don't fall for scammers!!!

so i was messaged by a scammer

i know this scam has been around for a while, but i just had something like an anxiety attack about it because i genuinely love my blog and wouldn't want to lose it.

so i wanna remind everyone NOT to give out any passwords or sensitive information. like, never, just report and block them.

ok, so basically with this scam, someone might message you that they "accidentally reported you" and that they wanna solve it with you, so they direct you to discord or something to talk to "tumblr staff" and there they'd pressure you into giving out your account information, if you do they'll take over your account.

worst thing about it is this scam message can come from a mutual's account, if they fell for the scam themselves and lost their account to the scammer.

anyways, i was messaged this, so this is what it can look like. also, clearly this message was copied and pasted by the way it's written compared to the first messages

i already reported and blocked the account.
