staff in his hand that was aflame, and the one that towered over him. Long silver hair as he was speaking to the Emperor. I audibly gasped, and immediately Both Malcador and the Emperor turned themselves around, and their eyes looked into mine. I was ethereal, and they were able to see me.
"You do not belong here, Faline. Go back"
I heard the deep voice and before I got to protest, Malcador tapped his staff and immediately I jerked awake the images of the imperial palace now dissolving until I was in my apartment. Did I just dream of the Emperor and Malcador? What were they doing in that room? Sitting up, I tried to remember what I saw, but something was fogging me from such things. As if they were blocking me from keeping myself from keeping a clear image. I got up, now in my home, I had some bones to pick with Magnus and Perturabo. I felt so rested, but I was still angry. I left my house and then stomped out. The Sun was setting, and it seemed I slept the entire day, while I was relieved to be able to sleep, Perturabo and Magnus was going to get it. I Walked in the workshop, Perturabo was working on the Telescope. He was alone, except for the Budgies who was flying around.
"You Asshole." I yelled. He did not turn around.
"Your Slumber did not improve your mood I see." he grumbled. "You were slowly wasting away, trying to keep us corralled like we were petulant children"
"What Do you Want me to do, then? All of you are Primarchs who have no emotional control. Bringing Lorgar here showed the more you all come here, the more anger there will be."
"Your lack of faith in us a major flaw." he threw his tools upon the desk, getting up, and then gently waved the budgie that tried to land on his beard, so it ended up on his shoulder. "You are not supposed to be our babysitter, Faline."
"Maybe if you all stop acting immature, I would not have to be!" I clapped back, Perturabo's other budgie ended up on my own shoulder. He moved, the birds flying off back to their cage. he was towering over me.
"You dare say that to me. You are given books from the Emperor and suddenly, you are invincible and indestructible. Coming here, thinking you have any sway in what we do. Destroying your own well being to make sure we are watched like mewling children. We aren't children, Faline, and YOU are easily breakable. That wrist cast should be proof enough." I looked back at my broken wrist. I thought back at Lorgar crushing it, and I turned my head away from Perturabo
"It is true. You are definitely immature men, men who have not had a proper childhood, except maybe the Kahn and Guilliman, and what about you?" Perturabo Scoffed.
"We did not need to have a childhood. we were tools of the emperor, we were made for war.
"Yeah, that is a Grand plan" I yelled sarcastically. "Give emotionally unstable men nukes and hope for the best. Father of the year."
"Don't you dare. You know nothing. we have not needed any emotions. We are tools of war. You think we needed any of that."
"You became the true personification of the armor of contempt because no one gave you any ounce of emotion yourself. No no, I am Wrong, actually. Wait wait. no. YOU Never gave emotion a chance. You are a bitter Grudge holding man baby who feels like nothing is above you!"
Perturabo Advanced to me, and he went to grip my neck, but his hand was inches close to my neck. making me freeze, and he looked into my eyes. there was something that was holding him back, i can tell. He noticed my shaking and then he saw my wrist instinctively moving to my chest holding it defensively. despite my defiance, despite telling these superhuman men what they do not want to hear. I am still scared. I am still afraid of them. He lowered his hand.
"Not again." He said to himself. "Not again." There was a long pause, as he turned around, picking up his tools,
"Leave."
"why?"
"I said leave."
"no, I am not leaving," I countered.
"You said your peace, I want to analyze it while I continue to work on this Telescope." He said gruffly, then he sat back down on his chair, and hunched over, both his birds landing on his shoulder, and grooming each other. There was silence at first, he did not seem to be working right now. his hands were not moving, something is bothering him.
"You…" he said softly, "Remind me of someone I know. Long ago." I lowered my head, there was silence now. There was nothing else to say, nothing else to fight about. I turned around about to leave, when his voice broke the silence.
"What do you see when you see my schematics, Faline. What do you see then?"
"I see a Man who just wanted to give the world peace and beauty, but those who came to you just wanted your brain for war. I do see your schematics, and I see someone who Really can give beauty to a torn world." I went to leave, but I heard his steps, again, and I froze, but he turned me, and picked me up. I went to protest when suddenly, he slammed his lips against mine.
I widened my eyes at first, the kiss something I did not expect. His Lips was cold, but the way he gave me such yearning, as if begging for my own lips, it threw me off. My arms, despite the initial shock of being kissed by a whole Primarch, just moved around his shoulders and I responded with my own.
His hand lifted up my back as soon as he got the silent consent to continue. He was not the best at this, so I silently guided him, opening my mouth, and he was definitely a quick learner. In a span of seconds he was surpassing me! How can I be surpassed by someone who never kissed a girl before?!
I practically melted, as he turned me and laid me on the counter, his arms, on each side of me, his mouth not moving away from mine. I was still shaking, my eyes closed, and one of my hands, tangling into the cables in his head. He returned it with both his rough hands going up in my curls and holding my head right at my temples, gently massaging it.
At first I did not know what else to do, pinned down by Perturabo, on his counter, and when he deepened the kiss, his tongue entering my mouth, I gripped his head, making him growl against my lips. That awakened my lust more. What he was doing to me, I immediately wanted more. My legs were about to wrap around his waist and he responded with his hand softly creeping underneath my shirt, making me slightly moan until..
"Oh my goodness. Faline!" I heard an effeminate voice behind Perturabo. We immediately broke apart, some slight strand of saliva broke apart as we pulled away, and I immediately turned red, seeing Fulgrim, his hands on his chest in a shocked manner, his face not showing surprise, but plastered on it, a smile.
"Oh, did I come at a bad time?" He asked, and I hopped off the counter, lowering my shirt, and fixed up my hair. Perturabo looked annoyed, and his body was turned awkwardly to the side, as if hiding something from Fulgrim.
"Leave, Fulgrim. Now" Perturabo commanded, but the mood was gone. Now there was embarrassment. I looked away again, then I pushed past Fulgrim, bursting through the door.
"and Here I thought she was a Little Disney girl, thinking holding hands was naughty." I heard Fulgrim tease as I ran, my head was swimming, reeling really at what I just did. I thought Primarchs were incapable of feeling any form of sexual attraction, or any form of lust, but here I was, Perturabo and I having the steamiest make out session, and I swore there was something at full attention in his pants. I was panicking until I walked in the Java Nook, Magnus in the process of closing down. He went to greet me until he froze. He must have seen what I have done, in my head, and read my mind and his jaw dropped.
