Alizeh could be my favorite fmc ever for just how Tahereh highlights that sheâs very empathetic, compassionate and emotional, Alizeh cries easily, sheâs soft hearted, forgiving and merciful but these aspects of her character arenât labeled as flaw or weakness. Alizehâs well spoken, smart, emotionally intelligent and mature, good at communication and confrontation, understanding and kind but she stands her ground, sheâs thoughtful, patient and focused. If you hurt her she will hurt you back but if you make it up sheâs the most forgiving
Because look Alizeh is prophesied to become queen yea? And that Tahereh didnât make her stereotypical badass ruthless heartless fmc is important because this category specifically feels influenced by misogyny sometimes. For so long women have been told that they were âtoo emotionalâ to think logically, that this made them naturally less fit to rule, that crying or showing empathy was weak and unfit for a ârulerâ. But these aspects of Alizehâs characters are never once labelled as âweakness or flawâ. Alizeh is so wholly and unapologetically herself and that is so feminine and so beautiful. Sheâs so strong and her being naturally empathetic and sentimental doesnât antagonize that.
