lim jaebeom 🤝 hong seunghan 🤝 ahn keonho
I'm looking for a post I saw a longgggggggg time ago. Someone was rating how much of a friend a fictional jinn would be I only recognised alizeh but now I wanna see who else was on the list
Wanna watch that new fang duobing drama but not ready to let go of fang duobing. I don't even know that actor's real name, he is just fang duobing to me
rewatching this scene i made myself cry thinking about how xie zheng has never learned how to have fun and how he's initially standing apart but can't help to be drawn in to the joy and warmth
and even in a scene where i'm sure the direction was mostly "have fun, throw snowballs" there are little details like him handing changning a snowball because he's the best jiefu!
this relationship is healing his traumatized inner child and i'm so emotional about it.

head over feet - changyu x xie zheng
the jade found him and he has been falling (in pursuit) ever since
XieWu deserves some extra love, most hardworking character in Pursuit of Jade
Mind you this is the first time someone called her his marchioness
People going on about how Xie Zheng's storyline is put on the backfoot to cater for Chang Yu's (which is ridiculous) when really it's the qimin/qianqian storyline taking up unnecessary space. Like, there was so many instances of telling and not showing with changzheng where I would have preferred being told qimin/qianqian's story instead of watching. It's unnecessary to show an abusive relationship that ends up being romanticised.
I was so happy about Chang Yu calling out Yan Zheng when he forcefully kissed her, but now we have to watch Qianqian put aside her pride to appease a madman and see people shipping them. I know she's trying to help Chang Yu. I appreciate and love her for it. But I cannot stand Qimin. Like, the two actors are already filming their own drama. People can go watch them there and ship them without anyone calling them out. Zhuyu is for changzheng.
Man the way they ended with qm/qq AGAIN. WHY do they get so much screentime??? It makes NO sense.
It's not just that they get more screentime than expected, it's the type of scenes we get.
I read the novel a while back and I enjoyed the drama adaptation. I like the changes that were made to Xie Zheng. I feel like his character was more mature than in the novel. While, her fight scenes were great (I was holding my breath watching her), I think we could've seen a better general arc for Chang Yu. Xie Zheng/Wei Yan was also more interesting than qmqq

I think most of my frustration is coming from something I read about the yangyang situation... I thought I was seeing him less although I think he does only one project a year and then news came out that his latest project had changes that he did not know he was signing up for. Many people (myself included) were surprised that something like this could happen to an actor at his level. Then one qrt said that it happens regularly and that you'll see it in shows where side chars played by actors who are not as popular get more screentime than leads and then suddenly they are leads in another project.
I didn't really believe it because op was speaking in vague terms and I can't find that tweet rn, but it has been in the back of my mind since I read it and suddenly with Zhuyu it felt like I was watching it happen in real time. I really hope this is not the case and that it really is a scriptwriter's inability to work around the episode limit that was rumoured to have been reduced at one point or something along those lines.

It's not only Qi Min and Yu Qianqian (though they definitely didn't feature as much in the book by comparison), it's also Li Huaian, and Sui Yuanqing, and the pig butcher squad, and all the ill-timed comedic moments that did nothing to advance the plot, coupled with Zou Yue being utterly unable to pace her story properly, or being able to determine what scenes from the novel could be reasonably cut, and what scenes were important enough to be preserved, and also how the changes she had made in the story would end up impacting those scenes.
I love that she has always been the Marchioness to him, even before he actually met her.
Don't you just hate it when the marchioness who doesn't show she is the marquioness burst out in the prison to kill a man ? And your boss, the marquis said yeah make sure she doesnt do any crazy shit when i'm not there.
Boss she is the crazy shit. I cant handle you so how can I handle your wife ? You cant handle her either.
As one op adressed it, in an era of chinese drama where the wrist grabbing is so important and predominant, hand holding is so important. It is sweet, consented, a real sign of affections and tenderness.
The face of a man that cannot believe the audacity of the Emperor that wants to marry his wife
