When I was a girl, while people were (reasonably) frustrated with this and gently corrected me, it was largely understood, by reasonable people at least, to be something I couldn't really control and something that was not done with any malicious intent.

While I am still perceived as a girl IRL, I changed my online username and presentation to be masculine. I have noticed that (and created a spreadsheet to keep track of) people are now perceiving this same exact behavior as malicious. I deleted my Reddit account not too long ago because I got dogpilled for doing so to the point of people DMing me, which, even though I knew it wasn't that big of a deal, made me feel horrible (which is why I deleted my account).

On one hand, I understand the reaction. A (presumably, ostensibly cis) man repeating what a woman is saying does, at surface level, seems like mansplaining — seems like malice, seems like it's a behavior rooted in believing that a man's words hold more weight and are more important than a woman's.

On the other hand, it feels like I am being punished for being both autistic and transmasculine. I can't change this behavior anymore than I can change the course of a river. The only way to prevent it would be to not speak at all. I'm newly discovered, in regards to my transmasculinity. Part of me is so frustrated with this that I was thinking of changing my username and online presentation back to something more feminine or neutral.

Largely, it is also just very frustrating to have it assumed that I have never been a victim of misogyny, including things such as mansplaining. The stripping of my past (and present!) life experiences once I am perceived as a man feels in itself as malicious.

I was wondering if you might have any advice or insight? Apologies if I've gotten the wrong idea. Entire message is meant to be in a "stating a series of events factually and neutrally" tone.

If you draw a hard line between "drug" and "medicine" based on current legality where you live (or any other criteria) you've gone wrong somewhere,

If you think legality and/or prescription status tells you all you need about a substance's capacity to contribute meaningfully to someone's healing, function or happiness you've gone wrong somewhere,

The US Government is currently trying to pass an incredibly dangerous national law for trans youth called HR 2616.

This bill would ban all Federally funded schools from teaching about gender identity or sexual orientation, prevent teachers from using the correct pronouns and names for trans students, remove books with any trans representation in them, and even go as far as to prevent teachers from acknowledging trans identity AT ALL.

Any school that does not follow this will lose all federal funding. This bill would also require teachers to forcibly out trans students to their families, which would be fatal to any trans student with a transphobic Family or just hateful family in general. Trans people are already a group that already has some of the highest rates of being victim to suicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault.

This bill actively makes teachers put those innocent children at such a big risk. This bill has rapidly passed the house this week with support from all 209 republicans, as well as 8 democrats. But, it's still being voted on in the senate, which means there is still time to help stop this.

To help stop this, you can visit 5calls.org (look up 2616 in the search bar), one of the most top issues filed Oppose Attacks on LGBTQ+ Students. Once you put in your general location, it will pull-up contact information for your senator, and give you a script for calling them.

Misogyny enforced by women is too often handwaved away as “internalized misogyny,” and misogynistic women are shown more sympathy and more easily forgiven because they’re victims of the same system they’re enforcing. In contrast, men who are lifelong victims of misogyny (e.g. trans men, intersex men, queer men in general) are rarely given this same grace and in fact are often subject to even harsher scrutiny than their pericishet male peers. This also applies to trans women who, despite being women, are heavily scrutinized and accused of being more misogynistic than cis women due to the myth of “AMAB socialization.”

on a positive note i used to get really sad after hearing someone say chopped but i started using it to describe objects or societal systems i dont like and now i dont get sad anymore!!! its just a word and i use it sometimes and im really happy cause that was an awful time and its nice not to get thousand yard stare type flashbacks when hearing it

Then when bisexuals spoke up and were like "hey we actually do experience homophobia because we are often perceived as queer. Also I'm really uncomfortable with how I'm being treated in my own community" but I responded by spouting statistics about corrective rape and violence against lesbians (despite the fact they never denied the suffering of lesbians), while ignoring their actual objection, we could agree that would be a horrible and biphobic thing to do?
