Community Phone Default Replacement

I've been hesitant about sharing this as it's a bit fiddly to use. But this default has made my co-existence with community phones a lot more painless, so maybe it'll help some fellow simmer who doesn't mind using cheats.

This default removes the cover and the stand of the community phone completely, leaving only the phone box (previewed on the middle). Handy for placing it against a wall.

The fiddly part is:

You'll need cheats to use this default efficiently. It's easiest to place the phone against a wall with moveobjects + quarter tile placement on. The box will sink into the wall a bit, but won't show from the other side and is still fully usable.

And you can only move the phone from its handle. It's annoying but afaik can't be fixed as editing the bounding mesh of this thing crashes the game.

Since not all community lots have walls to attach the phone to, I made a custom version of CrabOfDoom's community phone booth (previewed on the right) that can be used together with this default. It's repositioned to the in-game community phone booth and will pull any recolors you have for it. For the variety, I also added a recolor that has the stand only (previewed on the left).

More fiddliness: you'll first need to place the booth and only after that move the phone at its place.

Download (SFS) (alternate) - files are compressed. The booth is located under Electronic / Misc for free.

I recommend using this default together with this edit by @dramallamadingdang which removes the phone booth from the neighborhood view. The texture default shown in the preview is this pretty one by @shastakiss.

This is a second edit of HB's Wannabe Moodlets.

With this mod, Sims will have more variable moods based on traits.

HB's original Mod:

Grumpy Sims have a lower overall Mood. Over-Emotional have more variable moods. Loners are happier when they are alone. Loves the Heat loves hot temperature, Loves the Cold loves Cold temperature.

Hates the Outdoors get a mood drop from being outside, and Loves the Outdoors get a mood boost from being outside.

Night Owls are happier at night.

MY EDITS

Dislikes Children will have a mood drop around children.

Neurotic have a generally lower mood.

Excitable have generally higher moods

Dog Person have mood boosts around dogs, Cat Person have mood boosts around cats,

WHATS NEW

Adventurous Sims have a mood boost while in a vacation hood.

Technophobes take a mood penalty from being in a room with a working television.

And as anonymously requested, Slobs have a mood boost if their environment and/or hygiene is low (doesn't affect PlantSims). This will help Slobs stop being in such a bad mood.

TUNING

You can easily tune this mod with the BCON "Mood Change from Traits"

Each boost or penalty is coded for in this BCON. If your Slobs are still miserable, or your technophobes are too miserable, just open this BCON and change the respective penalties or boosts to what you like.

I HIGHLY recommend this Catalog Cleanup Mod by Phaenoh:

I can't imagine trying to find things in the vanilla Maxis catalog. They really threw every single thing into Deco/Sculptures or Deco/Misc and called it a day.

I'm working on my own Cleanup mod of the build/buy catalog and I'll show visual comparisons between my mod and Phaenoh's once mine is done so that people can decide which one they want to download (or if they want to to stick to maxis' chaotic organization for some reason...)

I've used Phaenoh's mod for a very long time and I do love it!

More athletic wear for our gals!

This was a one part project that morphed into a two part project.

First, I converted the shorts and used the sneakers which @skittlessims had converted, plus I added socks and pulled in some extra EA swatches for them.

Originally when I made these, I figured they would match the set of tops from the same kit that @applewatersugar had already converted. But when I looked at them side by side, even though both had 12 swatches each, the matches were… not right. Some were nowhere close, and some were almost matching but the exact hues and saturations differed enough between top and bottom to… bother me. Very typical EA bullshit…

So, I tweaked the textures for all the tops so that each one has a much more perfect match to the shorts and you can pair them all. They’re separates so you can mix and match if you like, or matching sets like shown in the screenshot.

Piper’s mesh for the tops is included with thanks, and you can have my recolours and his as well, although for some it could be a bit redundant since a lot of my tops are just slight edits of the EA versions. The numbers of my recolours match for tops and shorts (ie: top 1 matches shorts 1).

TF-AF, all morphs included, and you can repo TF to AF files if you like. Hope you enjoy! :)

Pride Banners! on Uni Fighting Llamas Banner

OK, so basically the point was eyebrows that work on lots of skintones. These have a bump map thanks to Io, and a nice detailed texture thanks to Trapping. Many of the original alphas were edited by yours truly.

Each set comes in seven binned natural colors, one black, one blonde, two browns, two reds and a grey (for elders only). They have their own color actions plus two additional actions for editing the texture and creating the bump map. There’s a lazily-written tutorial and texture PSD included, too.

(Some of these sets are older than others and were included in sim downloads, so you may have some of these files already. Replace them with these new ones, the old ones aren’t binned!)
