i feel everything.

“i can only survive off cheap wines.”  sébastien laughed. “so i’ll give you a little hint, anything i’m going to give you is less than 20. and i can get behind this.”  sébastien raised his glass to clink with mason before taking a drink. 

at the mention of his language, sébastien gave a girlish giggle. “i love sushi– it was one of the first meals i had when i came here and i’ve never tried it before. i’ve never known that you sell raw meats, especially fish.”  sébastien felt his mouth water as the smell from the baked fish hung in the air. “just a couple more minutes, let me check it.” he hopped off the bar stools and went to the oven. he turned on the light to see the sizzle of the fish. 

“the difference is in the sanitation or the eggs. so, the states, after the eggs are collected, you wash the egg in a chemical that melts the cuticle of the egg. you use the chemical wash to rid the egg of things like poop and other thing that can possibly get on the egg. however, the cuticle is used to prevent things like parasites. in order to combat that, american’s store their eggs in the fridge. 

in the european nations, we don’t do that, we have laws in place for our farms to be more sanitary and so that less dirty gets on it initially. therefore, we can store our eggs at room temperature. because of this separation, you cannot sell us eggs in the european nations and vise versa.”  sébastien took out the dinner. he got out two plates from the cabinets and started to split up the food between them. article.

In return, Mason clinked his glass to Sébastien. “If it ends with me drunk and feeling good, I can get behind it too! Our own little wine tasting.” 

With questions come answers, and Sébastien had them ready for Mason. In fact, Mason was a little shocked by just how much he knew in regards to eggs. The french man was impressing Mason more and more as the evening progressed. “Wow. I’m going to be leaving here with a plethora of information in regards to eggs. So, now my next question would be whose eggs are better? Ours or Europe? What’s best?”  There was probably something Mason could’ve done to help but he was the guest and already offered to get wine glasses earlier, how much assistance did he really need to give? So, instead of doing anything, Mason just watched and sat sipping his wine. “Do you do this often? Have friends over and make them dinner?” He asked, admiring the comfortability Sébastien seemed to feel in the kitchen. “Or am I just lucky?” 

“perhaps i should cover your eyes next time shouldn’t i?” sébastien asked as he lifted up a piece of paper and covered mason’s eyes, all the way up to the mouth. “maybe test the true limits of your aristocratic name.” he laughed as he lifted it away and turned it around to show a little messy doodle of plants. he laughed and put it down. 

“oh anything, i just love the sweet raw flavor in my mouth. the golden grade a fish that has been kept so well to be eaten without any sort of enhancement other than the precise cut of a blade. and as you discribe, pair it with some soy sauce and a pinch of heat– it is a dream. thinking about spicy tuna now just makes me want to ditch the dish and move myself to a sushi restaurant. i could never control myself around tamago.” sébastien perked up. “did you know that eggs from the states can’t be sold in europe while european eggs cannot be sold in the us. one of the things i thought was so weird coming here was the americans keep their eggs in fridges.”  

Mason rolled his eyes playfully from behind the piece of paper not that he could be scene. “If you did that, you might find I’m not as aristocratic as one might think when it comes to my drink preference. If it gets me buzzed, honey, I’ll drink it.” 

“The way you just described a piece of raw fish being eaten is enough to almost give me an orgasm. I can literally taste what you’re describing. What a way with words.” He licked his lips, his stomach growling inaudibly. “I’d be willing to blow off everything to go get sushi, but I’m very interested in the meal you currently have going for the two of us.” Mason hummed, and cocked his head slightly to the side as Sébastien educated him on eggs. “I didn’t know that at all. What’s wrong with US eggs that they can’t be sold in Europe and vice versa? And, wait, if you don’t keep them in the fridge where do you put them? How do you store them? And doesn’t the fridge keep them from going bad longer? I never thought I’d have so many questions pertaining to eggs.”

It’s McKinley.. so I’m pretty sure most things around here are made of plastic. Like, I’m not even sure that the desks are even made out of wood. They’re SO hard to carve, so that SCREAMS plastic to me. If I see her around when we’re hanging out, I’ll yell at her so you know who she is!! YES! Thank you i love knowing the facts. Unless it’s for classes. That’s boring facts. 

You make an excellent point. I guess that was some extreme hopeful thinking on my part. I guess as long as they’re painted a shiny color, I’d be okay with the award. Please do. I’m sure it’s best I have an introduction since she’s so elusive like you say so thank you for that in advance. Oh, agreed. We need to have classes suited more for adults and less classes for things like statistics. 

What’s wrong with water from a tap?