"Faline, you did NOT!"
"Don't! Don't." I rose my hand at him. "I.." I could not even think straight Trying to formulate any form of words anything to explain.
"Want to close the Nook?" He said, holding the broom up.
"Please!" I said desperately and he gladly gave me the broom and Stepped aside. when he disappeared, I just did the process of closing down the Nook, no one talking to me, my body calming down from tonight and my thoughts reorganizing.
Driving by myself to the next town over was what I needed, the supermarket had the seasonings and cheeses I needed for my Mac and Cheese. So, as expected, I did not think to run into anyone in the store, until I heard my brother scurrying to me
"Fulgrim told me the juiciest tea in all of Selleton. GIRL! You MADE OUT WITH—"
I shushed Oliver and then hissed at him.
"Shut up! Geez, you don't have to yell it! And Where is Angron?" Oliver giggled, walking with me, as we went up the aisle heading to the pasta section of the aisle.
"He is back at Selleton, he is fine." He waved dismissively. "I do not always have to be up his ass. but yes, Fulgrim told me, that you were playing tongue wrestling with Perturabo."
"You know, Fulgrim needs to not flap his mouth where it doesn't belong." I said, putting the Elbow pasta in the small cart. Oliver blinked, fluttering his eyes.
"You didn't stop Perturabo when he flapped his mouth where it didn't belong." I slumped my shoulders, as Oliver gave me his sassy look.
"Stop TEASING ME!" I quietly yelled, as he giggled.. "And it did Belong, for your information. it was HOT. and steamy, and I might go and do it again." Oliver dropped his jaw and then gasped,
"Get it, But not before you finish this Mac and Cheese." He lifted up the pasta box and then put it back and got the more expensive kind. "These don't get rubbery, and if you dont get Paprika, I have to disown you as a sister!"
"I GOT Paprika at home!" I turned the corner of the shop, and Oliver and I gathered the needed ingredients for our mother's recipe of Mac and Cheese, until Oliver finally broke the silence.
"I do have a question, Faline. Does Angron have.. abilities? Like Magic stuff like Magnus?" I furrowed my brow then looked over at him. That was a very unrelated question.
"Uh, I think in Slave of Nuceria, he was able to get rid of the Pain and fear of others, just by touching them, there was a part where he touched the shoulder of a scared boy, who just became a slave and the boy immediately calmed, and had a restful sleep. That ability was gone, as soon as he had the nails interred in his head. Why do you ask?" Oliver sighed.
"Well, He and I were walking around the park, so he can understand what Selleton is, and he was talking to me about what is was like to be a slave in the planet, I read his book, and well, I started to cry, because well, it was sad. He was so.." I heard Oliver talk as I put the Sharp cheddar, the Gruyere, and the Colby Jack cheese in my cart. "So then, he touched my shoulder, not anything romantic, just like a reassurance, and then suddenly, I felt like all the sadness all my anger for his sake, was like, poof, gone in an instant. But then he started growling in pain and clutching his head."
I blinked, listening to this. And I pointed my finger. "You know, He was able to recover his brain and his emotions during the surgery, there could be a chance he has it, but the Nails that are still in his head cause him pain when he uses it. Psyker Abilities can of course disturb the nails and make them hurt more." Oliver nodded, as if now getting it.
"Ohhh, So, he has the healing touch, but it harms him doing it. Damn, Poor guy. But no worries, We have a lot of methods to mitigate that pain. I did some Research, and I managed to find out something." Oliver said, putting some Chips in the bag. and I looked at him incredulously.
"You got Chips money?" I asked him bobbing my head at him.
"yeah, bitch. Yours. Anyway." I dropped my jaw as he continued as if nothing happened. I put the chips back when he didn't look.
"So, I found out the Nails reward him when he commits violent acts. Okay, none of these nails have eyes, or actually see if he is doing anything violent, so, I found out that he can play violent video games and it calms his nails easily. It worked with Doom, Mortal Kombat, and Animal Crossing."
I was impressed with the resourcefulness of my brother, but the mention of Animal Crossing threw me off. "That game isn't Violent."
"To him it is. He gets angry with the Rock that doesn't give him bells, or if that dumb pig sells turnips at a ridiculous price. It is quite amusing really. When he isnt feeling the video games, he either runs across the park, chops wood, or even punches and knocks down a far off tree." He said, when he helped me put my groceries on the conveyor belt.
"Should the Primarchs have some form of sparring ground or fighting area so they can relieve tension and settle grievances?" Oliver looked at me, and he sighed, trying to find the right words.
"They honestly need to talk to each other," Oliver said. "They are all horrible with words, great with action. But none of them want to fully sit down, and just let each other know what is wrong with them. I mean MAYBE fists can help them open up more, but they need to learn communication skills that isn't militaristic, and sassy insults with high intelligence. Fulgrim is BEST at those Backhanded comments, they floor ME!"
"Clearly, you never heard Jaghatai Kahn and his comebacks." we both laughed, as I paid for the groceries and then Oliver looked in the bags only to find his chips were gone. He glared, and I hurriedly ran to the car, only to stop at the small area with the free donated books, and I immediately grabbed them. Oliver regarded his hand.
"Most of these books are like boomer romance books." He grimaced, looking at one with a cover of a muscled man holding a swooning woman in a long flow length dress. I rolled my eyes.
"I mostly avoid those, but these are mostly what I am grabbing.." I pointed to a whole set of world book Encyclopedias. "Do you know how long I have been looking for these?!" Oliver just pursed his lips, grabbing his cart and leaving, tossing the book on top of my encyclopedia pile.
Oliver followed me home, and I pulled up into my spot in the parking spot only to see Leman flying across the park and sliding with a staff in his hand. He laughed as he ran up to Lion and tried to hit him, only for Lion to Side step and block, both of them heavy in training. I gasped only to realize, Corvus and Rogal was sitting upon the bench watching the spar and I panicked. Oliver grinned happily seeing the Primarchs have some enrichment, but he turned to look at me. I did not realize, but he was seeing what was reacting. I was sweating, my eyes large, and my hands was clenching my chest, my breathing was starting to get hollow, heavier. The feeling of them fighting, even if it was a friendly spar. what if the friendly spar turned deadly. What if this turned into an escalation that destroyed the town? My chest grew tighter. I know they were not even killing each other, they were merely sparring, but this day and a half brought me on edge. What if sparring turns to full on killing? what if they spark an all out war in the town, and destroy it? I will have failed.
