It's 6 a.m., and i haven't slept, but I've seen people mention how the portal being kept open so any doll can come and go ruins Lou's tragedy and years of suffering, but to be honest, i think it makes it worse. It became a mockery to him. He'd spend everyday hearing about all the loving stories the dolls have with their child. It's better when the dolls couldn't come back because he wouldn't really know how good it truly is out there, but now that he's heard countless of stories about it, I'm sure his anger and resentment is getting bigger and bigger.
It's like how on valentine's day, those who are single prefer not to go outside so they don't see couples being lovey dovey, it's sort of like that
