First post of the new year and it is a messy sketch … yaaaay, doing it right. -.-’

I’m trying hard to get back to drawing after leaving this blog so long without any content … so I drew a messy sketch of Javik from mass effect 3.

His character is so well written and sometimes he is just such an ass and make me laugh so hard. :D

"That's it?" Garrus watched Williams move her eyes up and down Shepard's body. Not a leer, but still with the general sense that she was looking at meat instead of a person. "You show up after two years like nothing's happened?"

Shepard let her lip drop, but she said nothing. Williams stepped forward. "I would have followed you anywhere. You were more than our commander." 

Garrus watched as the two women began to argue. He'd been a passive eavesdropper to so many of their conversations in the cargo bay; they had never sounded like this. It nearly felt too personal for him to be standing there, and he wanted to give them privacy, but-

"So you are with Cerberus now. Garrus, too. I can't believe the reports were true."

Chapter Thirty-Two: Mirror

Zaeed Massani has never been one to look long into the mirror. He has a face full of scars and a heart full of rage and one good eye that keeps looking back, because the past has never been a finished thing for him.

Zaeed plants his hands along the sink’s basin, squinting into the mirror.

Sometimes he sees a charismatic man, sometimes a gruff mercenary, sometimes an angry drunkard.

Sometimes he sees the way things could have been.

But that one good eye keeps looking back.

He sighs, gaze dropping.

And the more I play, the more I think Bioware was inspired by the Galactic Basic, which uses the Aurebesh alphabet, to create the trade language in Mass Effect:

If I understand correctly it originated in 1993 from Stephen Crane and evolved over time. Btw, I never know if this is the sort of things that are way too obvious to people and I'm behind and being a pain, or if it's just something that makes no sense at all. Or if it's worth thinking about. I'm no expert in SW lore, and no linguist, but I do see similarities.

Examples of our trade language:

It's not the same at all, which is why I used the word "inspired" but it kinda has that same feel to me? Like walking around the game in SWTOR, it feels familiar.

Anyway, I think this post with @dragonflight203's reaction and tag in a reblog (#for better and for worse bioware is not tolkien) made me realize that yeah Bioware is not Tolkien (and it wouldn't be fair to ask them to be) and perhaps I am thinking too much about this trade language because it might be the equivalent of Bioware putting a weird alien-like font in Word and having fun with it loool

BUT I am stubborn and I still want an alphabet!