"Faline!" I can barely hear a voice, my eyes were blurring, until I felt a hand on my shoulder and Oliver looked at me with a concerned look. I looked at him and immediately he sat me down upon a bench, and then sat with him.
"Honey, you are close to having a panic attack, what is going on." Lion and Leman clashed staves again, and the sound echoed through the park like thunder. my chest felt like it was burst watching them fight.
"They are sparring."
"yeah, Boys do that, They roughhouse."
"They aren't boys! They are Primarchs..Superhuman men. who can level towns! they are sparring.." My eyes watering and turning to tears, until the Primarchs stopped, from across the distance, they all looked at us, and they moved toward us. Leman the first to reach our bench.
"Faline, you look distressed, you okay?" Rogal Dorn said, Corvus behind him watching the ordeal. I was still breathing trying to regain my composure.
"I.. I am not. I am not okay." I admitted. "This past day. I am scared I will wake up to a devastated town because all of you want to fight and kill each other, from unresolved issues. Lorgar coming here, all of you are Angry! I can't prevent you all from.." I finally broke down and all of them froze, confused as what to even do, Oliver just sighed in exasperation.
"All of you strong bitches are making her scared you guys will murder each other if you come across anyone you are pissed off at. Like Leman and Magnus and Lion and Curze, and Rogal and Perturabo."
"I have no qualms with Perturabo." Rogal Countered, I could not answer as Oliver motioned for them to back up slightly. I nodded, trying to tell them I knew, my mind was more than capable to understand, but still the hidden fear of them fighting the anxiety of each of them in one spot trying to murder each other, it made me panic.
"I know. I know, I do, but.. I Can't" I said in between breaths, when Lion and Dorn looked up to see Angron walking up, holding bunches of logs and walking to the lumberyard. he stared at the group, to see me on a bench, on the verge of a panic attack, he put the logs down, then I stared at him, as he sat next to me and placed a hand upon my shoulder.
Immediately at once,as if Soothing water washed over me, my breathing was slowed, my body was more relaxed, that constricting feeling was gone. It was surreal. it was like Angron got rid of all of my worry, my anxiety, my pain. even my wrist did not throb. I looked at Angron, his eyes stoic, calm, and he nodded, as if this was just not a problem at all.
"thank you." I said, but before he can respond, he growled, his hand gripping the bench, as the nails dug into his brain, Leman went to ready his staff, but Angron held up a hand.
"Don't. Oliver." Angron snarled, and Oliver got up and then he helped Angron remove his grip on the bench and help him to the logs again.
"Sorry, guys, We will talk later, Angron is needing some medical attention." He said looking at me and I waved, assuring him I will be fine. Dorn looked down at me, and then he regarded his hand to Angron.
"What has happened."
"It seems Angron has the ability to take away anger, fear, pain, but it comes at a cost for the nails to bother him." Lion answered, observing his brother being led away. We can all tell those leftover nails were digging into his mind, and making him suffer more. I nodded.
"Oliver told me when we met up at the store. I have to go cook some food for tomorrow's eclipse, I don't have a brisket, so That might be—"
Leman cut me off.. "No no no, you mentioned Brisket, I expect to have brisket, I will get it for you. Where can I get one?" I blinked slightly thrown of by Leman's volunteering. "Uh, Thomas at the Butcher shop the next town over has some cuts of brisket, but they are quite expensive."
"Do not worry about the Funds, lass, Lion, come with me, we are going to the next town over. We are getting brisket." Lion sighed, and they both walked to the town limits, ready to walk a few miles out to the next town to get a slab of meat. Dorn and Corvus were the last two with me, and Corvus finally spoke up.
"You Mentioned yesterday that You should have read Lorgar's Book first. Why do you think that." I looked at Corvus when he said that and I sighed. I knew he was capable of hearing me saying that. He has been around observing and even gaining knowledge of the Town.
"I initially read your primarch books in order. but I realized, I should have been more strategic in my read order. It should have been Lorgar first. If he had more time to fully give himself the time to atone, i think this would have been easier."
"Honestly, if you ask me, reading Lorgar First would not have been a feasible strategy." Dorn said sitting with me on the bench.
"I agree with Dorn. you have not much knowledge on us, and you went in blind before even starting this mission. Starting with the First Heretic would have not only overwhelmed you, but You would not be in the predicament you are now."
I listened to them both, now thinking about their input in this. They were right, I never thought about my own knowledge of the Primarchs, my own preparedness before I even begun this. It made Sense.
"Bringing the Lion here first was the best decision, due to the fact he is independent, and behind the scenes, he helped the rest of us acclimate to the town. He may not admit it, but he sort of helped you before Konrad attacked you." Rogal finally revealed and Corvus nodded.
"If Lion were not here when you brought Lorgar, you would not be able to handle it, the Gradual adding of each Primarch was mostly handled by Lion, along with Dorn's help, and believe it or not, Leman."
"So you all have helped me behind everything, the overwhelming work that I did not do, You all shouldered it. You and Lion?" Dorn nodded.
"Faline, You are anxious a lot of us would not be able to restrain ourselves from needless fighting, you forget, before the war, before the heresy, we have fought alongside each other, and have spoken to each other before everything went downhill. There will be a time and place when our anger will come to a head, but we are able to prioritize what we are supposed to do here."
"I am sorry." I relented, and Dorn placed a hand upon my shoulder as reassurance, and I smiled. "That made me feel a lot better than I expected."
"I am pleased I can help, Faline. Now Leman and Lion should be returning soon with the Brisket, do you need anything for it?"
"I asked Perturabo to fix a Smoker for it, and I will be smoking it in his workshop." Dorn got up, liking my response, and Corvus joined him.
"We look forward to the Meal tomorrow during the eclipse." when they walked away, I got up myself, and when I walked back, I noticed Lion and Leman coming back, Leman with a large Package of Brisket in his arms, I dropped my jaw as I walked over to appraise the meat. The Slab that Leman chose was perfect, a nice thick layer of fat but the meat looked lean, healthy, and it looked thicker than any brisket I chose. the color was gorgeous and I had to keep myself from drooling at how it will look when it is seasoned and cooked.
"Told ya lass. We are NOT settling for anything but the best for brisket." He presented it, and I chuckled. "this is Perfect, I need to get it in my house to season it, and get it prepped for some. The Sooner I get it done, the Better, because it will take at least 12 hours to smoke!" I said, taking the hunk of meat. Leman saluted and he sauntered off, giddy like a child on Christmas eve. Lion stayed behind as I went to go up the steps to my apartment.
