“jutri je nov dan!”

Kris: It’d been a long day for you. Life was shit, people were even shittier and overall you’d spent the majority of your day feeling overwhelmed. The weather had been getting hotter and hotter, leaving your clothes sticking to your skin and making you feel even more disgusting. You’d come home exhausted, toeing your shoes off and putting your bag down before even thinking about greeting your boyfriend who was somewhere in the apartment. You felt warm arms wrap around you and a face nuzzle into your neck, your body automatically relaxing upon realising it was him. You sighed and turned around in his hold, wrapping your arms around him and snugly making yourself comfortable under his chin. He hadn’t said much; he muttered a soft greeting to you but otherwise let himself be quiet, waiting for you to talk. That’d come eventually, whether it be now, during dinner or later in bed when you’re both ready for sleep, he’d listen and make sure you know you’re heard.

Bojan: He gets being exhausted. He himself is a person who tends to get overwhelmed, tired and just feels upset so he recognises the signs before you do sometimes. When you come home you find fresh flowers in a vase with a card addressed to you as well as your boyfriend coming up to you to pull you in a hug and a kiss. he rocks you two back and forth as he asks about your day but doesn’t pressure you to answer, letting you decide if being held was the only thing you needed at that moment. Later when you’re ready he’ll offer to wash your hair and to let you unwind, perhaps a massage or a cuddling session, whatever it is he’s well equipped and understanding of your needs.

Jan: He senses something’s wrong the moment you reply to his text about dinner with a little less excitement than usual. He ditches the plans for his original dinner idea and makes your favourite meal instead, quickly going to the store to pick up one of your guys’ favourite reds. He gets home before you do and sets up the plates, cleans the kitchen in advance and waits for you to get home with a freshly made dinner. He greets you at the door with a kiss and a hug, letting you rest against him for a while before gently leading you to the dining room so you could maybe vent about your feelings like he knew you usually did. He was a good listener; he’d learned a while ago that you sometimes don’t need a solution but a listening ear and a comforting hold to just get back up in your feet after a long day or after a particularly difficult situation you encountered.

Jure: If there’s one thing he’s good at it’s being innovative. What is something that would make you feel better or something that had been on your mind that would add onto your already pre-existing stress if you had to worry about it? When you come home he reassures you that it’s okay for you to take a nap and that you really need to get some rest, that he’d be fine on his own. In the meantime he assembles that coffee table you’d bought a while back, fixes a shelf and oils some door hinges so they no longer squeak when you open the door. he fixes the living room blinds that were bothering you because they didn’t fully close and spent the second portion of your nap taking out the cardboard box from the coffee table, sweeping the floor from the mess he’d made as well as make sure that you couldn’t tell that he’d turned you apartment into a makeshift construction site. he just hoped it’d make you feel better. gave you a very proud tour of the apartment when you wake up and nods along as he explained how he fixed what. Bathes in the thank you hugs and kisses.

We are going into this with a preface that they’re in a good mood and actually want to party, btw

Kris: Slightly shocked, likes the attention though. If it’s a surprise birthday party he’d either be completely clueless or know immediately but pretend he didn’t for the sake of your happiness. he’s happy that people he cares about are there to celebrate (especially if his wine/champagne is there) and he’s very grateful to have you in his life and that you’ve taken the time to throw him a party.

Bojan: very excited about it! He’s a social person so he’d try to say hi to absolutely everyone with the same amount of excitement before finding you and giving you a nice hug as a thank you. His happiness doesn’t dwindle for the entire evening and is trying to spend as much time with you as he is with other people around him. shows gratitude with hugs, kisses and whatever verbal affection he can come up with.

Jan: See now, slightly tricky. Can fuck with a party but also enjoy a smaller get together with close friends and good music. He’s happy that you threw him a party, but doesn’t express his gratitude as openly as let’s say Bojan. You can see it on his face that he’s very grateful for it though.

