Endo's particular depiction of neurodivergence in wind breaker is so amusing to me, especially combined with his obsessive tendencies. It’s a fairly familiar combination of autism+maybe adhd+burnt out gifted kid… but like. He burns out so early in life and he’s still a child when the world starts looking dull and grey and he’s just about accepted this boring path for himself and then.

AND THEN. Enter takiishi with his fire coloured hair and bloody hands and his ass way on top of a flimsy metal structure and it’s just so instantly captivating and different that Endo basically had no choice but to get violently pulled into his orbit. Unsurprising, considering he’s been waiting to feel something, anything and this weird kid just checks all the boxes. Then he finds that he’ll always be held at arms length and that chika barely registers his presence so a singular word of response feels like a waterfall of validation.

The curiosity turns into an adoration turns into an obsession turns into a hyperfixation turns into a special interest and he’s willing to do just about anything at all to get a look, a reaction, a right hook to the face and he drinks it all up because the twisted validation is so rare and unpredictable that every time it comes his way it feels like a fresh dose of dopamine straight into his brain.

And then he meets another new shiny toy that piques his interest again and it scratches his brain jusssst right. And Endo is absolutely not normal about Sakura almost instantly because wdym this guy with the interesting hair and the interesting eyes and the rage of a thousand suns has directed his laser focused attention on me and- oh, oh. This feels familiar to him, it feels entirely new to him. He’s compelled immediately, obsessed immediately, needs to have more, know more immediately and he does not learn a single lesson. He’s very aware of but pays no heed to the possibility that he’ll be tossed around and dismissed again, admits he chases things he can’t have. But then again, what better way to set fireworks exploding inside your brain huh.

I was wondering how would daybit compete with any rivals he might have? And who do you think would be the rival? Im thinking Kirschtaria Wodime just because both of them are quite strong (also mentioned that they are the most capable in Chaldea i believe) but what do you think? I just thought it would be an interesting interaction

Daybit is a lot gentler than his face makes him look. When he's allowed to be a normal person and not in the Lostbelts he's a lot more chill. Depending on who said rival is.

While Daybit likes killing people, he won't do it willy nilly since he's smart enough to know that he can't get away with that in Chaldea. He's probably one of the only non-servant yanderes to use his beloved as an excuse to kill someone. Olga can't argue with it if he did it in defense of someone else. Plus, it'll be the least of her problems in the future.

He respects Wodime enough not immediately kill him but to give him a stern warning. Thankfully, Wodime is the kind of person who will back down if he is interested and help his friend out. He wants Daybit to be happy, so now he's a wingman! Mission failed successfully, but at least he doesn't have to harm someone he respects.

Most of Team A is safe from his attempts to find an excuse to kill someone. They either don't care about romance, have someone else they're in love with, or understand to leave even if they see something is wrong. 

Then there's Beryl. A yandere Daybit is a Daybit that changes the course of the story a bit. Keeping tabs on rivals and any threats to the person he's courting and Beryl is number 1 on the hit list. He's written down the things he's heard him do and there's no reason for him not want to kill him.

While Beryl isn't dumb, no one really expects him to actually kill someone. So, when Beryl goes too far, so does Daybit. Injuring him or killing him is a turning point for the story and Chaldea. It's one of his core memories now.

Outside of Chaldea, I can't see his plan during his Lostbelt changing much. The only big difference is wanting to give them the best final days of your life.

If they're not the master or Chaldea fails to keep them safe, and they're dead. He speeds up his plans, he already wants to end the world before the world becomes an enemy.

Altogether, over a billion people now live somewhere that same-sex marriage is legal. Twenty-five years ago, that number was zero.

Things are hard right now, but in so many ways they are so much better than they have been for a very, very long time.