"Faline, have you Read Sanguinius' book?" I stopped and looked back at him, and he had a serious look on his face.
"I did. I closed the nook yesterday, and well, I read it before bed.." I said to him and he nodded, as if understanding the assignment. After hearing what Dorn said about Lion, I knew he was going to prepare for Sanguinius to come and to prepare him for a new environment.
"Lion. I want to say. thank you for helping me." I said to him, and he stopped, looking over before he turned to the park again.
"I do not need thanks, Faline, but it is appreciated." he said before heading back to the park.
With Perturabo's help and watching over the smoking of the brisket while I slept, I was confident my picnic was ready for the Eclipse. I Came down to my Picnic table, shaded and cool and I laid out the Spread. The Brisket, my Mac and cheese, a Large Ceramic Bowl full of Leafy Greens a mix of spring and romaine mixed with cucumbers slices, radishes, croutons, apple slices, grape tomatoes, feta cheese. The dressing I kept out of, to prevent the sogginess of it, but I came with a few of them for the others to choose what they like. I heard the sound of grinding only to see Leman drag his icebox and opening it to reveal beers and alcoholic drinks, all carefully placed in ice. he Grinned and looked at me expectantly, looking down at the brisket, then looking back at me. He silently was asking for some.
"I am not ready yet!" I laughed, and he sat closer to the brisket
"but the Brisket smells good. I happened to help with the choosing of the slab, so it is only right I taste it, to make sure it isnt.. poisoned." He had a mischievous, childish grin.
"You are immune to poisons." I objected, crimping the foil hearing the sound of more cars coming to Selleton. no doubt Visitors came to find a spot at the park. It was quite early, so it was empty now, but the park will fill up soon.
"I can still tell if it is poisoned or not." Leman playfully replied as i finally revealed the end result. the Brisket letting off some steam, and revealing a perfectly charred slab. the Smoky flavor invading both our nostrils, the slices showing the meat, the unrendered fat and the rendered fat in between well browned meat with hints of red lining the edges, perfectly proportioned out and underneath a nice dark crust. I had to admit, the look of it made my own mouth water.
"You want this Brisket, Leman?" I crooned softly, Leman did not answer. he was staring at the marvelous morsel of meat, his lips smacking as he stared at the work I have done. I gave in, and I gave him an already sliced piece. He lit up, and immediately grabbed it, and shoved it in his mouth. he chewed, and he groaned in delight.
"oh, this is Delicious. a feast fit for us primarchs. Thank you, Faline" He got up and stretched. "I should help Lion organize the visitors of the Park, though." He headed to Lion, quite content with his stolen piece of Brisket, as I continued to prepare the spread. I looked on at the Distance to see Magnus Hang up a sign that said 'Closed for the Eclipse' and I waved at him. he waved back and when I turned I jumped at the sight of Konrad Curze sitting across from me, staring at the food, then at me.
"I seriously need to put a bell on you." I said. He did not answer, his void eyes looking at me, the small white irises shifting as if studying my face. he grinned, and he lifted a hand to the brisket, but I smacked it away. He growled at me, his teeth baring.
"You dare?!" he said but I cut him off.
"Dont put your hands on my brisket. I do not know where your hands have been." He looked down, staring at his hands, as I cut up a nice slab of the seasoned and juicy meat. He perked up watching me.
"How long did it take to make this Slab of meat?"
"12 and a half hours of Smoking in Perturabo's Smoker,"
"And What part of the cow is this morsel?" He pointed to the Mac and Cheese indicating he wanted to try it, and I served him a helping. He stared at the cheese stretching as I placed a good helping on his plate.
"Uh, I believe the chest area, If I remember what I read." I said, then grabbed my plastic Tongs then gave him some salad greens and then placed the plate in front of him. Konrad stared as the plate was given to him, and he stared up at me.
"You would know I poisoned it, Konrad. You have future sight. Not to mention you are immune to poisons. why are you hesitating." He squinted his eyes, and then rolled them.
"You are just being too nice," he replied. I sighed
"Okay, You have been here how long? You attacked and almost killed me, got locked in the basement by Lion, came back, I managed to talk to you about your plights, and your insecurities, you almost killed the Mayor, got locked in the basement, helped me smuggle Angron to the Hospital. If anything, we have been through a lot together. and you are questioning that I am being too nice? I made this picnic for the Eclipse event, and I intend to feed you all."
"hmm." he answered, taking fork and then placing the Mac and Cheese in his mouth. He chewed, and his eyes widened. I can tell it had to do with the food. My face turned slightly smug, seeing his face of pure delight, as his eating was faster. Leman and Lion came to my table, and I went to greet them when Lion turned his eyes at Konrad, who was gorging himself in his plate.
"Is he bothering you?" He said and Konrad looked up at Lion, a bit of pasta on his lip as he glared back at the Primarch. I looked over.
"Nope, Just eating. Want some?" I got a plate and Leman sat down next to Konrad making him growl, but Leman growled back. Lion silently nodded ignoring the two growling primarchs, and watched me cut some of the Brisket. Lion looked over at his brothers out growling each other, and then he sighed in exasperation.
"Lion, I am concerned we will not be able to see Sanguinius before the Eclipse, I mean, I read his book, so he should be here right?"
"Our arrivals have varied, Faline. you need to be patient." Lion said, assessing the food, ignoring Leman and Konrad glaring at each other. He then spoke up as I watched him silently point to what he wanted.
"Could it be that he has perished, that Sanguinius would not be able to come back?" He asked, keeping up the discussion despite Leman scooting over to Konrad and agitating him. I regarded my head to Konrad.
"That would make no sense, because Konrad and Ferrus got killed, and they came here, unscathed and alive. I mean, Magnus told me Horus would not be coming here at all, and I think it is because the Emperor just deleted his soul."
Lion took a Fork and He noticed Leman and Konrad Still Growling like Dogs at each other. His eyes rolled then he spoke out at the both of them in Older Brother Fashion.
"We are Primarchs, not rabid animals! Some more than others." he stated tersely.
"Says the Primarch who lived in the forests most his childhood." Konrad quipped. I did not say anything, just smiling as I spooned some Mac and Cheese for Leman now.
"You wish to speak of my upbringing, when your own upbringing was wandering the streets of Nostramo like a rat." Leman laughed Heartily until I moved the plate to Russ.