Jure: Somehow keeps getting surprised after the initial surprise? Like: ‘oh my god you threw me a party?!’ and then he steps inside and he’s like ‘oh my god my friends are here too?!’ ‘you shouldn’t have!’ but very excited for it and ready to fuck some shots up fr. dances and sings loudly (drinks a lot, i imagine) and in general has the best time.

The breakup had been brutal. You’d found out he’d been cheating on you for the last few months with the ‘girl best friend’ he was allowed to keep while you had to pull away from your friends in order to “respect your relationship.”

Kris: Very sympathetic when you show up and tell him how awful it actually was. he offers you some tea and is talking shit about him for as long as you want, he bites back the ‘i told you so’ and decides that he’d wait for a bit before trying to make a move on you.

Instead he tries to make you feel better by calling you over to his apartment, light a scented candle or two that he got purely because you like them and try to make you forget him with his own charm and wit. the flirting is slightly unintentional.

Bojan: Very excited when he found out. He’d been hoping and praying to the universe for times like this, he’s been getting his speech ready and cracking his knuckles for the moment he could show you how much better he was.

he showed up to your apartment in the most cliche way possible; flowers, chocolate and ice cream and ended up watching trashy tv with you while you complained about how bad the ex was, Bojan nodding along and shit talking him right back.

Jan: A very observant guy. he mainly listened to you cry and didn’t talk at all, instead letting you complain about him and cry in his arms. he got you a blanket and some coffee you like, simply letting you vent.

his arm was wrapped around you and rubbing your shoulder while Igor was perched up on your lap and making biscuits to try to subconsciously soothe you (Igor needed some reinforcements for extra treats and affection anyway)

Jure: Not subtle. ‘Well thank fuck you dumped him, I hated that guy,’. he’d tell you as soon as possible (maybe wait for a second before trying to kiss you, he’s not a monster) but in general very, very happy to finally have you be avaliable.

it’s been you, it’s always been you and if he has to make you dinners for months, cuddle you, take you out and parade you around, then so be fucking it. he’d do anything to get you as his girl in the end and was going to do anything so everyone knew he was yours.

Nace: Very well spoken about it. He’d comfort you and make sure you feel seen and heard but still explain to you why he didn’t like him and why he thinks you’re better off alone. He knows that you’re capable of getting through it and healing from this relationship, but still offers some help for an extra push.

I feel like they’d start out pretty easily, you know? they get to the beach, set everything up, solve some crosswords in Croatian as one does, maybe eat some fruit before going in for a swim.

The jetski was originally Bojan’s idea but Jure came along and somehow roped Kris into it too while Jan and Nace swam around the ocean and like threw a ball back and forth. dare i say would have chicken fights, Nace and Jan on the bottom, Jure and Bojan on top, Kris is occasionally a mediator before switching with Jan.

Dare i say they went to Pula, since Bojan has a weekend house there.

Anyways, I feel like for convenience sake they take two cars and Nace, Kris and Bojan go from Ljubljana together and Jure and Jan go together because Logatec is on the way anyways.

they stop in between in the same gas station and chat before grabbing snacks and switching the driver and getting to Pula in a (hopefully) decent time.

after unpacking and situating themselves they relax for a while before going to a local grocery store to stock up on some food for dinner and deciding who’s cooking when. The beach i feel like is a day 2 activity (maybe late afternoon day 1 if they really feel like it).

Kris: I feel like he’s very educated on the LGBT community in general, especially considering his family. He’d ask questions and ask about your limits and what you’d be interested in doing (if you were even interested into doing anything sexual) and make sure to always wait for your initiation or for a positive response from you.

Bojan: very pookie, #wokesociologist fr. he tries comforting you the best he can about him still loving you and still wanting to be in a relationship with you, despite you not wanting to be sexually intimate. he’d find other ways to be intimate with you that you both enjoy (ie, cuddling, showering together, skin on skin contact, whatever else) in general, tries really hard.

