Sharing isn't caring when it comes to makeup. Lending of a mascara, gloss or lipstick can result in eye infections or a nasty cold sore.
Brushes should be deep cleaned once a week and spot clean after each use. It removes bacteria and keeps bristles soft.
Ask for disposable makeup applicator when testing makeup at a counter. Ensure the makeup is clean.
Store makeup in a dark, cool place away from direct sunlight. If any product you use changes color, texture or smell, ditch it.
Using expired makeup is a big beauty no. Generally you should toss nail-polish, Powder, blushes, compacts, bronzers and eye-shadows in 2 years, cream foundation 1 year, lipstick 1 year, liquid eye-shadows 1 year, Mascara & liquid liner 3 months, once open.
Before use wipe off top layer of lipstick, scrape off powder cake, sharpen pencils to a fresh point.
