It’s just called the fundamental theorem of calculus, not the first fundamental theorem of calculus. Just like Shrek and Shrek 2 aren’t called Shrek 1 and Shrek 2.

Veckans problem v.47
Cambridge intervju ahhh
Given these constructions, there is no maximal volume. The volume approaches infinity as the angle approaches 90 degrees.
In fact these formulae are unrelated
the lateral height of a cone is the length of a line segment from the apex of the cone along its side to its base.
try harder.
I’m a math grad student I don’t deserve to be humiliated like this
sorry, it was either you or me :V
I think? But I’m only at undergrad level in mathematics, so feel free to point out if I f@*$ed up. I was never particularly amazing at geometry.
this is entirely correct; very thorough too :3
also this should entirely be accessible to anyone who’s done just enough calculus to talk about maxima and minima of continuously differentiable functions, which means either high school or undergrad calc, depending on your educational path; don’t be so worried ;p
(incidentally you could have skipped from h=l/√3 straight to the answer by using arccos instead of arctan but arctan is a nicer function anyways so w/e)
me looking at this post
A limerick:
Doesn’t look like a limerick to you? Try this:
A dozen, a gross, and a score Plus three times the square root of four Divided by seven Plus five times eleven Is nine squared and not a bit more.

You know your code is good when you catch yourself saying, “Oh, good morning, beautiful!” when you open your laptop and forget your code is still open.
And when you say, “They grow up so fast” after thinking you found a break, but it turns out you were just reading your test case input wrong and the code is actually more correct than you are.
Not even in a totalitarian dictatorship can you divide by zero.

Everything in the world is either a potato or not a potato
This is such a comfortable statement if you like set theory. {The set of all potatoes} has a compliment, containing everything that is not potatoes. I would say that an object in potato complement cannot be perturbed into being a potato, therefore the set is closed. I’d also say that the potato can be sufficiently manipulated to the point where it would not be called a potato any longer, so the set of potatoes is an open set (with a closed complement, as we would want). So the boundary values of potato-ness belong to the non-potato set.
In addition, this is the most relevant my username has ever been
To be fair, if potatoes can be manipulated to the point that they’re no longer considered potatoes, we need to also consider the fact that there are non-potato components of the universe- potato seeds, water, fertilizer- that can be manipulated to the point that they produce potatoes. Hence, both sets need to be open.
Well, closed doesn’t necessarily mean not open. Topologied.
And POOF! It disappears. Not even Harry Potter can do that.