Jan: I feel like he could see that something was bothering you when you were first trying to bring it up. He wouldn’t push but would give s gentle nudge into the direction of ‘hey, i’m here to listen if you need me to,’ and would wait for you to bring it up. he’d take his time to process it (primarily to make sure he fully understands your limits, boundaries and your likes/dislikes so he can fully apply them to your relationship) and try to show you that he loves you just as much as he did before you had this conversation. sex isn’t everything anyways.

Jure: Would feel like a wild card but also i feel like he knows how to problem solve really well. He’d try to ask you and come to a conclusion as to what you like and what is something that he can still do with you that a) doesn’t make you uncomfortable (because that’s the number one priority) and b) something that he enjoys as well. Would try to make you feel better with small jokes here and there and a lot of hugs.

He was nervous. Like very nervous. He’d planned every second of the day, every move, every breath and every second you’d spend together or apart.

He’d gotten a few days off band duty and asked if you could get a couple of days off your job too for a small getaway to the Italian shore. You’d spent it visiting museums, getting food and swimming in the ocean together, laughing and smiling as you made new memories.

Then the moment came. He’d made sure you were dressed up the way you liked and ready like you usually did before taking you on a date at a restaurant you’d mentioned wanting to try before going on a small evening stroll on the beach in the sunset. He asked you with his usual sweet smile, albeit a bit more shy than usual before getting down on one knee and pulling out a ring he’d picked out that was just perfect for you.

Kris: Hot girl walks. this man struts through Tivoli like there’s no tomorrow (especially in the spring and summer) so you take like a nice late afternoon walk and run into him, for sure!

Bojan: is it pretentious to say a sports/wellness centre? this man is either swimming in lakes, riding horses or fucking hiking. idek what else i’d expect from him except like finding him in a random sauna in Bohinj after a dip in the lake or a horseback riding trip.

Jan: Record shop/music shop. i feel like he’s a physical media type of a guy, so you’d find him either in like a Muller or like a Ljubljana record store, either ordering a vinyl for himself or picking one up. Bonus points if you want the same one and he takes the last copy. fight it out like alpha males idk 🤷‍♀️

Jure: I was originally gonna put him for a cafe but i feel like i’d stumble into him in like a forest? forest, a hill, countryside, something along those lines. like this man looks like i’d stumble into him while he’s helping his friend pick apples in peak season.

Kris: despite being portrayed as the “responsible one” that mf doesn’t do shit except for show up and load his suitcase into the trunk. gets there on time, has coffee on him and a pink neck pillow he borrowed from his mom, his boarding pass is on his phone and favourited, and he made sure he doesn’t have liquids on his carry on. has the addresses saved on google maps though. owns one of those fuckass books on literally every country that’s a guide for tourists

Bojan: also gets there on time (kinda?) has some snacks and is most likely to bring burek for on the way for them to snack on or have for breakfast (complains cause there’s no yoghurt though) has his boarding pass screenshotted in his gallery, doesn’t have it favourited so he’s looking for it panicked in the line. finds the most touristy things to do (so the most typical shit you’d see wherever they’d go) probably would wanna go to a zoo or an aquarium

Jan: that man is present but only physically, especially if it’s early as fuck in the morning. headphones on the entire time except when going through security or when he’s looking for his gate, does not want to be bothered if he’s tired. his pass is in his apple wallet and his suitcase is packed neatly to have the most space left for things he wants to buy there. looks for cafes, vintage stores and other holes in walls that’d be interesting.

Jure: unsure if his suitcase is too heavy because he weighed it by standing on s scale and then standing on a scale with the suitcase and subtracting that weight of it, but yolo or something (he would say that fr) forgot to put his boarding pass and ticket in his wallet so he searches for the confirmation email frantically. finds restaurants and food related places as well as pubs that are best rated by price to review ratio.
