You've stepped in it now

Sometimes I wish RP was gatekept. Maybe gatekept isn’t quite the correct term but it just feels like you always have to be on your toes, always hyper aware and hyper vigilant of what you say or do. You can’t make a mistake without getting reamed out for like an hour or two and then “cancelled”. (My only example of this was when I accidentally typed ‘her’ on a he/him character during one of my posts. It was genuinely an honest slip up, they used the body type B model, my brain was slop at the time and my emote had the correct pronouns except that one and I didn’t hear the end of it.)

If you’re white you’re the worst person on the entire planet, you don’t even get a chance to show who you are for people to get to know who you are without some kind of prejudice beforehand.

Lord help you if you’re a man just trying to exist in the space or rp without getting chased down by a quick 5 minute rp in Stormwind in passing who thinks you two are a couple now.

You can’t even be open and honest about how you feel about the scene without a ton of people trying to pick it apart and find some hidden meaning in what you’re trying to say when in sincerity you’re just tired.

This little mini rant is probably going to be picked apart too. “Maybe you should look at what YOU’VE done” or “you just sound like a horrible person who deserves the worst in life”

My “rp life” is healthy, I’ve got a really good group of people I love to hang out with but man it took so long to get there. It’s hard to find a bit of kindness in the game sometimes. Everyone ha some hidden agenda and I just miss when rp was fun. When you could make a mistake and people politely correct you and move on. Everything has to be such a grudge it’s just a bummer.

My stomach still hurts too :( it’s just a rough night.
