I went to the final unvisited dot on the map. It was the Opera house. Found a dragon. Dragon trashed me. Went to Narshe instead. Found the weapons dealer.
... And then he goes and offers me a CHOICE of which of two things I want, and I have no idea what to choose and which will be best for later and if there is an obvious better choice and aaaaaaaaaaaah 😭
I've decided. I'm gonna go for the Esper over the weapon. I wanna see what Ultima looks like in this game.

Headcanon that needs to get out of my head:
Kefka loves hating Celes. They should be peers but he's usually victorious in their interactions because the power structures of the Empire favor his manipulations and treachery. Extremely rewarding relationship for him.
Kefka hates loving Terra. The Magitek program made him powerful yet broken, but she was simply born in a state of perfection. Any joy she experiences is a reminder that he'll never understand what he lost in his acquisition of power.

WIP Wednesday Update: Chapter 8 Preview
This chapter is gonna be a big one. We have an end to hostilities between the Empire and the Returners. We have a new spirit of cooperation to earn a lasting peace.
Or do we? With Gestahl on the precipice of defeat, is peace truly what's best?
On the plus side, though, Kefka's in jail. Somehow, this makes him even more of a dick.
FFVI time once again, aaaand Coliseum time once again too!
It's so hard to figure out whether or not a prize is worth fighting (and losing your wager) for. I'm too much of a collector for it to be easy to let go of my items!
Did get Shadow though! And found out when I went to give all the equipment back that the Memento Ring is a Shadow Exclusive, which is very interesting 👀.
I do love this kind of storytelling, through items and environment and such. I'm also very curious to see who will fit the "Regal Gown". Yet another new character? 🤔
More Shadow dream lore! I'm gonna have to sail around to all the different cities now aren't I 👀
Still no Cyan though 😭. How is he more elusive than even Shadow??
Okay found traces of Cyan that sent me to Maranda, where he has apparently been cat-fishing the lady who was seeing that wounded soldier that died? Cyan what on earth are you doing??
I thought I was finally gonna catch him on Jidoor, buuut instead there was time for a haunted house! And a Relm at the end. But even more important! A new esper!
.... Which reminds me I completely forgot I was gonna go back to Narshe and pick up Ramuh. Oh well. Now I have something to do next time 😅
(Also wanna bet Cyan is in the last city/map dot I haven't yet been to? The one the airship landed in front of back when I first got it, as if to say "here, start here!!" Which I proceeded to completely ignore in order to go anywhere but there? I do hope he is, I'm running out of clues and hiding places!)