"no.. no.. No." I said, Putting a healthy portion of Brisket on Leman's plate. "We are watching the moon block the sun and temporarily give us darkness in a once in a Lifetime event. We are not having tension and fights right now. Eat my food, Drink the Alcohol in my icebox before Leman does and Shut up."
"Alcohol? Give me one before Leman drinks it."
I heard a Familiar voice, and immediately perked up seeing The Kahn come up, Biker Jacket on, and his hair in a Man Bun.
"Kahn!" I exclaimed moving up and Hugging him. He chuckled, returning my hug and he looked over at the spread I had.
"Well, I am glad I arrived for the Eclipse, good drink and Better food?" He sat down across from Konrad who was Staring at the White Scars Primarch before continuing his meal. The time seemed to move faster now, with Selleton getting more and more people coming in, some Claiming a Spot in the park for their own Picnic, some Children throwing Frisbees, and even the Primarchs having their own spots near the Picnic Table. Perturabo finally set up his Telescope, and he was adjusting and Focusing the lens to the Sun, as I stared at him. I remembered the kiss we shared, I remembered the way he melted when I told him how I felt about him. He was so damaged from being used that the one person that gave him Affection he clung to? I heard a Grunt, and Angron was Sitting at the Table with Jaghatai.
"Angron, you look different. You Have Substantially less nails." The Kahn observed as Angron looked up seeing Oliver joining him. Angron and Kahn fist bumped, and Kahn smiled, I assumed he was quite happy Angron was not a Suffering Screaming mess. Oliver sat down grabbing a Plate and I took it getting him his meal
"Yes, big Bad Angron here got some Surgery and he has less Nails in his head. Sure it still hurts but we are making great Progress. I am Oliver, Faline's brother and Angron's nurse." Holding out his hand to the Kahn
Jaghatai rose an eyebrow and he took Oliver's hand and shook it.
"I am Jaghatai Kahn. Primarch of the White Scars. You are quite vibrant for a nurse."
"Look good, Feel good, honey." He grinned, his eyes shut showing off his red eyeshadow. Jaghatai laughed as I placed three plates down by Oliver, Angron and the Khan.
"Oooh,is that Mom's Mac and Cheese recipe? Yaaas, I have been wanting to try this since she got the ingredients yesterday!" He bounced and Kahn took his own bite and he sighed in gratitude. Oliver immediately spooned his helping and he ate, as Angron tasted the brisket, I smiled, then turned back seeing Perturabo and Magnus Talking, focusing the Telescope still. I can already feel a hint of cold as the moon was moving closer.
"Ooh you can tell the Eclipse is going to happen soon." Oliver pointed. "Its getting less bright." I did not Answer, seeing Perturabo now Alone as Magnus walked to me, and I went to serve him some food, and He waved, declining it for now. I looked slightly confused until he pointed.
"You should give some to Perturabo." Magnus suggested, and Oliver giggled, and then looked at The Kahn.
"Her and Perturabo were sitting in a Tree, K-i-s-s-i-n-g." Oliver taunted and Kahn laughed, I glared at my brother.
"Oh shut up."
"Hey, its okay, it is a brother's purpose to tease." Fulgrim walked over as Magnus took over the Brisket and Mac and Cheese Serving. I shook my head taking a plate and walking away from the table. They were being civilized at least, eating the food and Getting Alcohol before Leman got to all of it. Every step closer, I noticed Perturabo looking up and then continuing his focus on the telescope.
"I am sure you are going to ask why I am not near the table. I have already measured the optimal space for this telescope to be here to be able to get the best results for—" He Stopped, noticing the plate of food and I held it out, but he finished up his speech before he took the plate.
"The Best results for a project I am designing, this telescope is not only observing the eclipse, but also capturing the stills for record keeping purposes." He turned his laptop to show the results, beautifully captured and focused moments of the eclipse and a live reel of the moon moving.
"that is amazing actually. I can tell you are in a good mood too." I said, still staring at the monitor. He grunted and took a bite of his brisket and he stared at it, as if it was something he discovered. He took another bite, but he was silent.
"Has any wayward children tried to ask to see." I asked him, he scoffed looking out at the running children and conversing adults in the distance of the park.
"They are too scared to ask. I prefer it that way." Perturabo said, finishing his food and I looked at him with a raised eyebrow and he looked back at me. placing his plate on the table.
"What?"
"You like the food?"
"It was adequate." I stared at him with a hint of annoyance.
"Your telescope is adequate." He squinted his eyes.
"You offend my work with the word adequate?"
"You offend my food with the word Adequate." I sassily bobbed my head, and he huffed.
"Damn you, woman, and throwing my words back at me." I chuckled, my head now on his shoulder. he made no move to shrug it off, instead he just stayed there, his arms crossed.
"you know" I began, "I was going to be a lawyer. I think the books Konrad stole from me was from my aim to become one." Perturabo looked down at me hearing that.
"Why didn't you? Why the drastic change from Lawyer, to Barista." I admit, I was not ready to tell him the truth on why I could not continue my career path, it was honestly horrible, and there was fighting involved. So I masked it with something comedic.
"I was told if I become a Barista, I will meet a bunch of big superhuman men lab grown by another powerful man." He chuckled, a noise I have not heard from him genuinely. Magnus might have heard this noise, but I sure did not." I looked up at him his face was still stoic, but suddenly, I felt his arm around my shoulder and I moved more in his embrace
"You are ridiculous, Faline." he stated, a deep voice that sounded.. content. This felt nice, actually, despite his iron will, and his harsh honesty, he seemed softer around me. the Town was getting colder, darker, and I happened to notice Rogal Dorn, and Corvus moving to get some of my food, along with Lorgar. and it seemed like they were not doing anything too hostile just yet. They seemed to gather, enjoy the food and move back to their spots to watch the eclipse, most of them already had their glasses on. It wasn't until Perturabo leaned forward and he looked at the computer.
"It is almost time." I took out my eclipse glasses, and then I looked up, shielding my eyes, as Perturabo was recording the event. I can hear the children screaming and cheering, and I noticed the others looking up, all wearing the glasses. The event was beautiful, the moon slowly moving, the sky darkening and the entire town of Selleton stopping and watching as the Eclipse finally reached full totality. It was then we were all enveloped by full darkness. The people cheered as the glasses were removed and the Sun was fully blocked. I felt Perturabo's arm move me closer, and I smiled, looking at him, then back at the eclipse. This was an amazing time, and once in a lifetime. Our silence ended as Perturabo suddenly darted his glance at Magnus in the distance. Magnus looked slightly disoriented, a bit more than usual. I watched him shaking his head.
