I stare at the demon in front of me. The glow of its eyes sent shivers down my spine. My body is beaten and bruised, broken….that’s what I am now. I’m broken. I have temporarily lost the use of one eye and my leg is most likely broken. I had hoped that if I had dropped my weapon the drone would have killed me, instead it turns me to the court.

In front of everyone, my fellow teal bloods, my team, friends. My family. Tirona looked so scared, Tagora wouldn’t stop shaking. Lanque tried so hard not to cry but when they said guilty….all I heard was screaming when I was grabbed. Being dragged to my death. My public execution.

I was standing on the stage, they asked if I had last words but….I had nothing to say. I looked the Heiress in the eye, my head held high. A look of…anger? Disgust? I know it wasn’t fear. I wasn’t scared of death, but with my hands bound behind my back, I felt the floor collapse from under me and the rope around my neck kept my weight. It was painful. My neck snapped in an instant, I couldn’t struggle as I suffocated to death. I wonder what happened after.