Oh, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with water that travels through rusty pipes that are never cleaned. There aren’t tons of pollutants that can found in it and if ingested for long durations can cause extreme harm to the body. 

it’s so calming. i love the clashing of the beautiful cute colors and seeing my work in a 3D sense. there really are beautiful premade pictures out there. 

and what is that? 

Hopefully someone is getting a change to admire them and they’re not locked away in Figgins’ drawer somewhere. 

My outlet is called ignoring my feelings until they’re no longer an issue. 

“please! please come and bring the romantic air of that surrounds your noble persona.”  sébastien sung. “and the wine glasses are on the bar.” he opened the bottle. he jumped at the pop and walked over to the bar. he poured the glasses and got onto one of the bar stools. he leaned against the bar excitedly to talk to mason. 

“as for the salmon it’s smoked salmon. i was able to pick it up from the whole foods. it looks and smelt delicious. i had some earlier– i pealed off a slice and ate it. i love raw fish– whenever i first had sushi, it was my new muse.” 

Mason joined Sébastien at the bar, and took a drink from the glass of wine the brunette had poured for him. “Mm, not bad at all. If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve assumed this was on more of the expensive side,” he commented, raising his his drink in the air and swirling the wine around in the glass.  

Nearly salivating at the mouth, Mason listened to all this talk food. “Really? What sort of things did you do with sushi?” Intrigued, he raised his eyebrows up at the brunette and brought his wine glass to his mouth taking another small sip. “I’m a huge fan of sushi, too. Give me a spicy tuna roll with a heaping side of wasabi, and I am a very happy boy.”

I hope we end up having like.. some kind of camp awards at the end. Like ‘best hair’ and stuff. You would get ‘most improved in liking camp’. i would get ‘best butt’. Yeah! I think that’s her thing. Or there’s Marley. She makes the best buzzy cakes and stuff. She’s SUPER elusive but worth it when you find her. Like where’s Waldo. 

As long as the awards aren’t cheap plastic, I can get on board with an idea like that. I love winning things. You would definitely earn the title of ‘best butt’ or even ‘best body’. You clearly take very good care of yourself and it’s been noticed. Hmm, Marley has her own little underground baking thing going on? Now that is something I need to learn more about. Oh wow, you’re easily offended. I guess it make sense, you are a Plastic after all. As entertaining as a conversation about tea is, I’m going to have to pass on that. Being on campus is already boring enough without adding this to the mix.

Yes I am a Plastic, and being a Plastic means appreciating the finer things in life but I shouldn’t expect a Skank to understand that or have such a refined palate even though it is just tea we are talking about. I’m sure you actually enjoy drinking water from the tap. 

That sounds awful. I’d much prefer the water gun fight over drinking tea like we’re 75 years old.

Tea is not just for the elderly, and I take a slight offense to that. Tea has amazing health benefits and its calming properties are something I’m sure many students here could benefit from. Plus, you cannot go wrong with a drink that tastes great when heated or iced.

I’m real proud of you too and we’ve had a BALL of a time, ain’t we?? You should ask Elaine about her tea though.. It totally makes me sleepy and tastes a little like armpits, but in a good way? I think it’s probably drugs or something. But the good drugs.

Now that’s the kind of thing we should be indulging in this summer! I’m definitely going to need to talk to her. Thank you for letting me know, Sam. 

I’m proud of you for lasting so long considering I know this hasn’t exactly been your prefer vacation but we’re almost there. No complaints, huh? The water fight was definitely childish but sometimes it’s fun to do silly things like that. I kinda enjoyed it. I also like reading, though so that also sounds like a fun idea.

Thank you. Someone who recognizes how amazing it is I’ve made it so far. Maybe a complaint or two, but striving for fewer than normal. We’ll see how long I last. You actually enjoyed it? I don’t see what’s enjoyable about getting wet and ruining whatever outfit you chose for that day. Now reading, yes, that’s fun. Everyone’s quiet and minding their own business. It’s ideal for everyone. 

yo dude, this place ain’t the bad, this summer tots went by way to fast. especially hangin around this place. also gives me time to think about what’s up and comin’  for the school year. personally, i’m pretty on top of the world right now. whatever they have– they can totally bring it! 

I agree, it actually is going by faster than I imagined which is nice. But I don’t care much about what’s coming up for the school year since, besides classes, most things we do here are fairly moronic. I guess you’re among the ones who are able to find pleasure in these pointless events, so enjoy your mountain and being on top of the world. 

