the thing about recovery is that you need to actively choose it.. even and especially when you relapse, you need to start again, over and over and over, as many times as needed. just know that by choosing recovery you’re on your way to something brighter, bolder and better. i love you.

As someone who automatically dismisses emotions in childhood, this is a period of my life where it's my first time to savor my emotions as it is . It might take me a week or weeks, but who cares? I might stare on a ceiling for so long because of a paralyzing fear, but who cares? I have not been doing this for so long when I was a child. I was deprive of it! I will be sad because I am sad! I will be frustrated because I am frustrated! I will be angry because I am angry! I will allow myself to be a human because I am a human! No excuses.

Even Jesus let someone help him carry his cross, you know