"Magnus sensed something." I said, and we got up and we ran to him and he immediately spoke up.
"Strong psychic presence." Magnus looked up, and I immediately looked around. Magnus was the one who can sense Primarchs coming, so we immediately looked around for Sanguinius. We did not see anything, until Oliver called out to everyone, pointing up at the eclipse.
"Uh, guys.. what is that?" We all looked up noticing just at the edge of the eclipse, there was something falling fast towards the town of Selleton. I gasped, and Immediately the People of the Park started to scream, seeing the falling object, all of them scattering and panicking. children crying as chaos ensued. Lion and Leman immediately ran to the park, getting them more organized.
"MOVE!! MOVE!!" Lion yelled, his voice echoing across the park, Leman running with him to wrangle the evacuating and screaming civilians scattering. Angron got up, and he ran with them to get those scared to move and get to their cars,
"Is there a way to stop that, Magnus?" I said, the Kahn running to the park to help the Primarchs evacuate the park. Magnus looked up at the falling object. He blinked once then he looked back down at me.
"It isnt an Asteroid. It's Sanguinius himself, He's headed to the lake." I ran to the edge of the Park and then cupped my hands to Lion.
"GET EVERYONE AWAY FROM THE LAKE! HE IS FALLING THERE!" I yelled, Corvus jumping over me to join in the gathering. Lion Turned his head wondering why I said he instead of it, but he made a half nod then he joined Leman, Angron and Corvus. Rogal Dorn joined as we moved to the town part, by the time we were running around, the eclipse was over. but the entire town was in full chaos. Sanguinius finally Reached the Town, and Like Magnus said, he Slammed into the Large Lake in the Park, water Splashing everywhere, causing everyone to scream as lake water fell upon the town like rain.
"Leman, To the Lake, now!" Lion ran up to it, removing his shirt, and kicking off his boots. Leman followed suit, their shirts now on the grass, as they both jumped in the lake, swimming to the center where Sanguinius fell. I, Oliver, and the rest of the Primarchs ran to the lake as Lion and Leman emerged from underwater, holding the arms of their unconscious brother, behind them was a pair of wings, massive and limp behind Sanguinius, golden blonde hair wet and clinging to his face. Lion gently cradled Sanguinius, then gently placed him on the ground, putting him to the side, and moved back. We all moved back, to see Sanguinius still unconscious upon the ground. Lion pointed to Oliver and he spoke up directly.
"Oliver, examine his vitals." His tone was authoritative, as if carrying out militaristic Orders. Oliver usually would be playful and ask for the word please, but he seemed to be in full serious mode, and walked to Sanguinius, staring at him, and knelt examining his body.
"Why does this man have wings on his back?" He asked, and I shook my head, as Oliver picked up Sanguinius' arm and put two fingers to his wrist. There was silence at first until Oliver spoke up
"I feel a double Pulse. he is alive." I dropped my jaw, and I went to speak when a group of people tried to move closer with their phones out. and Dorn turned to get them to back up. Fulgrim and Ferrus joined as well, as I spoke up again.
"Wait, can you check for any of these injuries? Pierced lung, broken wing…" I tried to remember the injuries Sanguinius sustained during his final fight with Horus. Oliver stared at me like i was stupid.
"I would if I had my Medical Bag, Faline, but I do not." He said bobbing his head sassily, then getting up when Lion went to pick up Sanguinius gently
"Oliver, you can get your medical Supplies, in the meantime, we will take him to the Cabin and—"
Before Lion finished, Lion immediately was Punched in the jaw, and the wings sprung to life Sanguinius coming up from the ground and roaring in rage, his teeth bared, and his eyes a blood red, his hair changing to the same hue.
"YOU WILL DIE HORUS!!!" He snarled in Fury, and Lion recovered, getting up and he pointed.
"Restrain him." Lion yelled as Sanguinius charged at Lion His wings fluttering as He went to attack the First. Angron Ran up and Used his body to spear Sanguinius in the abdomen, grabbing his hips and knocking him down. Sanguinius Clasped his hands together and pounded Angron's Shoulders, but Angron snarled back Trying to keep him down, Sanguinius kept punching Angron, Which angered him more, Angron grabbing his fists and then redirecting them to the angel, and held him in a submission.
"HORUS!!!" He yelled, flailing. Feathers were falling, Angron holding his shoulders, and then finaly locking his legs around Sanguinius' Waist, and holding him down.
"Snap out of it, brother." Lion yelled, and Sanguinius Chomped on Angron's Flesh, his forearm bleeding from Sanguinius' bite. Angron roared in pain, as Sanguinius held his teeth in his flesh.
"Sanguinius, come to. Please, its us." Dorn yelled, and Sanguinius looked at Dorn his breathing slowing, his bite less intense as he stared at Dorn's face, the face of the Imperial Fists Primarch.
"Dorn?" he spoke, then Angron loosened his grip on his submission. "Where is Horus? Where is he?"
"Horus is gone," I called out, and Sanguinius looked at me, confused at my presence, and the way his brothers are lined up.
"I… I.." He stammered, and Angron let him go, Crawling away, and holding his own head, as he tried to recover from the exertion of the fight. Sanguinius sat up, his wings folding behind his back as he tried to remember what happened.
"I was upon the Vengeful Spirit. I was.. I was fighting Horus. He.." He tried to recall what he remembered, touching his ribs, and then his face, trying to see if this was real. If he was alive. He was real. He was here, in Selleton. No longer drowning in his own blood. He looked at everyone, and as soon as Lion helped him up, he broke down crying, his red hair changing back, Lion guided him to the Cabin, Dorn and Ferrus still blocking the towns people trying to take pictures of the Angel man falling from the sky. I watched as Sanguinius was in distress from all that has happened, his tears falling on the grass as they disappeared to the cabin. I looked at Dorn and he looked back down at me.
We were not sure when he will ever be ready. All of us crammed in the Cabin, Sanguinius in the other room, crying, and sobbing still and all we are doing is just sitting there, hearing his agony. Lorgar was listening to this, and I noticed he was moving to the Door.
"Lorgar? where are you going." I asked him, and Lorgar turned his head.
"I…I need some air, please, let me be, and let me know what happens." He walked out the door and Perturabo scoffed.
"Typical. having to leave. still the cowardly weak one." He let out, as Magnus shook his head.
"No, Lorgar is now feeling the gravity of what he caused hearing Sanguinius' sorrow. I guess becoming the First Heretic, is now taking a toll to his own morals."