“oui.”  sébastien answered. “it’s a dream come true. to be surrounded by the thoughts and feelings of the general public, to bathe in their odds and ends; to absorb their spirits. the more and more you listen to them, the more you can evolve your field and expand the horizons to each the true levels of being an artist.“ he ranted on, lost in his love for his job. 

“as i said– it enhances the charm of the apartment, does it? just to have his essence around all the time… i am that obvious aren’t i?” sébastien nodded eagerly. “oh yes, i have done some shopping, please come! i got some asparagus, lemons, stew, and salmon… oooo best of all wine~”   sébastien went to the fridge and pulled out the bottle or stella rosa. “i hope that this will be okay? it’s not that expensive.” 

If anyone else had been speaking about art in such a manner, Mason would’ve checked out of the conversation from the start. Yet, there was always something about a man with an accent where even the most boring things sounded so fascinating. “What a feeling that must be,” he hummed. “Your passion for art is almost contagious. I’m even considering attending a museum sometime soon.” 

Mason shrugged, “A bit obvious but understandably so. Sam is very good looking and apparently a very creative man too.” He glanced once more at the painting before entering the kitchen. “Salmon? Very nice. Sounds like I’m in for quite a meal.” His gaze followed Sébastien, and he grinned at the bottle of wine. “All wine ends up tasting the same after a bottle or two, no worries. Where are your wine glasses?” Mason asked, offering his help. 

i’m so excited. thank you. i’ll go shopping right away. 

thank you, thank you for your kindness. simply the joy of getting something handcrafted and written is simply worth everything. to feel your fingers touch such a powerful weapon as a brush, pen, or laptop. it all feels so good. i would just want to see the smiles and involve an emotion.

you remind me of somebody else who makes this claim. i could never imagine being able to hide my feelings from the world. you surely have an outlet? 

You’re welcome. Sounds like making something for Jake and Sam would give you quite some pleasure.  It’s easier than you realize. I have an outlet of sorts, I guess you could say. One that works for me, anyway. 

Glad to hear you’re coming around! And, yeah, the water fight was pretty weird. But I suppose it wouldn’t be a McKinley anything without a weird competitive sport. I’d love a nice ‘sit around the fire and tell stories’ activity myself.

More like I’m enduring. No, I guess you’re right. It does seem like we go to a school that loves to have gives us activities to do that preschoolers would enjoy more than us. I could get on board with some stories especially ghost stories. I love a good scare. 

“very good. i am enjoy a short day at work.” sébastien answered. “what about you?” he stopped at the painting that sam gave to him. he couldn’t help but chuckle at the surprise on mason’s face. “oh dear, seems we’ve lost the class that i hope i could elude to today. that is from sam.”

even though mason was correct, sébastien kept the smile on his face. “he told me that he painted his bottom and sat on the painting. i think it captures his charming loving personality. don’t get me started on sam, we’ll me standing here all night. unless you want to hear me rave on a simple crush.” 

“Now, who can complain about a short day? You have an internship at a gallery right? You must love being around works of art all day.” Mason had remembered Sébastien mentioning his summer internship, and was fairly interested in what the man did there. “Oh, I’m just happy to get away from camp, so thank you for having me.”  “I think it actually adds a little special something to the aesthetic you have going on here. It looks nice,” he assured Sébastien. And while he went into detail about the painting, Mason scanned the lines of objects that Sam created on the canvas. “It is very creative. I wouldn’t expect really anything less of Sam.” He cocked his head to the side, and gave Sébastien a small grin. “Crush on Sam, huh? While I am intrigued by that, I’m also intrigued but what I’m smelling.” He sniffed at the air, and without thought began walking towards the kitchen. “What is that deliciousness?” 

button up red shirt, dress pants with a clean black belt, and his doc martins, sébastien excitedly danced around his apartment. he checked the fresh fish he got from the asian market. he put in the oven and waited. he looked up whenever he heard the door. he made his way over and opened the door. 

“hello.” his french accent wavered in a happy tone as he swung the door open wider to allow the other passage into the apartment. “how are you? i hope that this wasn’t too hard for you to find.” 

Any reason to leave camp, Mason was all for, and spending an evening with Sébastien drinking wine was the ideal reason to escape. He arrived at the apartment dressed in straight black pants, a light pink short-sleeved button down with small black dots on it, and a pair matching black oxfords. “I’m good, thank you. And I had no trouble, not too hard at all. How are you doing?”  Mason sauntered into Sébastien’s apartment, his eyes glancing around the room. He wasn’t surprised by the decor and the way the apartment was set up. Sébastien had an eye for art. One panting in particular had caught Mason’s eyes. Pointing towards the wall in hung on, he quirked his eyebrows up. “Is that a penis?”
