So... A mysterious Royal Crown... That can only be worn by those with royal blood...? I know what I'm gonna do if/when I get Gerad in my party!

Aw, they didn't let me live in uncertainty for long enough for me to enact my brilliant plan of revealing Gerad's deception using the royal blood detecting crown 😔

They did, however, throw a tentacle monster at me out of nowhere which immediately threw my mind back to this post oh no

Also, these scenes are kinda hilarious with Sabin, once again, just standing there while Celes and Edgar talk. He got that one line, "You could have told us," but when viewed from the lens of "this is his actual twin brother whom he might not have seen since they were all separated a year ago after the world was torn apart" it feels just a teeeensy tinsy bit bitter 😂 I know that it isn't, because it's Sabin, but still.

All these guards on opposite sides of the room that says the same exact line when spoken to... Do you think they work together to decide their line for the day before they go to their post, or do they take turns deciding what to say any given day?🤔

I feel bad asking for the castle to be sunk back into the sand right after they finally got free 😬

.... Darill's tomb... I don't remember a Darill. Should I have? (Rhetoric question). I just have the vague feeling that if I weren't acquainted with Darill before this, I might be by the end of the game 😬🧟👻

Went to Kohlingen, and got so excited about the rumours of this great and polite warrior, thinking I would be going hunting down Cyan next, so I got caught completely off guard seeing Setzer just hanging out right there at the inn! And hey, he knows Darill's tomb, so maybe there won't be any nasty surprises there later in the game after all!

Sidenote: Oh my god I cannot believe I haven't seen any of their imp portraits until just now, this is hilarious

That said, this tomb? Very grand. Extremely so. Which raises the question of how Setzer knew someone so well off/high status/possible nobility?? And who was he to her?

Also, I gotta admit FFVIII has instilled in me such a great instinctive fear of malboros that it surprised me how easy these were in comparison. They didn't even target my whole party at once!

Ooohh, so THAT'S Darill... How the hell did they manage to make 285 pixels look so sexy?? And I'm saying this as an ace person!

Wait, hold on, the cliff Setzer was waiting on isn't the same cliff as the one Celes threw herself over before, is it? Surely it's a coincidence and/or a re-use of assets 🤔
