Reminds me of all those stories of women with breast cancer coming home to an empty house. I try to see every human as having the same capacity for emotion but....I couldn’t imagine leaving my wife because she got sick, or abandoning her in her time of need or, gods forbid, valuing her specifically for her reproductive capabilities like this. 

There are stories of women with breast cancer coming home to empty houses????? What the fuck, so their husbands just up and left and took everything with them?

In the first half of the post I thought, well he came to the hospital all the way from a conference without knowing what was happening and finding out that your wife has cancer is a lot. It’s reasonable (although still hurtful) to have that harsh a reaction. I’d understand if he left because he needed to process that his wife was really sick. But neigh. He left because he’s angry at his wife for not having children earlier when she wasn’t prepared for it and that she won’t be able to carry his kids. He cares that her appearance will change and that he “carefree attitude” will disappear. This man’s love is conditional on his wife’s appearance, attitude (that she should be carefree all the time), and ability to reproduce. That’s some uncaring misogynistic garbage.

Once you start to notice how frequently these double standards are applied in all fields it's difficult to ignore.

The only celebrity drama I want to know about is the latest way Stuart Semple has roasted Anish Kapoor. Everything else is dumb and none of my business, but the second that pretentious asshole bought Vantablack and said no one else could use it, it became everyone’s business. Stuart Semple has my love and support.

i can’t believe we’re doing zutara in 2020 aren’t we educated now? aren’t we adults? i mean i can’t believe we were doing it in 2008 either but at least then we had the excuse of being like…. ten years old… smh

sure makorra was diet zutara but at least korra and mako held some modicum of affection for each other before literally the last four episodes of the show. really makes you think.

if i google “heterosexual couple”, print off the first gettyimages result that pops up as a cardboard cut out, then prop it up in my local dump to get picked apart by woodlice and swamphens over the next month, it’ll still have more romantic chemistry that zutara has in one hair loopy. it baffles me to no end that you guys, like, went to college and stuff and you’re still sitting here writing manifestos about a couple that exchange like ten lines of positive dialogue with each other in that whole thing. just ship mai and ty lee like a normal person.

Had a moment when I thought you were talking about Zuko and Catra as a ship and I went batshit for a second ngl.
