There was a serenity, a peacefulness here in this garden Kenshin built for you, a place he built out of his love for you. There was a connection you felt to him, to his love, out there that you didn’t quite feel anywhere else in the castle.
You closed your eyes; the sun was warm on your skin, the breeze blew your hair, long strands tickling your cheeks. In your mind, you relived past moments spent with Kenshin in the garden – late nights hand in hand gazing up at the moon and stars, sparkling from above, sharing in your stolen moments alone.
You heard a gentle rustling, and before you knew it, a pair of arms encircled your waist, pulling you into a hug.
“I knew I’d find you out here,” a familiar voice whispered in your ear.
Spinning around in his arms, you turned to find yourself greeted by your lover, his bi-colored eyes bright and smiling at you. “You’re back early,” you said breathlessly, taken away by his beauty.
