Earnest appears to us as the classic poor nerd whom the jocks make fun of for no reason, pretty much making us feel sorry for him, but the more we get into the story the more we realize his actual weird nature. An aspect I saw people rarely talk about him is his "views" on women.

He have that classic mentality in which "ugly men" deserves good looking women due their big brains. In the Candidate & Chapter4, he makes comments about this mentality and how clearly he's jelous of the Jocks having all for themself the prettiest of the girls in the school.

Beatrice does not make an appearance in chapter 4, the focus is entirely on the boys from the clique. This makes me wonder if he did not involve her due to the "fear" of her saying something against him or, simply, perfectly confirming that she does not matter due to her "look".

Here is what I'm trying to say: Earnest Clery "wants" to win a pretty girl's heart due his delusional belief. And, you can guess who the most popular and pretty girl in the school is... Mandy. The concept of defearing the jocks and winning her definitelly comed into his mind.

If we try to talk to Mandy at the start of the game, we get two options actions from her: she kick us and run away for "daring" to speak to her or simply makes fun of us for be "losers". It is easy to guess what she totally did the same thing to other boys, especially the nerds.

But there is another important detail. Angie pretty confirm us that Mandy is actually a sweet girl if we manage to get to know her well, making us realize that she is clearly playing a part due to the "canis canem edit". What if i tell you that Earnest TOTALLY creeped her out?

In "Discretion Assured," I noticed how many pictures presented in the missions are not coming from Jimmy. This makes me think that Earnest definitely stalked her way before our arrival. He simply asks for "more pics" so, if something happens, we get the full blame in the matter.

Bully included a cut mission in which the point was to blame the Jocks for having stolen the "Paddle" from the headmaster. At one point, we ask Ricky to distract Mandy and she, cleary upset, ask the Jocks for help. This made me realize how many times Mandy had guys bothering her.

For get into the focus point, Earnest definitely tried many times to "convince" Mandy to be his and she, understandbly, pushed him off on it. He may have seen it as a way for her "not to want a nerd loser" while clearly it is a matter of her being unsettled by a truly creepy guy.

Earnest decided to "play dirty" by taking and sharing those pictures of her, clearly not due Ted. He could have easily done this to him or worst but didn't as "that was not the point". He was definitely hurt in his ego by the cheerleader so.. he took the opportunity to ruin her.

As who was into a similar matter as Mandy + studied psychology, I can say how cruel men can be towards women who say no. Paparazzi clearly was an ideal of Earnest to make sure Mandy was mocked and undesirable, if he could not have her... no one else will. She's the main joke now.

I'm sure the reason why Mandy likes Johnny is because she sees how protective the man is over Lola yk?? all the comments she makes about him are related to how much he reacts about her and stuff, nd with how uncaring Ted is, and how exposed Mandy thinks she'd be without her status, she'd like to have someone like that with her. I think her crush is based on the way Johnny seems to be so passionate about Lola, literally willing to fight over ten adults for her (the implied Johnny vs the townies fight because of Gary's rumours), and how much she'd like to feel protected like that. She calls him cute, i'm not sure if it's physical (wich could very much be because Johnny is indeed worth looking at) but i like to think she's means his personality cuz she seen the way he behaves when he's in a good mood, or the way he literally depends completely on Lo for that, cuz i believe Mandy would like the idea of holding that much power over someone, a bit confirmed by the whole torturing Beatrice thing

Also maybe she has some affinity to italy? Yk the 'Ciao, spotty!' line? Idk but i actually can't picture them together that much, i think i like it being a one sided crush, bt i wanna know wat you think

She keeps mentioning both Lola and Johnny. I like to think she likes them both but as Lola is a girl she forces herself to react differently even if she thinks about them just as much

Hello, I can answer that! Originally, Mandy and Johnny were supposed to be a "canon thing". During the final chapter, Johnny was supposed to be caught kissing Mandy (and the girls were involved in the fight too, alongside Zoe. Where the "I know what you're like, Mandy! Don't pretend!" scene happens). In some old beta scripts, Johnny was seen as the King of the school, while in girl related documents, Mandy was seen as the queen. This made their "connection" clear. This is why she says "Ciao spotty" at one point in my theory, a quote that remained from this whole unused idea. Besides Rockstar's original idea of having Johnny betray Lola with Mandy, in the canon, I can absolutely imagine the cheerleader looking for someone to protect her, especially considering all the chaos. Like, the files themself cleary show Mandy as just an "object", someone that is an example for others. The students see her as a pretty mean girl with no substance, the nerds as an object to sexualize and "destroy", while the jocks see her as "their" property. Mandy looking at Lola definitely causes jealousy, especially the concept of "how could she do that to a man who clearly loves her". Mandy wants that; she likes the idea of someone treating her like an actual queen who genuinely loves her, regardless of what the school says. This also explains why many ship Mandy with Zoe, the punk girl who stated that she knows the real Mandy, which gives the idea of her being one of the few who are actually fully aware of Mandy's real side. For end the convo, this is actually sad if you think about it. Mandy is clearly a lonely girl who just wants to be genuinely liked by people, but mostly everyone around her, especially adults, has failed in every way. She cleary followed the Canis Canem Edit rules out if survival due her own deep insecurities, something that is truly destroying her as she have eating disorders due issues born of her own image. To end the convo, Bully truly hides many details that deserve to be examined. Mandy is way more than "mean cheerleaders" and I deeply wish people would focus more on her and her issues.