"What morals? Where were they when he turned me to chaos?" Angron spat out. "Where were they when his legion turned Horus to the champion. He knew what he was doing, he knew what he wanted. He can not feel bad about it now." He growled, as Lion closed his eyes, hearing everyone talk.
"It is normal to finally realize what was done, Angron. Lorgar now realizes the pain he caused, by hearing Sanguinius and that is actually a good thing."
"It is hard to fully see what you have done, and the pain that you caused. but it is worth it." Fulgrim spoke, but Angron rolled his eyes.
"Until I can see through his actions not his words that he realizes his sins, I am not buying it. He lied to me once, I am not trusting him at all." Angron finally growled.
"and what of the pain you caused your sons. the World Eaters? You turned a good legion into savage berserkers all because you were one." Leman pointed and Angron snapped his gaze.
"What do you want me to do in this present situation to fix what I have done to my Legion?! They are NOT here, you idiot."
"Call me an Idiot again, See what happens" Leman growled.
"YOU IDIOT!" Angron responded, but Fulgrim and Dorn held back Leman.
"Fighting each other is NOT going to solve anything. Have some Decorum." Fulgrim pointed, then wiped his hand on some cloth as if he got some dirt on him from touching Leman. Leman took offense to that and snorted.
"awww, is pretty boy afraid of a little cooties from the Wolf King?!"
"What are we, children? please. I do not know when the last time you bathed, that is all." I groaned until the Kahn shifted in his seat.
"Has this been going on since I have been gone? tension? fighting? and even bickering?" He asked, and Lion nodded, as if ashamed.
"yes. ever since Lorgar and Corvus came to town, we have been at each other's throats more than usual." Jaghatai sighed, then he looked at the room where Sanguinius rested, and there was silence. no sob, or cry of lament. He was silent.
"Faline, You want to go in there, and see if he is okay? I will talk to my brothers." I sighed getting up, and then preparing myself.
"I can try, but I do not know how to handle Sanguinius when he is still in grief. He came here as soon as Horus killed him." I walked into the room, knocking twice and entered, On the bed, was Sanguinius, sitting up, his head bowed and his hair no longer golden, it was instead so dark and dreary, it made me think of Curze immediately. his wings were folded and behind him. Oliver joined in and he smiled.
"I am helping. They are talking to each other in there." He whispered, and Sanguinius turned to us both, seeing us watching him here.
"Hello." I said, not sure what to say, Sanguinius looked at us both and he shifted, his body turning to us.
"Hello. you are friendly faces. I am not sure I got your names amongst the commotion." the Angel spoke, his voice deep, yet gentle. Oliver blushed and he pushed me further.
"I know I was not my best when you first saw me. I…" He paused slightly looking around and his eyes focused on my Dumbo plush on the bed. I was looking all over for that. I must have left it when I was taken here during my dream with Magnus. "I was under the impression I was still fighting my brother."
"Horus." I said, and he nodded. Oliver finally spoke up
"I know this is weird, but, can I feel your wings? are they real." Sanguinius looked curiously at Oliver and he unfurled a single wing, only for Oliver giggling and feeling the feathers. "its so sooooft!" He sighed, making Sanguinius chuckle.
"I thought you would feel them when you examined me, nurse."
"Oliver aside, I take it you have so many questions and so confused on what happened." He nodded silently, his wing retreated now as Oliver stopped his petting. It was amazing to have a literal Angel in the Cabin. Sanguinius nodded his head, his hair changing before our very eyes, as he was calmer and speaking to us both.
"What is this place and Why are my other brothers here?" He asked and I sat down, Holding my Dumbo Plush and Oliver moved to a chair.
"well, I was donated your Books, by the Emperor, and each of them are capable of bringing a primarch here. The only message i was given was "Give them a new perspective" that is it. no other explanation." Sanguinius kept listening, his eyes focused on mine, and he looked out at the door, where he can hear his brothers speaking to each other.
"Is.. Is Horus here?" He said, and I shook my head.
"Magnus concluded he is the only primarch to not be able to come here, due to the fact the emperor Destroyed him.
"I thought so." He looked at the Dumbo plush and I handed it to him, and he held it, squeezing it softly, and he lowered his head.
"I am slightly calmer, and I need more time to rest. I.." He did not finish his statement and Oliver spoke up predicting what was wrong.
"Is it because you died, and You have gone through something traumatic like the betrayal of your brother, dying by his own hand, and are now alive in a new place, and trying to still collect your thoughts about everything you did not foresee?" I stared at Oliver and Sanguinius widened his eyes slightly and he nodded gently.
"uh, yes. that… that is accurate, medicae."
"Oh Please, you can call me Oliver. I have a knack for reading behaviors. I wanted to be a Therapist at one point." He waved, and bent his hand beaming at him.
"That still seemed to be a bit more than just reading his behavior. that seemed on the nose." I said to Oliver, his eyes opening and he shifted his eyes.
"Okay, okay, I looked up Sanguinius on the internet, happy?" He rolled his eyes. "And I might have taken your Sanguinius book from your house." I exhaled "you need to Stop taking my stuff from my Apartment!"
"I Did NOT take it. I borrowed it. Much like those pajama booty shorts. Can't have you wearing those in front of Perturabo." He darted out the door.
"DAMMIT OLIVER!" Sanguinius was laughing, a lilting noise, that sounded like it was flawless, as I looked over at his now jovial face.
"Pardon me, but What a dynamic between you and your brother." He complimented as the door remained open, the other Primarchs looking in.
"Sanguinius? Are you well, Brother." Dorn asked through the door. I got up, and Sanguinius followed suit, placing the plush back down upon the bed, He walked out with me, having to lean down the door slightly to fit through the opening, and he got in Lion passing Sanguinius some clothing. The Angel took it and he nodded looking at every primarch save Lorgar in the area. I can tell he was not used to this. The last thing he remembered was fighting most of his brother's legions. He closed his eyes again.
"Excuse me, but, give me time. please. this.. is still so much. I expected to be dead. Only to be here again among my brothers." Dorn's hand clapped Sanguinius shoulder and Sanguinius' wings furled, moving at the gesture.
"It takes a lot for us to get used to, Brother." Magnus said but he pointed at me. all eyes fell on me, and Immediately I looked at every primarch except for the absent Lorgar.
"However, I think you will find your new guide, comes in a small package, and she has indeed done well, in spite of all she has faced and endured due to us." Sanguinius casted his look at me, and his wings gently unfurled. I looked back, and I rose from my seat.
