So we all know the scene where Loki tries to use the scepter on Tony and it doesn’t work, right?

Hear me out: What if it did work?

We all know the Scepter itself isn’t anything more than a stick with a pointy end and the Mind Stone inside is what gives it any power.

We also all know that the Infinity Stones all have minds of their own and can disobey their wielders as they see fit.

So, the Mind Stone has been under Thanos’ control for who knows how long. It knows he’s crazy. But it also knows he’s too strong to be under it’s control for long enough to do any good, so it waits.

It waits until it’s given to Loki.

Loki is, according to official Marvel press releases, under the control of both Ebony Maw and the Mind Stone. He’s being puppeteered to do all this.

And the Mind Stone can’t use someone who’s been so broken. Loki was tortured and then mind-controlled, and it needs someone who is cocky and stubborn and… not self-assured, but spiteful in the face of their assured destruction.

So it continues to bide it’s time. It obeys Thanos and follows the plan.

Until Loki tries to use Tony.

Remember: The Mind Stone is able to read people. It knows things and it knows people down to their very core.

We all know that Tony is the Red King to Thanos’ Black King in the Chess match that is Infinity War/Endgame. They’re polar opposites, Yin and Yang, two sides of the coin.

In Infinity War, Cap (an enhanced super-soldier) gets the crap kicked out of him within seconds, but Tony (a, supposedly, completely average and middle-aged human) is in a destroyed suit and still doesn’t stop until after he’s been impaled.

The Mind Stone knew that Tony had the exact same inflexible disposition as Thanos, but he had the opposite moral standing.

Thanos was willing to kill who he had to to save who he could. (Or so he said)

Tony wants to save everyone and is willing to die himself to accomplish that.

Okay, back to the Avengers.

Loki pokes him with the stick, the Mind Stone reads Tony and goes, “Oh, this is it. This is my chance.”

And it does it. It works.

After the battle, after everything, everyone knows that aliens are real. They know that some of them are violent and out to destroy humanity.

And yet, the only person on the planet who is actually doing something in preparation… Is Tony.

The only person on a planet of over seven billion (that’s 7,000,000,000) people that is obsessed with preparing for when, not if but when, the “bad guys” come back is Tony.

You’d think that if anyone would be preparing, it would Nick Fury, but he’s not even worried. He’s focused on human problems.

And everyone continues to look at Tony as if he’s lost his mind, as if he’s just paranoid every time he brings it up.

Architecture Students Reimagine Harry Potter 

Students of a 12 day course at the Melbourne School of Design were not sorted into houses, but they were assigned Gringotts Bank, Grimmauld Place, the Shrieking Shack and other fan favorites in the Harry Potter universe. their Harry Potter architecture models were laser cut from cardboard (ten house points), hand-modeled (forty house points), constructed in very little time (fifty points), and remind us of the truest magic of all (teamwork).

Students at the Melbourne School of Design had very few spells to work with in order to cast these gorgeously film-accurate 3D models. Students were given 1.0 mm and 0.6 mm boxboard to create their models from. They used trace paper — for windows and diffused lights — and LED lights and motors connected to Arduinos.