"You managed to bring my brothers together like this?" He asked.
"It was not easy, but I know, once you all are here. It will be worth it."
And With that Sangy is here in Selleton! Now that he is here, I feel like with the last primarchs that need to come it will flow easily. We are actually kinda close to the End, and honestly, I am looking forward to it, not in a bad sense, but more in a I am glad I wrote it and I am glad it generated so much fans. There will be more Fanfictions for me to work on, and I do have some Primarchs of Selleton One Shots I hope to add in the fray, now that this chapter is released so keep an eye on that.
By the way. Faline, might be able to have a way to reach the Emperor, I am not sure entirely. but maaayyybeeee...

This will be shorter than the other previews, due to the Fact I did not wish to Spoil a lot of major parts of this chapter.
"Corvus has been around actually, invisible and observing the town, If I remember right, he is staying with Lion and Leman at the time being, but I did happen to sense him watching the whole altercation just at the border of the park grounds." Magnus said waving nonchalantly, as if I was supposed to see him as well.
"Of course I did." Lorgar confirmed "and obviously, this place is my own personal hell. to be watching my own back to make sure the other Primarchs do not attack me due to my own Transgressions, all while being blind to their own.
What if Lorgar was SUPPOSED to be the first Primarch to come here in Selleton, instead of Lion.
I thank you for the temporary reprieve, but I did happen to see something beyond the park, a graveyard with a church. is it available?"
"No, there is a priest that goes there, but Today, he should not be there. Do NOT fuck with the graves there."
"I will not defile the dead, I am not a monster." He said, as he walked out, and continued toward the park.

So uh...when will Roboute show up in Selleton? Or did I miss him?
Faline finally decided to go back into Legion Order. Magnus said Surprise im coming. then a lot of stuff happened. But yeah, Roboute will be showing up After Sangy. I think I need to review the legion Order.
*Me looking to all the fics written for the great angel*: fine, I'll join in.
Bare with me, I've only started to get into Warhammer and this is all new to me. I read Echoes of Eternity and now, I need more of the Angel.
Warnings: piercing skin, blood drinking/licking, praise kink, NSFW but no sex
"Are you certain?"
You cannot help but feel the warmth that has settled between your thighs, head swimming with lewd thoughts the longer you stare down the long, chiselled body of your lover.
The Angel is huge in size, towering over you even whilst he is sat; clear, unblemished skin glows in the candlelight, his long blond hair is swept over his shoulder. He looks like the spitting image of the biblical angels spoken of: an otherworldly, divine being. Yet, there is an eeriness hidden in his sky-blue eyes. They appear to you sometimes blue, other times, the blue bleed into a carmine hue, and a hunger lurks just below the surface.
There are few who see Sanguinius like this, and you're left feeling warm under his heavy gaze.
You trust Sanguinius with your entire life: the way he cradles you in his much larger hands, his swan-white wings cover you both from all. There is a chill on the Red Tear this evening, and though you know you would be kept warm and protected in the Angel's arms, you still feel the prick of a chill across your skin, pebbling with excitement.
"I trust you, my lord," you say, leaning up to run a hand to sweep his hair back, the hair feels like silk in your fingertips. He leans over you, into your touch, his eyes blinking slowly. You marvel at the ways he is different to you, the smallest of details that tell you he is much more than a man, but to others, a living vision of a God.
His serious, focused eyes continue to drink you in, a reddish hue have now bled with the blue as he carefully looks you over.
"I do not want to hurt you, my little dove," he begins, but the words still as your hand trails over his cock, thick in girth, already leaking with precum.
He sighs heavenly, his eyes trying hard not to squeeze tight.
His cock feels heavy in your hand, barely is one able to wrap around his girth, yet your mouth waters as if you're the one with fangs.
"I know you wouldn't hurt me," you coo at him, baring your nakedness to him under silk robes, your excitement grows more and more with the moans that come from him. "I want this."
You continue to touch his cock to hardness, toying with him as he whines low in his throat. He looks divine like this: skin glowing, his abs shudder with your very touch, cock twitching for more.
The Angel is known for his patience, but in this moment, feeling his large hands hold you under your thighs, you're proven mistaken when you're picked up with ease into his lap.
Now facing him, you can feel every part of him, his breath against your skin, his fangs peeking past his parted lips the more he voices his pleasures.
"Tell me when it becomes too much, and I shall stop." It's a declaration from him, and you happily hum him in agreement, shifting in his lap, feeling his cock stir. "My little dove is very coy." He whispers softly.
He leans over you, his lips found your face, kissing every inch of skin: your cheeks, your chin, your forehead, then your lips. You kiss back as eagerly, your lips graze against his fangs and your thighs clench. Sanguinius trailing downwards towards your neck, humming at your pulse point. It's his favourite way of having you squirming. You fall forward, caged into his chest, happy to be in his strong embrace.
Your lover's lips continue, trailing kisses over your bare shoulder, kisses trail from your shoulder, up towards your collarbone, then you feel his teeth graze over the skin of your neck, barely grazing.
"Ready?" He purrs.
You nod, gasping in anticipation. Sanguinius preps your skin more, bolder kisses grow before you feel the sharpest of pains, the Angel pierces your skin into the meat of your shoulder.
Blood fills his mouth, your blood, the sweetness sends him into overdrive. Groaning as he drinks the sweetest of nectar, Sanguinius believes he is unworthy of your touch, your blood, of you.
Your head feels fuzzy, head rolled back and eyes shut, hearing the sucking sounds as your lover drinks from you, swapping between greedily gulping and licking at the small open wound.
"Fuck, Sang-" you try holding him, his broad shoulder suffice. You teeter on the verge of passing out if he continued, but Sanguinius knows your limit, pulling back as he gives one final, long lick of your flesh.
Sweat mixes in the air, heavy with the smell of iron. You blearily look up at the Angel, and your heart thunders at the sight. His mouth is smeared in your blood, smeared at his lips and smudged on his cheeks. His eyes are red as rubies, glowing back at you with such gleam and life, he stares down at you with hunger.
Seconds pass before that hunger in his stare dissolves, red becomes blue, a calm washes over him as he cradles you close to his chest. "My girl," he whispers, kissing your jawline, "My good girl."
Not going anywhere, you collapse into his chest, and Sanguinius happily cuddles you more. When you're just about to let slumber take over, you feel something nudge against your thighs, poking at your entrance.
"My dove, would I be greedy if I partook in the ambrosia between your thighs?"
